I was wanting to use my credit card points for something fun to do on our trip to Denver. I came across this place and thought it sounded fun and unique. Our appointment was early since we had to fly out that day. We arrived right when they opened (8 am) for our 8:30 appointment. The workers kindly greeted us and got us all checked in. They then showed us the tap wall and let us sample any that we wanted. My boyfriend and I both decided on the orange creamsicle beer, which was very surprising to me since I do not like beer!! (It didn't taste like beer at all!!!) We got to sit in their lounge, eat some complimentary trail mix and banana chips, and select our infusion for our spa. Shortly after, someone took us to our room. They definitely were sticking to a script, which felt less authentic, but they seemed friendly nonetheless. The spa room was clean and romantic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Something that was nice was that you could press a button and have them bring you a refill of your drink, which we did once. You could also go out to the taproom in your robe to get another drink. The one complaint I have, like others have said, is the automatically added 20% tip. I understand that you can change the tip, but it is uncomfortable to do that, particularly when they are standing right there. 20% tip is a lot when the service is already $199 plus drinks. Other than that, we really enjoyed the time and would recommend it!!

Celebrated my birthday here and it was a wonderful experience! We had a group of 4 so we booked the garage party, which is 2 private adjoining rooms that they open a half-wall garage door in between. My best friend and her hubs were in one room and we were in the other with our own tubs. They ask you to get there at least 30 mins before your appointment to have you select which herb bundle you want for your soak (we went with the energizing IPA which was complimentary as well as the Muscle Relaxing Lager that was a $10 add-on). They take you to the self-serve drink taps where you can sample their beer, wine, or spritzes. You're given your own insulated cup and you can choose your beverage before heading into the spa. We had the ADA room which was larger than the other and able to fit 4 of us in the sauna. They recommend 15 mins in the private sauna, a cold shower rinse, and then the remainder of the time in the tub. The tub starts draining 20 mins before your session is up to give you time to get out and shower. The jets are going the whole time so that pretty much muffles any exterior sound and we did have to raise our voices a bit to hear eachother from tub to tub, but it was great! The little details they've added really enhance the experience. It's a nice touch you can add a birthday or anniversary banner for $10. They give you sandals to wear in the spa so you don't need to bring your own. I loved the little talking prompts all around the spa and in the sauna to strike up conversation. It actually brought our group closer and we learned things about eachother we didn't know before. They hang robes in your room so you can pop out of the tub and go into the lobby to fill your drink OR there's a call button in the room for one of the staff to come in and refill your drink for you. There is a lock on the door so when it's time to shower (which is completely open to the room) you can lock up and no one can come in. The showers have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We had our garage door closed for that so each couple had their privacy. They also have a communal room to blow dry your hair equipped with lotion, hair ties, deodorant, etc. After our soaking experience which was very relaxing, we sat in their cooling / quiet area to unwind. We decided to add on the 15 minute anti-gravity massage chairs for $20 and I'm so glad we did. The room was so relaxing with the sound of waterfalls and stars on the ceiling. Those chairs are legit. We all loved our massages. Paul was a rockstar and provided excellent service. He adjusted our chair settings and helped us with whatever we needed. It was a perfect way to start my birthday weekend. My only gripe is they add a 20% gratuity to your whole bill so it was pretty pricey (over $700 for the 4 of us). Wish there was an option to add on what you like or have it applied to a portion of the service, not the add-ons. But other than that, it was a wonderful, unique experience and someplace I'd return to.

Had a very relaxing spa session at Oakwell. Felt very taken care of and left feeling magnifique! Process: *Come in take your shoes off and take some spa slippers. Leave your shoes at the door. * check in * walk through drink available / how to use / snack add on etc * someone gives you a run down on what herbs to infuse your tub with. (2 options you can select from are included/ one option is the premium options you have to pay to add on) * little tour and explanation of process and timing * shown to your room and enjoy! (Room service available if you need more drinks, snacks to order) Great experience BUT and I hate to have a but. Only thing is the tub felt very lukewarm warm and not hot enough for me. The shower water as well. It was either very cold which is great for a little shock after the sauna but after the tub I wanted to use hot and it was just warm. Only constructive criticism here. You get a drink and are charged per ounce (not included) on my end, wish maybe a first drink was free especially for the packages or special occasion bundles. There are a couple of complimentary snacks (which is nice) and add one for purchase like a charcuterie board, mimosa, champagne or other things. You can also buy items from their line of products (shampoo / conditioner / body lotion / bath bombs etc.) loved the lotion o.O

