I was doing some research on things to do in Denver as it would be my first time visiting. I wanted to do something unique that I wouldn't find elsewhere and stumbled across this really unique spa for a date. The Beer Spa. Say whaaat? It's located on the corner of E 30th Ave and N Downing St. There's only street parking right next to the location. My boyfriend and I were able to find a spot right next to it as we had an morning reservation. But when we left, the street was almost filled. I made a reservation day and time on their website which was very straightforward! They offer a spa package for 90 mins and/or the zero gravity massage chair. I wanted to check out the spa as this was unique compared to the massage chair. There were three options to choose from for the spa: standard ($159), date night with candles, roses, chocolate, and complimentary banner ($219), and garage party with a group of friends ($399). We chose the standard and also added in a charcuterie board ($15) to the package. We were given a hydroflask with their logo to fill with around 10 taps but with 20 options of either beer, kombucha, or wine. My boyfriend chose a beer to drink while I chose water as I was the driver and didn't want to get too drunk LOL. We were sent to a private room with an infrared sauna (20 min), beer bath filled with hops, barley, and medicinal herbs (70 min), and a shower to wash off. They provided shower robes, slippers, shower cap, and Qtips. There were also additional items we could purchase during our 90 min stay. The charcuterie board was actually smaller than I expected BUT the selection of cheese and cured meats was delicious. Especially while sitting in the barrel bath. Definitely a wonderful place to check out especially with your significant other! Very unique and relaxing. My boyfriend and I definitely felt super relaxed after the spa and took it easy for the rest of the day! P.S. The service here is top-notch! Staff is very friendly and when they forgot to give back my boyfriend's ID used to hold during our reservation, they offered a complimentary massage for the trouble. How nice of them! Perhaps I'm overreacting, but my wife's and my first experience at Oakwell was absolutely fantastic! Each staff member was wholly courteous and helpful, especially the gentleman who brought out my wife's wedding ring which was inadvertently left in our spa room after we exited. Breckenridge was the featured brewer, and their beers are just lovely. They also had some other selections, which we tried and enjoyed. We received a few refills while we were in our spa room and we felt well taken care of. The charcuterie left a little to be desired, but that was more of a personal preference. The chocolates we received were divine. We opted for some add-ins to our spa treatment. I can't remember what they were (I think one had Juniper berries in it) and not only did is leave our skin cleaner and healthier, but it cleared up this sinus issue I had been dealing with for a few days. I'm not a cruise or a spa guy, but I l-o-v-e-d this place. We WILL be coming back. Oakwell revives the body and soul. read more

I mean, of course this was a wonderful experience. This makes a wonderful date/ anniversary night, or would be so much fun with close friend. What an amazing gift this would be too!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiles, got to try some beers( they have wine, cider, and n/a bevs), and started relaxing. The staff helped us take a few fun pictures over their decorative tub, and then lead us back to our room! The water was the perfect temperature, the tumblers kept the beer ice cold, and we had so much fun. While this does run on the pricey end I think this was a really good experience that we have such fond memories of. And we left ready to fall asleep, despite it being 6 pm! Before you leave- try the candles. I am not normally one to buy candles but their beer spa scent is SO amazing. We had to get it. With the room, beers, candle, and tip we left spending around $270- and have talked about how lovely it was for the past few days! The experience was wonderful at first. The aesthetic was so modern and it felt fun and elevated. We bought a Father's Day package which included a little of everything. The beer selection was varied so there was something for everyone. My husband and I really enjoyed both the cbd face mask and the beard oil. The massage chair experience was relaxing. My only hold up was the mandatory 20% tip. I have no problem tipping for service but all we had was someone check us in, walk us to our room, and then check us out. The percentage was calculated on our whole bill, not just food and beverage. My feeling is if they are going to do a mandatory tip on the whole bill they need to roll that into the price so you expect that cost. Or don't do self service drinks and then require tip on the beverage tab. This was off putting to me. I will happily tip when I receive service but this felt like deceitful pricing. read more

You're not actually soaking in beer here but the ingredients used in making beer which is supposed to be rejuvenating and good for the skin. My partner and I went here for the first time and were not disappointed. If you arrive early you can take advantage of the beer wall which is approximately ten different taps of different beers. They also have cider and wine if beer isn't your thing. For 90 minutes we had a private room to ourselves that included a small sauna, shower and a barrel bath. Those 90 minutes will go very fast. You can also use a room service to ask for more drinks. You can also sign up to use the zero gravity massage chairs afterwards. We were both incredibly relaxed after everything. Would definitely consider coming back again. I wouldn't recommend a walk in as they're booked out a lot of the time. read more

We were SO excited to get an appointment at the Beer Spa while we were in Denver. We booked the date night package which included a $30 beverage credit, a box of chocolates, rose petals and candles and what a deal it was! Everything was absolutely amazing. Everyone working there was incredibly kind and helpful. We had to arrive 30 minutes early for the walk through and to start the relaxation. Once in our designated room, we were instructed to get into the sauna for 20 minutes, then a cold shower, then the hydrotherapy tub. After the 90 min spa experience, we took advantage of the 15 minute zero gravity massage chair add-on. Again. Absolutely an amazing experience and we'll worth the money! The idea of soaking in beer shouldn't be your main idea of Oakwell though. I would call this a nice spa that happens to have beer taps. None of the actual spa treatments REALLY involve beer. Sure, the water you soak in has hops and barley but if I wasn't told that, I would think that I'm soaking in some fancy spa water. Having said that, the experience was still very nice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and courteous. The spa services (sauna, shower in spa rom, hops soak, massage chairs) were all very good and relaxing and very clean/well presented. Take this with a grain of salt, I'm not generally a big spa person but I enjoyed the amenities. The beers they had available were all local and there was variety for everyone. One of the workers overheard me say that I was horrible at pouring beer and that everything I pulled was all foam. FROM the add ons to the spa minibar, with such items as facial mask and bath bomb ... they have really thought of every detail to make this the perfect spa day. Absolutely would recommend if you're looking for a unique spa experience. You start in the tap room, getting drinks and setting in. Then the rooms themselves are awesome. I have been doing saunas alternating with cold showers for a few months now, and this is a great set up for that! The hops in the bath tub also smell great. This is an incredible couples experience, or for a group you can open up the barn doors.
