Our wedding coordinator recommended Oanafoto and we could not be happier with our decision! Not only was Oana absolutely a pleasure to work with, the final product of our photos came out BEAUTIFULLY. We had about 100 guests and when I asked if she needed a second photographer I was shocked she said she could handle it on her own as she's done weddings with an even larger guest count. Although this made me a tad nervous, I trusted her completely. She was a pro and made our job so much easier without having to worry about the hassle of getting our large family in photos. Seriously, my husband has 10 siblings alone and I have 4... so you can just imagine the task just getting our siblings in one shot! But she helped us coordinate our family and friends list prior to the wedding so it would be as convenient the day of. Even when we unintentionally deviated from our list and added more individuals to our group photos, she handled it with such grace but was firm to stick to timelines, which we so appreciated! Can I also mention she got our photos within a WEEK of our wedding! While it typically takes 6-8 weeks, she wanted to make sure we had it in hand as soon as possible. Oana is the best photographer I've met. She captured both my engagement and wedding pictures. When my husband and I first booked OanaFoto we didn't know what to expect, but she blew my mind away! This woman is beyond talented and has direction like Scorsese. I happened upon her by winning a free engagement session she gave away at a bridal show. Upon trying to schedule our "additional" engagement session, as we already contracted our photographer for the wedding when I won this, I mentioned I wanted to do a boudoir session in the future and she graciously swapped the engagement session for the boudoir. She had lots of ideas and helped in my planning. She arrived ahead of time and was prepared when I arrived (we booked Hotel Irvine for the shoot, which I highly recommend). I was 100% comfortable. We spent a good 2 hours together shooting several outfits and placements. She listened to my concerns and placed me in flattering poses. My pictures turned out tremendously. I'm so I awe of the results. I give her most of the credit bc an inexperienced photographer wouldn't have had the pictures she got. I highly recommend Oana as she is talented, friendly, fair, and a warm person. I can't wait to give these photos to my fiancé in a lovely album and get his reaction. Oana was AMAZING and could not have asked for a better photographer! She was caring, creative and attentive leading up to the wedding and provided great service and quality work beyond expected. Oana was absolutely Wonderful. I had her for my engagement photos and she was extremely helpful. When I told her my idea to propose off of Laguna Beach (which was pretty general), she had a very specific location that she had used before. She knew exactly what time I had to propose for the sunset to create the perfect shot. Once we were at the location waiting to surprise my then-girlfriend, she was readily available for advice. She told me where the best areas were for the photos and what the pros and cons of each area were, yet allowed me to do what I wanted. She helped set up the candle heart I put on the beach and worked with a friend on where the best video would be to record it all. She also had a lot of variety for ideas once I had proposed. We were referred to Oana Foto from some friends of ours who's wedding photos we LOVED! After meeting with her in person, we knew she would be a great fit for us as well. She shot our engagement photos and they came out amazing! I highly recommend doing your engagement shoot with your wedding photographer as they get a chance to know you, your style, what you like, etc., before the big day. Oana also was open for communication leading up to our wedding day. We sent her ideas of photos we liked and we met at the venue the week of the wedding to discuss photo locations and details. She was amazing to work with and her passion for photography really shows. She and her assistant showed up early, went above and beyond, and were professional and poised. Obviously we were anxious to see photos immediately after the wedding. She sent us a quick photo within a day or two to post and then within a week or two, we had a few preview images sent our way as well. This was a nice (and appreciated surprise) as everyone was anxious to see photos and now we had some great ones to share. It wasn't much longer until we received ALL of our photos, on our one month anniversary to be exact. Oana first sent them in an online gallery and a day or two later we received them all in a lovely package with a special flash drive. Oana took our wedding pictures in Idaho on January 7, 2017. The weather was the craziest because it was snowing and windy but even though we were freezing, we actually enjoyed working with her. Oana is a gem amongst a pool of photographers. She is an extremely talented photographer who is also dedicated to the work she does and it's probably due to the fact that she enjoys what she does. If we could have a dedicated family photographer, we would choose Oana. She photographed our engagement photoshoot and our wedding and we would love to have her do our Christmas card photos, expecting photoshoot, baby's 1st birthday, etc. Whereas posing for a camera might come naturally for many, being photogenic, in my opinion, is not one of my strong fortes. What I appreciated in Oana is that she took into consideration my fears and worked through them. She made us feel completely comfortable, which in the end lead to authentic and natural photos. Oana not only listened to our ideas and fears, but she also knew to arrange us in such a way that the final shoot looked flawless. Other photographers will just take the picture to take the picture and get through the hour you're paying them. Oana was candid and honest--to which we thank her and value her even more for. She reminded me to point my toes to the ground so that my feet were not awkward. She arranged our hand and arm so that we don't look like limp puppets. She pays attention to the detail. She will take the time to move that hair strand so that when you get your prints, you won't regret that you had a two-inch strand across your face. With her, you can tell that it's not just a job, but a passion. She will go that extra mile. She will put 110%. During her planning sessions with us, she foreshadowed certain hurdles we might face, which helped us plan even better for the unexpected. For our wedding, she recommended that I make a list of what order to take the family pictures and actually let everyone know in advance what order they were to take pictures with us. While it did not go 100% to that list, it still helped us control the flow of guests and family members wanting to take pictures and it helped us get to the reception on time. Oana was quite professional in her conduct. She always arrived promptly, She delivered on everything she said she would do. I like that she explained her expectations and was sincere and genuine. Dealing with her, did not feel like just transacting another business and working with another vendor. We wanted a photographer that listened to our needs, envisioned our dream, and could create magic--Oana succeeded in all those aspects. She heard us out and did not impose her agenda on us.