A wonderful anniversary experience at Oakwell! This was our first time coming to Oakwell - A friend recommended this experience when I was trying to decide what to gift my husband for our anniversary. Booking was easy and I opted to purchase some add ons for our anniversary. The staff were super friendly and walked us through what to expect from our experience. They provide insulated cups for the beer so it stays nice and cold! The room was equipped with a shower, sauna, and hot tub. The staff suggested a particular order of use and I'm glad we followed their advice as it felt like we had the perfect amount of time in each area of the room! We had so much fun that my husband gifted me another Oakwell experience as a Christmas present. We recently moved to the suburbs so we will be trying the suburban location next. We can't wait!

Truly was the one and only thing we fully had planned before our return trip to Denver for our honeymoon! Despite the two+ years passing and the addition of Oakwell to the name nothing has changed. The experience and comfort plus relaxation they provide to you is absolutely incredible and something you must experience yourself to understand! More than just your run of the mill spa as you'd expect from the beer part of the name. Offering a pour yourself beer wall but don't worry other drink options are available as well. They also use hops, malts, and other things typical known to be used in beer for your bath for positive effects (depending on the blend). Once you are checked in and get all the necessary information and beverage of choice they are setting up your room. After it is set they will bring you back and run through all the details and then you get to experience the magic. They do recommend using the sauna then a cold shower before enjoying the bath and finishing with a hot shower to clean up. During that hot shower is a great time to sample their awesome beer ingredient inspired shampoo, conditioner, and body wash! My wife and I love this place so much after both of our experiences. We have been thrilled to see their second location open and may have also heard the future will hold the ability for people to franchise in other locations. Could only dream of a similar experience to come to Maine!

I'd never been to a beer spa so I stopped in since I was in town. They have you remove your shoes upon entry. The vibes seemed relaxing & the seating area was clean. They had a nice selection of beer & wine. I wish there was a bit more variety for the beer. They offer complimentary snacks. The guy at the front desk was friendly & attentive. I absolutely loved the beer spa! I came here on a Sunday for a relaxing day by myself. The service was out of this world! They really take the time to make sure you under and every aspect of the experience. They have 3 different options for your bath. I used the relaxing one and it was amazing! My one thing is the baths themselves aren't heated, so mine got cold and I had to call the attendant to give me more hot water which kind of disrupts the experience. The sauna was amazing! I'm sad I didn't spend more time in there! I also had a 30 minute zero-gravity massage which felt amazing! The room had relaxing music and lighting. The pricing is a little more than I think it should be... at least give me the drink mug for free then! I wouldn't want to pay for it separately...

I booked a visit after seeing Oakwell listed on top 10 spas in the US. I regularly visit other infrared saunas and spas, and I am not used to drinking while doing so. However, although alcohol is part of the vibe, what stands out is the service and the goal to chill out. I liked the presentation of the different soaks and how they explained it more like a tea/bath versus just soaking in beer. The insulated cups, snacks, and general atmosphere was thoughtful, clean, and relaxed. The little room had most everything you'd want- although I'd love a Bluetooth speaker to connect to in the rooms. Everything was clean and I really liked how you could buzz a doorbell and request something if you needed (although I didn't). Also- don't skimp on the massage chair time- was really good pressure and gets a good amount on your butt and hips! Perfect for a little cool down. After your done, it is nice to hang out in the main room, have a drink and relax. It helps to transition from spa back into the day. I'd go again. I also liked the texting to confirm and even added a charcuterie over text and it was lovely and ready to go when I got to my room. Really loved the ease of the booking and overall service. Everyone was really great.

