Robert always made himself available to view houses, most times at the spur of the moment. 6 months and 30+ houses later, I finally found my home. It sounds like they will do their best to ensure this situation does not occur with future tenants. -- PREVIOUS REVIEW: DO NOT RENT PROPERTIES MANAGED BY THIS PREDATORY COMPANY. We have been renting for 15 years and never experienced such predatory practices. We were model tenants and left the apartment cleaner than any other apartment we've ever lived in. We did everything on their MULTIPLE cleaning checklists including WASHING THE FREAKING LIGHTBULBS. They still found every possible way to nickel and dime us out out of half of our security deposit, including charging us $55/hour to clean things we already cleaned or to clean things that weren't on their checklists, routine wear and tear (paint touch ups) and the gas for their maintenance guy. Also, we were told during our lease that we could not hire our own carpet cleaners and the cost of carpet cleaning would be deducted from our security deposit. After our lease ended, they sent a message indicating they assumed we'd had the carpets cleaned already. We were honest that they hadn't been cleaned because they said they had to do it. Now I wish we had done it ourselves. Getting them cleaned ourselves would have saved us quite a bit as they charged us $212 for a 900 sf apartment. Our main contact was not very professional throughout the duration of the lease. He emailed and texted us messages meant for other people on multiple occasions. Our last month in the apartment he never contacted us once on what the move-out procedure was or offered to do a final walk-through. Not knowing what else to do, we left the keys in the apartment on the last day and texted him that we'd moved out. He didn't contact us until the day after our lease ended. Now I know why! It was so he could find hundreds of dollars worth of issues with the apartment to deduct from our security deposit after it was too late for us to do anything about it. It's clear now they intended to hire their expensive professional cleaners on our dime regardless of how well we cleaned. I've never not received my full security deposit back after 15 years of renting. Do not rent from New Age Realty unless they're fine with them spending your security deposit on expensive professional cleaners. They do not treat good tenants with respect and I'm glad to be done with them.

We had contacted her about viewing a rental property that she was the broker for over a weekend. We were told to meet on a specific day but then when we arrived, she wasn't there and didn't answer our phone calls. 30 min later she called and said she had given us the wrong day and had meant the next day. This was very inconvenient for us as we had some time sensitive decisions to make, however made it work to meet her the next day as we were interested in the property. Then the following day 20 min prior to our appointment time Laura messaged my boyfriend to tell him she had "computer work to do" and that her assistant would meet us. Her assistant arrived on time but did not know very much about the building. He didn't even know where the unit was on the floor and could not answer any of the questions that we had about the unit at all. We even opened a boiler room door as he thought it was the access point to the rooftop deck that didn't exist. Following this I left Laura a frustrated voicemail indicating I felt it wasn't very professional of her to waste our time and that it felt as though she didn't value us as potential tenants for her client. I did state that I planned on writing a review reflecting our experience with her. Laura did follow up after our tour to apologize and state how busy she was. The fact that she was busy is not the issue, it's the fact that she led us to believe that we were going to have a complete and thorough tour of this property for rent - and we were let down twice. Both times we left with zero new information about the unit. If you're too busy to show a property, just be honest about it and tell us your too busy and don't waste our time - that was the issue for us. But we did get a chance to ask her some follow-up questions and she stated she would get back to us the next day with answers. Laura then followed up the next day, and was very pleasant on the phone, again apologizing for the mix-up and not respecting our time. But then, she stated that she did tell the owner about the voicemail that I left, including the "threats" I made and that the owner was worried that I might be "too difficult of a tenant" and would need reassurance that I wouldn't be. This was pretty wild to hear over the phone - not only did she fail to perform the job that she was hired to do by the owner of the unit, but then she proceeded to imply to the owner that this was not an issue of poor customer service on her part but rather my "difficult" demeanor. My handling of this was not in any way an indication of our ability to be good tenants (we both have spotless records and great references). Then to insinuate to the owner of the unit that there was a threat made is not only a complete lie, but it's an irresponsible use of the term (she's referring to when I informed her that I would be leaving a yelp review detailing our experience - which is not even remotely close to a threat). She clearly felt guilty for her poor performance, and wanted to cover herself in front of her client so that she didn't look bad. The place was beautiful and I believe if we were treated with more respect we might have considered living there. I do admit that I was short with Laura on my voicemail but did genuinely feel as though we were disrespected and treated as if our time was not nearly as important as hers. Hopefully this was an isolated experience for Laura. After looking for apartments for several weeks and dealing with many great professionals, this was quite the standout performance and I feel as though this is important information to share.
