Believe me, I checked dozens of locations. Location is excellent in downtown with ease to walk anywhere quickly and easily. Front door-man on evenings does help with a feeling of safety. Cons: Staff was different every time I booked a stay or was living there. So no one really went overboard to help with anything as they knew they would be leaving soon. Our thermostat would not work EVER. I left one weekend in August for business and when I came back the AC was on 95 and blowing heat continuously. They came in multiple times both years to fix but I had to manually fix thermostat multiple times a day. No secure parking. Our car was broken into twice in the lot across the street that they rent to residents. Both times I asked for video footage and they said the cameras do not really work and they would not offer any compensation for the large sums of money I had to pay out for insurance to fix my windows, car doors and new seats and carpet. Will definitely consider going back as location and amenities were the best in downtown.

The only damage was from when their toilet cracked and spilled water all over the closet. This is a sneaky practice that appears to be a way of using tenant funds to pay for updates they would have needed to make anyways. I am saddened to have to leave this bad review.

The people who worked there are very nice people... The maintenance guy is one of the nicest people I have met in the state of Ohio who works there He's also probably underpaid and underappreciated They basically use him to do everything in the building and yes, he is a black man love all people just being honest how the maintenance man was being treated by the corporate office was very upsetting to me

The master bedrooms are in the center and don't share a wall with neighbors. This helps keep it quiet. - The office staff is wonderful! Sherrie and Lisa are so kind and they always go the extra mile. They try to make the best experiences for residents hosting events, taking care of issues and constantly working to improve the building. If you have any issue, they take it seriously and do their best to handle it quickly. They take the time to get to know the residents and they really care about your experience here. - The maintenance team. Chris and Al are the best! Unlike other places I've lived, they really respect that your apartment is your home. They get to jobs quickly and always ask if there is anything else they can help with. Even if it's just a flickering lightbulb they get to it right away. - You can easily walk to all the best places on Detroit. We have underground parking - that is included in rent - so you don't have to worry about street parking.

Brunswick is in the top 80% safest Ohio cities. Our building comes with a primary front lock, and our apartment has a lock as well. Double security to sleep even better at night. We see school busses dropping off children all the time, and everyone in the community strongly adheres to school speed limits and other subtle but noticeable details compared to other cities i've lived in. 2. The price. Seriously, i thought it was too good to be true. If you made it this far, chances are you might be looking for a verification of authenticity, so here it is. 3. Linda (the primary person you'll be working with during the application process) is fantastic. She responds quick, promptly takes care of any concerns and is overall just a very good person. Left us a gift basket and everything with some genuine thought behind the small gifts. 4. The apartment is the epitome of simplicity. It's small but not too small, very cozy, and above all everything met and exceeded my standards down to the high pressure shower head with numerous settings and blinds that automatically pull down or up without an annoying string. 5. Woodgate Village is located on a side street off a main street, so everything we need is minutes away. Food, gas, you name it. If you're someone who's looking for a peaceful, secure and quiet place to stay, look no further. Update: been living here over four years now and still have no complaints. Got very lucky finding this place during the inflation bubble of apartments and greedy landlords. For one thing, the property manager (Linda) and the maintenance supervisor (Ed) are a great team who run this complex extremely well. For example, whenever I have had an occasional maintenance issue, the matter has been resolved promptly and professionally. Ed is obviously a skilled & knowledgeable maintenance technician, and is easy to talk with. Likewise, whenever I have had a question about something, I just send an e-mail to Linda, and have typically received a courteous, informative reply later the same day or next morning. It is obvious that Linda and Ed care about managing this property well, and want to keep their tenants happy. Besides that, I like the location. Basically, everything I need is within 2 miles, including grocery stores, restaurants, the gym I belong to, gas stations, car wash, library, post office, the high school which my son attends, etc. Everything is nearby. Also, I have been fortunate to have good neighbors here. Over the years, I have seen a few people come & go, and most everyone has been nice. I've gained some new friends since living here, plus it's very quiet around here, which I love. Woodgate Village is not the kind of place where a bunch of loud, partying kids rent. In fact, those type of tenants would not last very long here. The typical tenants here are either divorced/single adults or young couples starting out in their first place together. And, it's a very quiet place, even on the weekends... no loud music or people yelling at each other, and it's very rare that you see police being called here, etc. This has been a calm, friendly environment to call home. The garage has some rather narrow driving and spots too. Reminds me of the parking garages in Germany. The apartment complex here is in a decent location and the layout is much more spacious than a hotel for sure. The rental unit was on the 5th floor. The building is quite big and expansive. Takes about 5-7 minute walk from the garage to the residences and stairs and elevators are on the opposite ends of the garage and the entrance to the apartment. Entry in and out of the garage and into the building complex from the garage requires a white key card. There are lock boxes at the main ramp by the exit or by the rail to the locked doors to the apartment building. The rental unit had two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer, kitchen and lot area. The floors had big scratches and gouges out of it and the beds were foam and not super comfortable. The pillows were so flat and lacked any support for your head at all. The bathroom light bulb was out and made it fun for showering. There was no coffee maker at all. Odd there were men's pads and surface pads or mats in the bathroom, how random. The towels were thin and hardly soaked up much of anything at all.

The pool on site is beautiful, and although it should be a safe place to bring your family, it is not. There is zero dress code or concern that there have been several complaints made about someone dressing completely inappropriately. It is actually so bad that when we see a specific resident at the pool, due to how revealing her attire and behavior is, we leave because I don't know my children to be around that. I spoke with Bob, the owner of Forest Meadows about this, and although he assured me he would personally take care of the situation, he has not. It's disappointing that the person in charge doesn't care to protect the safety of his complex and clearly has zero intention to stop people dressing and acting as such.

You get texted notification on packages that arrive in the office which is great too! Rent is easy to pay online. I almost never hear noise from other apartments unless I'm in the hallway which is huge for me with a baby. Thomas is a hardworking extremely friendly and understanding rental property manager. He has taken time twice to sit down and talk with us about moving since we bought a house. He did everything and then some to help us. This is a great place to live I can't say nicer things about here. They also allow animals which we don't have, but I'm glad we had the option if we wanted. For smokers there are cover pavilions with trash cans and benches which is nice. Everyone that lives here is friendly.
