I just called to schedule an emergency water shut off of a sprinkler head that broke and was flooding my hill (during the rain) and sideyard. First available was 1.5-2 hours out. Not the worst, but not encouraging. Thankfully, the issue was resolved while on the phone when the timer shut off and I was able to cap the head myself. Saved me $80! PS. I discovered that the business has changed ownership effective 2019. I don't believe that had anything to do with the long response time to a busted pipe call, but information is power. I know they are no longer at this address... but either way, these guys are great. First off, I was scheduled for Monday and they knew I was concerned because of the impending rains... so they added weekend hours and called me to offer to come two days earlier! It's supposed to rain again tonight, so any protection against El Nino is key! Second, Richie and Parker went above and beyond and kept me within the time frame I requested. They helped dig out some roots, too and got the drains flowing again and were both decent, hard working and good guys. Third, based on calling around, they seem to be on the lower end pricing-wise, which is obviously important. While Oaks Drain did a good job clearing my main drain the last couple of times, their prices have skyrocketed. At my one story house, the drain needs to be cleared from the roof. The last couple of times it has cost around $159 or so - a fair price. Today I was quoted $425 for the same service. They usually are in and out within a half hour or so (it happens about every other year). $425 seems like a pretty big jump. Even $145 for doing it from an easily accessible front clean out seems pricey. They have done good work in the past, but they won't be doing any more for me at that price. read more

Our kitchen drain was clogged and we were getting waste water into the kitchen. I called Thousand Oaks Plumbing (Oaks Drain Service) around 7:00 pm. Their answering service answered right away and took the message. Shortly after, I was contacted by one of the ladies at the plumbing center. She asked appropriate questions to assess urgency of our situation and let us know upfront what the emergency service call would cost ($160 which was very reasonable for the after-hour emergency call). She said the technician was at another job site and she would call in a few minutes to let us know about the wait time. She called 5 minutes later to let us know Tyler is the technician who is coming and he is about 40 minutes away. Tyler came sooner than expected; was very polite and professional and did a great job. It was a very difficult situation; but he took care of everything and fix it all. Tyler was also incredibly nice. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend them. read more

This company is a pleasure to work with. We needed our sewer line replaced from the house all the way out to middle of the street. Romero came out and gave us a written estimate/invoice (good for a year) and we decided about 2 months later. The starting date was set up and we were informed all along the way as to the time frame and schedule. The crew (consisting of Jesse, Gavin, Doug, John and Gerry) were incredibly polite and very organized (thanks mainly to Jesse's management over the crew). At end of day, the area was always left clean and organized. They did not have to dig up the whole lawn, only an area with a fairly deep hole. The whole process, including waiting for permit inspectors only took 3.5 days. You can barely see now where the hole was. We couldn't be more pleased and HIGHLY recommend Oaks Drain Service for your plumbing/sewer needs. Just had a clogged kitchen drain snaked by Tyler with T.O Plumbing and was very satisfied with his service of solving the problem for $145.00. I had another plumber from a home warranty service and he wanted $600.00 to fix the problem. He said we needed a new clean out line which was not necessary. I have used this service in the past and have been very satisfied. I am not sure if there has been a change at the company, but the most recent experience was not very good. I called two days in advanced and scheduled an appointment first thing in the morning between 8am and 11am. No one called to confirm the appointment and when I called in the morning they informed me that they had 2 people call in sick and were running behind. They also said that my appointment was for 9am to 11 and that they would call to update me later. After no call, at 10am I called back to check and they said they were still at their fist job, it wasn't complete and would I like to reschedule. No I wouldn't. Finding a good plumber is hard, but I will try someone else. I can understand that things happen, and I would not have been dissatisfied if someone proactively called me, but they didn't bother to do that. Ok an update from my experience. I originally rated the company 2 stars because to my above experience. I got another plumber and this guy was not able to clear the slow drain and tried to sell me an expensive $300 dollar jet clean service. I said no and as the drain was still slow I tried Oaks Drain again. They showed up on time and they successfully cleared the drain. Now everything is working like a charm. I guess anyone can have a bad day. So though they kind of screwed up once in general they are a very good company. read more