This may sound gimmicky, but believe me- this is THE spa to go to to relax, enjoy your significant others company, and have some good good beer. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could! I love going to spas, but I love going to experience, atmospheric spas. Getting a massage in a clinical-looking room with no music, no aromatherapy, etc. is not my ideal spa experience. THIS is. We made our appointment online beforehand and chose the "date-night experience." It was more expensive than the regular option, obviously, but when I did the math (this includes a $30 beer credit), it only ended up being a bit more, included some chocolates, rose petals, and a "congratulations" sign (we were in CO to get married and this was to celebrate getting out marriage license!). The staff was very helpful and kind. They let you try any of the beers you are interested in before you pour yourself a whole glass, they have free snacks while you are there, and there is a button in your room so if you ever need more beer, they can refill your glass for you! When you go in, they recommend that you go into the sauna for a certain amount of time, then hop in a cold shower, then get into the "beer spa" - basically a hot tub or hot bath with a "tea bag" of beer-related things (hops, barley, etc)., then hop in the shower one more time! The whole experience was an hour and a half I think, but we were there for around 2 hours including the time before and after in the welcome room. Another very cool thing that they have that we loved was conversation cards both in the waiting room, as well as in your spa room, to get you and your partner talking. They even had them laminated in the sauna and hung on the wall! Also the bath soap smelled SO GOOD that we bought one to take home. They send you home with a postcard and even spray that with their signature scent because it smells so good and they know it! The parking was easy- they have a little lot, but we just street parked on that street and it was super easy. This was a great, relaxing, intimate, and unforgettable spa experience that we will remember fondly as part of our wedding week!

This place is AMAZING! From start to finish we felt pampered and hosted by the friendliest staff. The decor is modern and cozy and the drink selection (and knowledge about the drinks) were great. This is such a cool and unique concept that we don't have at home so it was a really fun thing to do while visiting Denver. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for something fun to do for yourself or with a friend or partner. Was the perfect way to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, thank you for making our visit so special!

This was a MUCH needed experience. Came to Denver for a weekend reset and this ended my trip the right way. The staff were on top of everything helping us with each step of the process. The rooms were cleaned properly and set up for the max relation we needed. I get it's a beer spa but would like more wine options if they could just because I'm not a huge beer guy but still enjoyed the cider options they had! So happy for the experience.

Absolutely amazing. The beer therapy room was so great and relaxing. I got the nine alcoholic kombucha which was delicious and made the experience even better. Our appointment started right on time which was great. The recommended time to sit in the sauna shower and spa made for a perfect routine to sweat and soak. The private room was very nice and we enjoyed the sauna. I love the body wash. They have an area with blow dryers, and a few other items where you can fix your hair and makeup before leaving. The tub is uncomfortable and made for two small people. The water level was too low, to soak much of your upper body. I poured a half of a beer afterward thinking they would charge per ounce but ended up paying for a full 16 oz beer. I've been to other self pour taps where they charge by the ounce so I expected the same. Overall we enjoyed the experience but once was enough. read more

A friend and I came here on our vacation in Denver mostly to check out the novelty of a beer spa and this far exceeded both of our expectations. Before we even arrived, the customer service was excellent - Damien texted and emailed reminders and welcome messages, which were so enthusiastic it just made me more excited to arrive. We arrived early and were checked in quickly and given a rundown of the beer wall by the staff beer expert Nick. He was super friendly and knowledgeable, walking us through the choices. We got our drinks and hung out in the lounge for a bit before Molly took us back to the spa room. Again, she was very friendly and knowledgeable, happy to explain the process and answer any of the questions we had. My friend and I remarked several times about how great the decor was and how it really felt like a high-end spa. The beer tub was a great temp and we were super relaxed. This was one of the most unique experience I've ever booked. I wanted my boyfriend to have a great date night and this was perfect. After booking, the team was in constant communication with me about earlier times that were available. We got the perfect time on a Saturday night. Once we arrived, we checked in and Daniel walked us through the spa process. We had the date night package so it was decorated beautifully with rose petals and sparkling wine as well. What a magical and unique experience in Denver! We did the 1.5 hour beer bath with sauna and shower experience. They thought of EVERYTHING here: included snacks upon arrival, terry cloth robes in the room, smooth jazz music playing, conversation cards in the sauna, and an area where you can get ready for the rest of your day after the spa with a blow dryer and other products. 10/10 experience. Saw this last minute on Wednesday for my Thursday-Sunday Denver trip. It was booked but I checked every night and there was an opening. Did the sauna for 20 and then showered and hit the tub. Me and my girlfriend loved it. Only recommendations, I turned off the sauna lights and couldn't figure out how to change them back to the blue and not the disco lights so we left them off so maybe a more detailed instructions on the sauna controls perhaps? read more

