We stayed at this Marriott completely on a whim--literally booked the hotel 30 minutes before…read morewalking in--and I'm so glad we did! Everything about this hotel exceeded expectations. It's a newer property, and you can tell. From the check-in lobby to the bar area, to the rooms and the sleek bathrooms with glass showers--everything was clean, modern, and thoughtfully done. We checked in around 7 p.m., and the front desk associate was wonderful. She let us know there was a lacrosse tournament going on and made sure to put us in a quieter area of the hotel. We didn't hear a thing--she really looked out for us! The room itself was great. The bed was super comfortable, and honestly, that was one of the nicest flat-screen TVs I've ever seen in a hotel. I'd come back just to binge-watch a movie weekend-style! The toiletries provided (soap, shampoo, conditioner) were also high-quality--not the typical watered-down hotel basics. As a kind gesture, the front desk associate even offered us a drink credit at the bar because she knew the hotel might be busier than usual with kids. In our experience, though, it was peaceful and relaxing. We were only there for one night, so we didn't get a chance to check out the pool or fitness center, but based on everything else, I'm sure they're just as great. The hotel is located in an area surrounded by shops and restaurants in both directions--perfect for a quick bite or some casual shopping. It's a little pricey here but so worth it!

From check-in to check-out, the staff were so lovely during the process. It was blissfully quiet on our floor, something I appreciate more and more as I travel. The lobby area has a bar and there's also a section for purchasing snacks, something every hotel should have. The staff were also very helpful with making sure all of the wedding guests were aware of the shuttle operations to and from the vanue. Overall, 5/5 for our great stay.

Large, spacious elevators that move quickly. My room was very large, spacious, & well thought out. The layout allowed for lots of movement while still segmenting certain areas without making the room feel restrictive. Amazingly quiet stay. The rooms appear to be laid out in such a way that there is little to no residual noise from neighboring rooms. I would stay here again for that alone. The room was pristine. I always clean & sanitize my hotel rooms after check-in, but this was by far one of the easiest I've ever done. I love how the towels & bath mats are folded decoratively in the bathroom. They're also plush, wonderfully thick, & the perfect balance between coarse & soft. Despite not having a handheld shower nozzle, the water pressure was surprisingly good. There are lots of plugs & outlets in the room, especially on the desk. You should have no problem charging all of your devices. There was no remote control in my room, but a quick call to the front desk solved that. It wasn't even 5 minutes between my request & the remote being delivered. I always pull back the mattress & mattress covers to inspect the mattress itself, & everything was crisp & clean. I appreciated that the window had a partial view of the parking lot but faced the side of the building. It was angled perfectly to provide plenty of light, maintain situational awareness, & still offer privacy. Great breakfast options, especially for those who are pork-free or trying to eat a little healthier. There were bananas, apples, oranges, oatmeal with toppings like flaked coconut, flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, banana chips, dried cranberries, & even chocolate chips. The hot bar offered turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, & a spinach frittata. They also had blueberry mini scones, apple cinnamon muffins, blueberry muffins, iced coffee, oat milk, & French vanilla and hazelnut creamers. I fully expected to go elsewhere for breakfast, but they provided everything I needed for a delicious, filling, nutritious, high-protein meal. Cons: I thought the line of questioning during check-in was a bit intrusive. Marshall at the front desk asked why I was in town, & when I said I was there on business, he asked who I was doing business with. It didn't feel like casual conversation. It felt more like an interrogation. He also spent a lot of time questioning my address because the address on my driver's license didn't match what was in the system. For a 1-night stay, that seemed excessive. I've checked into numerous Marriott properties across the country this year alone & have never experienced this level of scrutiny. I understand the need to verify information, but the tone didn't feel like routine validation. After driving 3 hours at the end of a long workday on very little sleep, being interrogated was the last thing I was in the mood for. If anything needed to be confirmed, verifying my email address to ensure my folio was sent correctly should have sufficed. I'm not sure why the folded bath mat was stored in the soap dish inside the shower because that means you have to step into the shower to get it. Since the whole point is to put it down before showering so you don't slip when you get out, the placement seemed counterintuitive. This location also has that weird shower with no door, just a piece of glass covering about half the length of the shower. I angled the nozzle closer to the floor instead of directly at myself, which kept water from getting all over the floor this time. There is also no handheld shower wand, which makes rinsing off more difficult. Some of the light switches are hard to find. It took me several minutes to figure out how to turn on the bedside lights. The thermostat takes a very long time to respond. At first, I wasn't sure if it was broken. Despite multiple adjustments, I didn't hear the unit kick on or change speed for at least 15 minutes. The sink water tastes awful. If you've ever tasted well water, it's very similar. The hotel should consider additional filtration. I ended up getting filtered water from the gym just to brush my teeth, & it was only slightly better. The shower is also a little confusing to operate. The handle was turned so tightly in one direction that I genuinely thought I might break it before it finally moved & turned the water on. More USB outlets by the bed would have been helpful. There are plenty of standard outlets nearby, but nothing directly bedside. I forgot my charging block & only had a USB cord, so I had to use the USB ports at the desk & on the desk lamp instead. The in-room iron is dangerous to use. It constantly drips hot water as soon as it's picked up, & the labels on the dial are so worn that it's almost impossible to tell what setting you're using.

The room and the amenities are great and if it weren't for the kitchen (so that I can cook), I would leave in a heartbeat. Not really sure how folks opt to work in hospitality industries but have the faintest idea what it means. I will certainly let Marriott Bonvoy know how horrible these people are and they should be removed from the app. No Platinum or Titanium members should lodge here. The breakfast was decent. I liked that there's flaxseed, pumpkin seed, coconut flakes and other toppings available for oatmeal or cereal. The coffee matches the attitudes of the front desk employees...sucks! Overall, I wouldn't recommend or lodge here ever again!

We were greeted with homemade chocolate chip cookies and water carafes in our suite. The great room was very cozy and had complimentary tee, coffee, hot chocolate, and red wine. We stayed in a two room suite which had a modern bathroom with homemade soaps and fluffy towels. Everything was exceptionally clean and the sheets were very soft. However, we were in the front section of the original home and the road noise was pretty loud all night long and the feather mattresses weren't particularly comfortable. In the morning Lydia made us the most delicious breakfast. We had homemade yogurt, fresh fruit, homemade granola, toast, steel cut oats with honey butter, yummy homemade jams, delicious coffee, and a variety of fresh juices. Our meal was topped off with the richest Java truffle. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will be back again soon!
