Miss Aya is extremely giving, and nurturing.... Every time I go to her class, I see all the children are so peaceful, I have never heard any of the children cry... and they learnt so much. My daughter tells me that she misses her teacher over weekends, and that makes me feel so grateful. I have seen a big difference in her personality... She's happier and more confident due to the teacher she has who focuses on overall growth of the personality for the children. if i could rate 0 i would I brought my son in for a "trial"…read moreday. I specifically asked to be notified if my son was having a hard time and wasn't. I text both directors within one hour of dropping him off asking how he was doing and received NO response. After a while i was set up on the parent app and sent a picture of my son "hugging" another kid with the caption "making friends". First red flag! My son will not just hug anyone infact he wouldn't know what to do if you asked him to do that so i was positive this was staged! According to the schedule, my son should have been in circle time, so I asked for a picture of him and circle time in which I received a picture of him from behind. Knowing my son I could tell from his past year, he wasn't happy even though I couldn't see his face so I asked to see a picture of his face and no one ever responded, this caused me to go to the school and pick him up. When I arrived, there was a lady that I had never met at the front desk. The doors were not locked. I just walked right in and as I'm walking past her, I told her I was going to check on my son and she said OK, there was no check for ID no lock on the door nothing! Upon arriving to my sons class I'm looking through the two way mirror for my son I couldn't find him. This was because he was at the bottom of the door crying. I open the door picked up my son and his eyes were almost swollen. Shut from crying. I asked the teacher how long he had been crying. She said for 30 minutes I asked why she didn't call me she said because she thought he would stop! This is crazy because I asked for them to call me if he was having a hard time and clearly they did not. Another issue is all of the teachers are foreign, and have heavy accents, so for a toddler to be placed in an unfamiliar environment with teachers who do not speak clear English isn't very comforting. This was my first time meeting the teachers because when I went for a tour, it was at 5 PM when they were getting ready to close so the teachers had left. So I proceed to pick up my son, take all of his belongings and walk out the door when I arrived home 20 minutes later, one of the directors which I text at 9:45 responded to my inquiry of how my son was doing by saying."HE IS DOING VERY GOOD MOMMY HE IS EATING LUNCH"! I then responded"He can't be eating lunch because I PICKED HIM UP 20 MINUTES AGO" she then responds with "you don't want him to eat lunch"? Usually a hug and a cracker will bring him back down to earth. We told all of this to the supervisor during our initial phone call and she said, "We definitely have openings, this won't be a problem. Why don't you come take a tour?" We scheduled one for that following Friday. We were toured by Soni (sp?) and it became clear that this would be a problem. She only talked about the gifted kids in the school and, when prompted to talk about the average kids, she shrugged and said, "We deal with them." We met the 4 year old class, all sitting quietly and coloring, while the teacher looked on. We were introduced as the parents of our son, "Who has special needs, so I don't know what to say to you." What does that even mean? My son was quiet and polite, if not a little shy, the whole tour. We left with the feeling that this wouldn't be a good fit. 5 days later, we received a voicemail from the supervisor saying, "We don't have the teachers to handle him or any openings." What happened to "this wouldn't be a problem"? What happened to the openings? It's as if, by some neuro divergent prejudice, our son magically became a problem. Do not send your kids here unless they are "perfect".

There is a focus on fostering independence and responsibility in the classrooms and both my daughters have really enjoyed and thrived in this environment. The children were each fully engaged in their own individual activity, it was quiet and the manners and behavior observed was very pleasing. Not knowing much about Montessori when we enrolled, we learned that the Montessori approach allowed our son to learn at his own pace building his self-confidence. The approach to learning language and math introduce concepts using sensorial materials that build on top of each other. Our son is now reading and does basic addition/subtraction all before the age of 5. We also like the balance that the school strikes between education and free play and how invested the teachers are in the development of the kids. There was an issue with a teacher that was reported to state. There was no open communication between the school and parents, everything was kept very hush hush. Parents started to talk and get together and a few of us that were communicating with each other got the notice that they would no longer be providing care for our children. I think the handling of the situation was very poor on the school's end. It felt like the school was more concerned with protecting themselves than the children. There are, however, a couple teachers/directors that are very good and well liked by the children.