First time visiting and it was incredible! We are celebrating our 1 year anniversary. Immediately when you walk in, it smells great! The customer service from everyone was beyond great. Everything from the check in process to the staff explaining the different areas was smooth. Once our time had started in our room, me and my wife felt so relaxed and wished we had more time. The Beer Spa was an excellent experience from start to finish! The staff were all friendly, available, and knowledgeable. The whole spa was beautifully appointed with comfortable seating and artful decor, as well as practical supplies for post spa like hair driers and lotion. The Tap Wall was fun - where do you get to pour your own draft beer and mix them if you want??!! I loved the actual spa room experience with the super clean dry sauna, tub and shower with yummy amenities. We topped off the evening with the futuristic, whole body massage chairs that enveloped us in full relaxation. The best part? This spa is so Colorado and so worth it. It is actually very reasonably priced as the price is for two people in total not just one. It's great for anniversary's & birthdays or just a good date night. You get to drink beer or non alcohol brewed drinks, you then get a private room, sit in the sauna for 20 minutes, then take a cold shower, then hop in the beer hot tub which is brewed like tea but with beer hops, then you take a shower with all their natural products and you just feel so refreshed! After all this they offer awesome unique massages chairs that feel so so good after your spa. read more

My partner booked us a date night at the beer spa. I didn't really know what to expect, but was excited to try something new. I love it! Service was lovely and the actual spa experience was fun and relaxing. I especially loved the infrared sauna and the beer bath! I am a nerd about the myriad benefits of plants so it was great to learn a bit more about mistletoe which was part of their holiday bath mix . It's not just for kissing y'all ;) The lounge area is great too and so are the drink selection. We will definitely be back for another date night! read more

Wow, The Beer Spa was magical and refreshing and delightful. The Zero G massage chair changed my life. The therapy room experience was luxurious and comfortable. And, with all this goodness the staff was the very best part. The customer service was next level brilliant. The staff worked as a unit. The entire experience was seamless and so relaxing. Our beer therapy room attendant, Nick was so welcoming and helpful. Everyone was kind and the vibe was so positive. And, there are plenty of gluten-free drink options. As an FYI, I have a fragrance allergy and I had no issues with the spa mixture so extra thumbs up from me. Thank y'all! 10/10 read more

I just went to The Beer Spa last night and had the most relaxing time and had the best sleep last night. Once you're checked in they give you tumblers and fill it will thier full collection of beer (also cider and wine) on the wall that you can fill yourself. Also they have lovely complimentary snacks (trail mix/banana chips)! We definitely got a second thing of snacks haha. Then the private room is so cute. I found out about this place before it opened from a Nextdoor post and signed up to be notified when they opened. I booked a spot as soon as scheduling opened! Everything about The Beer Spa is so well thought out and implemented. It made for a really special/unique date night. The beer tap area is so cute. The host explained everything thoroughly about how to serve ourselves and what to expect. Unpopular opinion, but Denver Beer Co is overrated so it's a bummer that's what was on tap while I was there. They did have a few wine options and cider too though. The spa rooms are amazing. You get an insulated mug for your drink so it stays cold. I LOVED the infrared sauna, but I also think myself a little like a lizard when it comes to dry heat. The spa itself has a little sachet filled with the hops blend and other good stuff to infuse the water. My only complaint is that they say you have 5 minutes to leave the room after the tub drains (which happens automatically as your cue to start getting ready to go so they can get the room ready for the next guests) but we weren't keeping track of time and 5 minutes isn't really enough to take a nice shower and get dressed without undoing all of the relaxing effects of the spa. read more

