First off, so happy we could make a reservation for our party of 5. We were greeted by the happiest hostess ever who personally thanked us for choosing Oasis today! It was a tough choice with so many menu items that sounded amazing. Our server was friendly and our meal came out quickly and perfectly. My family got the Pancake Breakfast Sandwich (triple decker HUGE portion), Nutella & Bacon French Toast, Breakfast Burger and Corned Beef Hash ... but I have to say that mine was by far the prettiest! I got the Waffle Benny with Avacado shown below and it was phenomenal! Looking forward to going back again! Tried this diner again this past weekend and have to say it was a miss. Went for lunch but we did go at an off time around 2. All four in attendance said food was just ok. Service was a miss, waiter forgot just about everything we asked for and had to come back 5 or 6 times. Has been redecorated so looked nice but the food and service missed. read more

First off, let me preface that with the 3 stars I've only been one time so cannot comment on if my opinion would change if I went back multiple times and tried multiple dishes. Met a friend here for dinner. Easy to find and plenty of parking. I love the inside. It is so soothing and pretty and modern. Not a traditional old diner appearance by any means. I also really like that menu wasn't super huge. It seems that it was designed in the perfect way to have a few different types of meals, and I love that I was not overwhelmed by choices. I started with the French onion soup. My girlfriend got a chicken soup. We both agreed they were super salty. Besides the salt, she really enjoyed her soup. Mine and the other hand felt underdone. The cheese was hard and not melted. For our mains, we both opted for the salmon with the cauliflower purée. We both agree that the sides were delicious, but the salmon was so overcooked. As that was supposed to be the star of the meal I was disappointed. Also we didn't really get attended to in terms of our drinks. We got water one time and had to ask when we needed a refill. I can understand if the restaurant was busy, but they were only about three tables at that time. Would I go back if in the area? 100%. Came here with my wife to have some breakfast and it was a series of unfortunate events. They did not have the V-8 juice that was on their limited menu and they did not have half of the smoothies either. The wait was about 5 minutes before we got our server over. they did not have what I wanted so I went with a Mexican omelette, which wasn't Mexican at all. It had some jalapeños, but that was it. My wife got the avocado toast and asked for it well done but it came out raw. The menus were on thick stock paper on a clipboard, which is cute but comes off cheap. Overall, I was very disappointed in our breakfast and the way the checkout is they tear their tips at 22, 20 and 18. The service wasn't bad so I didn't spite the waiter, but was not happy. read more

This was my first time coming to this diner. This was hubby's third time. He is obsessed with their eggs Benedict with salmon. What makes it unique is that it's served on top of half a waffle instead of the usual English muffin. He's also obsessed with their hot toffee nut white chocolate (forgot to take a pic). I tried the iced Ube latte per the waiter's recommendation and it was the perfect mix of strong and sweet (make sure to mix it). I ordered the French toast deluxe with over easy eggs. I loved that it came with bacon, Taylor ham, and sausage. The French toast wasn't as flavorful as I'd like but the syrup was good and I liked that it came in a cute little jar. My son enjoyed his grilled cheese. They only had a kid's chicken tenders meal which isn't really enough for a teenager but that's all she wanted from the menu. She wasn't too fond of it or the fries. The service was great. We were greeted upon arrival and sat right away. Our waiter was super nice and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. I would definitely return to try something else on their menu. They don't have a huge variety but def worth checking out again just based on the latte and service. read more

We love the coffee at this diner but we're extremely disappointed with the service today. We both ordered omelettes with cheese. They came without. We ordered an iced matcha and iced coffee which was forgotten about. When we asked for them, we were given two hot coffees, which I sent back and explained what we actually ordered. Then we get two iced lattes, which was also not what we ordered. I went to another waitress and explained our drink order, who was able to get it for us. We weren't even given a bill, so I don't even know if we were charged correctly. A credit card machine was brought over where the server watched over as we entered a tip. We left very disappointed and unfortunately don't think we'll be going back. It's a shame because the food and coffee are very good. read more

The food is wonderful, not your typical diner food! Everything is cooked to your liking, whether you want it rare or medium. However, the food isn't the only thing that makes this place truly worth giving a try. The staff there are EXCELLENT! From making sure your coffee is always filled to making you feel loved and special. Our favorite is Ronia! She always has a cheery smile, very attentive to detail and extremely hard working! Extremely helpful and kind, we keep coming back because of the professional impression she gave us on our first visit. Food is consistently good. Service is always punctual and their coffee bar / ambiance is not like any other diner around. Reading a lot of these negative reviews confuses me. Oasis is a much more upscale, limited menu diner. It's not the "offer everything to everyone" style diner that I see in a lot of NJ. (Looking at reviewers who may go to Wayne, pompton, Oakland etc.) Those diners are good, but the food and ingredients are middle quality at best. For those of us local to oasis, I'll keep the bad reviews in order to walk in and get a table for some fairly healthy breakfast food. read more