My experience was great! We flew all the way from Los Angeles specifically to visit the Beer spa in Denver. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and a warm/ welcoming attitude from the employees. We were helped right away and felt like we were in good hands. Everything was so clean and modern. The beer was wonderful! My boyfriend is German and especially enjoyed the Kolsch. I especially enjoyed that we had a private room and the Beer Spa products in the room (lotion, body wash, hair wash, conditioner) were amazing. The concept of this place is awesome in theory and executed incredibly in practice. All of the staff were friendly and truly seemed to be enjoying themselves at work, which is helpful when you're relaxing in a shared space. You can come, put on slippers and just hang out with access to craft beer, or you can engage in the spa offerings- I did the massage chair, which was bizarre and intriguing all at the same time. The layout was so cute, we were given the opportunity to try each of the beers before using our credit to pick our drinks we would bring in, and the staff went the extra mile at every step to ensure we didn't have to lift a finger and could just relax. Loved this experience! The place itself was beautifully decorated, clean, cozy, well maintained and very classy. Initially the night we wanted to go was completely booked. I signed up on the waitlist and was contacted as soon as a spot became available and was able to get in! The hot tub, infrared sauna and shower were so relaxing. There was a wide selection of beer and drinks, as well as free snacks. But the best part was the customer service. Each person spent a lot of time explaining each step of the experience, taught us about the beers they had, and were so friendly and helpful. Great new concept for a spa! I am so excited to bring my husband and have recommended this spot to my friend as a spa "date night" that her husband would also enjoy. Comfortable waiting/relaxation area and nice selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The snack selection is lovely and the privacy in the actual spa area is fantastic! The spa room was a luxury experience and every part of the space was very clean. I never felt cramped in any area. The massage chair was so wonderful, my friend wanted to take one home!! Top notch !! I almost ruined my date by scheduling my flight first and not the date then Realized THEY BOOK FAST !! I contacted the staff to inform them i was flying in from Atlanta only for this experience and they worked hard to get me scheduled and IT WAS WORTH IT . From the time i rung the doorbell to enter the facility the service and experience was amazing , the massage chairs are a MUST and the room for our beer bath was simply beautiful with roses and candles . My wife and I finally went last week and it was great. As you enter the spa/bar, the interiors are well done and comfortable as you relax and have a drink before your escorted to spa room. The beer/cider/wine selection was great, and if you don't like it, it changes monthly. We thought 90 minutes was a long time, but it went by too fast as we detoxed, relaxed and sipped our cold beverages. All the employees were very accommodating and friendly. We visited within the first week of The Beer Spa opening and it was an amazing experience. The tap room was a great kick start and then when we got into the beer therapy room, Damien showed us all around and what to do. From the sauna to the beer bath to the shower, it was all perfect! Afterwards we enjoyed a couple more beers and then spend 15 minutes in the Zero Gravity massage chairs! What a way to end the evening. This place is amazing!! This was my husband and my second time to the Beer Spa. It's such an incredible concept and the staff is amazing. They are all so friendly, inviting an helpful. Such a fun idea for a date! It's a relaxing environment and fun to get to try several beers at the same time. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They change breweries every month so it's a different experience each time you go. I've only been a couple times but I am looking forward to returning! The bowl of iced down eucalyptus towels outside the door was a nice touch and felt delightful. I had three services: a full body scrub and 50-minute deep tissue massage with Melissa, followed by a 50-minute facial with Lauren. All were excellent. The treatment rooms were also nice, relaxing environments. Spa staff made every effort to ensure I had a great experience and felt like a queen. They were kind, professional, and generous. If I have one minor complaint, which can't be held against the spa, it's that some people (like me and my husband, who both know very little about spas) would benefit from guidance on a good schedule of services when booking. During my massage, I learned the best approach would be to enjoy the steam room and whirlpool after, then fully shower before my facial. And I had no safety worries as all staff was wearing masks the entire time. Plus with the high temp I'd think all virus would be diminished. We started sweating buckets around 10 minutes in. It is beyond the most extreme cardio sesh you can think of. My friend said at the end that I was glowing, so I guess the detoxing worked! One advice would be to bring layers to change into in case you get so hot out of the session but it's cold outside of the studio. CYL has a lot of cute merchandise too and various packages and memberships, come check it out!