I work at a school nearby so I called in an order to be ready at the start of my lunch break. I was told by the guy who took my order that they could take the order in advance and have it ready in time. When I got to the restaurant, I was told the food would be right out. I was kept waiting for another 10 minutes, which was unacceptable because it gave me no time to eat the food with a short lunch break. I'm extremely disappointed because I don't have a long time for lunch as is and I just wasted my lunch break today waiting for food that I didn't get. I was told it was my fault for not calling closer to the time my food should be ready, to which I said, I should've been told that when I was ordering because I would've just ordered somewhere else. I would recommend G&A hot bagels and deli in Butler if you're looking for a good service and somewhere that will have your breakfast ready waiting for you when you call it in. This is newly renovated and a new owner. Used to be a more classic/traditional diner called Galaxy. Honestly, walking into here felt like walking into a NYC cafe! But as much as this is called a diner, it's not really. Definitely more cafe/restaurant vibes! The food is great but I think folks expecting a more traditional diner would be disappointed with selections and pricing. I've been twice now, once for lunch and once for breakfast/brunch. My one missing star is for this: service is wildly slow. It was empty when I came for lunch and I still waited for my food. It was packed when we came for breakfast & we waited and others waited and folks who ordered after us got their food before us. The young guys working here are super friendly and personable, but I think they're a little green and getting the hang of serving. It took forever for someone to come around with coffee refills, my latte sat on the counter for several minutes before being brought to me. It really seemed like the servers were spending a lot of time "down" vs proactive (refilling coffee, checking on tables, etc). Food came out warm because it felt like it sat instead of coming out immediately when ready. It feels like growing pains! The coffee here is worth stopping by even if you're not eating. This diner has tremendous potential . It used to be the old Galaxy Diner. Apparently the diner is now owned by the family who owns The Verona Diner. At least , that is what I was told . The diner is not completely opened with a full staff and menu . It has a very limited menu with no dessert until some time in September . The inside is completely remodeled , except for the ceiling tiles and walls . The only issue is the outside and parking has not been changed at all. Actually , quite dumpy looking still on the outside and very messy , including weeds . For this reason alone , unless they do a major cleanup , facelift , and decor on the outside , most will opt not to try it . Still both names still on outside of diner . Yes , I know , very strange thinking . Well at least they can say it's like having two diners in one. My egg sandwich was very good . Roll was soft and very good as well . Nicely portioned Taylor Ham , egg , and cheese . Actually better tasting than the other local diners . I had chicken orzo soup . Good quality ingredients , but kind of bland tasting . The owners need to doctor the soup up a bit with a little garlic , tabasco , etc . Still no desserts yet . They are apparently doing the partial soft opening to get staff trained and I assume to get cash flow coming in as they wrap up the remodel . Like I said this place has great potential and inside decor is modern , clean , and refreshing w/ good food . This is not a bad review . They just really need to get the outside act together with a meticulous polish , clean , and scrub down . But I get it , money doesn't grow on trees . Though unfortunately , the outside is the first impression and first main selling point to potential customers driving by. During the soft opening they really need to add at least one dessert to menu . Just by a sheet cake from Costco and throw it on the menu , for now . Definitely not a traditional diner, which is what I was looking for, but more of a trendy breakfast/lunch spot. Very clean, chic decor and friendly but spotty service. I don't like places that i have to take off five ingredients on a dish to have it (i have an egg allergy and every sandwich here had aioli or an egg based dressing on it), so I settled for a turkey (real turkey and very good) pita sandwich and sweet potato fries (not oily always a plus). Yea I'm definitely a pleased customer. I've been here at least once a week for the past few months...I haven't been disappointed. Mexican wrap, standard breakfasts, pancakes, omelets, Angus burger, homemade desserts... the list goes on. I recommend this diner over every other diner in the area.... please believe me, and try to save me a parking spot. Lol Bravo! (I will say the coffee is subpar... and I love coffee, Lavazza every morning... however I don't come for the coffee, your food is quality.. please continue this trend) I would describe the interior as a modern cafe..booths are comfortable, seats have great back support, there are large, healthy plants, it is bright and clean, and there is soothing house music playing at a calm volume. Service is solid, there have been some hiccups, but I don't stress the little things..mistakes happen, and solutions follow.
