Not your typical dinner menu, that being said they have a good selection of foods you don't normally see at a dinner. Yea I'm definitely a pleased customer. I've been here at least once a week for the past few months...I haven't been disappointed. Mexican wrap, standard breakfasts, pancakes, omelets, Angus burger, homemade desserts... the list goes on. I recommend this diner over every other diner in the area.... please believe me, and try to save me a parking spot. Lol Bravo! (I will say the coffee is subpar... and I love coffee, Lavazza every morning... however I don't come for the coffee, your food is quality.. please continue this trend) I would describe the interior as a modern cafe..booths are comfortable, seats have great back support, there are large, healthy plants, it is bright and clean, and there is soothing house music playing at a calm volume. Service is solid, there have been some hiccups, but I don't stress the little things..mistakes happen, and solutions follow. I was in the area and was looking for a place to eat. I saw this diner and I'm glad I did. When I walked in I was surprised that it looks so nice inside. Our waiter was very nice and very attentive. We ordered the sampler, cheese burger and reuben. They were all fresh and delicious. They have a nice selection of desserts. I had their orange pie and strawberry mousse it paired well with their cappuccino. If I'm in the area again I would definitely go back. read more

But, I could've eaten my meal twice, maybe three times, it was so small. Service was okay. Watched three people wipe down the same table three times, each of them never moved the salt/pepper/sugar setup, just wiped around them. You pay right at the table. Wait staff watches you calculate their tip right in front of them. A tip based on an overpriced, small portion meal, while you're still hungry. It's not the wait staff's fault you're still hungry. It's fine. Seems like they make the burritos in bulk and microwave them or keep them in chaffing trays. Too uniform and odd. Came out too quick and only at room temperature. It's like a free breakfast at a hotel. Coffee and bacon was good but the place had an odd smell, not horrible, just odd. Watching the waiter stare at the payment and tip screen while you pay was not good. Would have tipped much less but the glare. Oh the glare! His service was terrible. Food came out before the coffee and no refills. Also, asked about what was included with the meal, and he was wrong. Whatever, he seemed new. It was ok. I left hungry. Had breakfast here on a lark. Previously the Galaxy diner. We were surprised to find it was a newly renovated diner and we were greeted at the door. We sat at booth and enjoyed the lovely butcher block tables. Rami was our server and he was very sweet and attentive. We got the decaf coffee and it was very good and hot. Our order arrived quickly and the food was hot and tasty. The menu had some unique selections that made you curious to try. After we finished our meal, Rami asked us for any comments on our meal. I think that's says something about how they care about customer satisfaction. Good job and good luck! read more

Food okay and a bit expensive. Soft opening menu still active after a couple years being open or after buying Galaxy Diner. Problem: Checked receipt from credit card payment and our 20% tip showed up as a 35% tip n my credit card statement. They bring a portable credit card processor to your table and we did choose 20% tip. Apparently, they processed the bill with a 35% tip. We live in the area but will not return primarily due to this incident and the food is also overpriced. read more

It might not be fair to leave a review as this diner is doing a "soft opening." Limited menu, etc. I am glad to see someone open up in this space, which has changed hands a few times in the 25+ years I've lived here. Inside had been completely renovated, but they've removed the counter; odd for a diner. Also odd is a high top table near the front where hostess and waitstaff sits. Breakfast was two scrambled eggs, toast, home fries, and coffee. I had to wait for my first cup as it was "still brewing." Home fries were basic, little onion and no green pepper, but cooked nicely and a generous portion. Eggs a tad overcooked and dry. Toast was dry, too, practically no butter. Had to ask for ketchup, hot sauce, and jelly. No paper check ("we're trying to save the trees") so server brings a device to the table so you can pay. Staff was all young. I'm not being ageist but most diners have one or two staff who have seen it all and can handle anything. This staff was nice enough but not seasoned. This place is admittedly still finding its way and maybe this is what the new New Jersey diner experience is becoming. I wanted to check them out and I did. But for my weekend diner breakfast I'm sticking with the Butler Family Diner on Main St., not fancy but familiar and good. read more

Reopened as a new and have to say the interior is well done, sleek, clean and welcoming. The front has a beautiful coffee bar that's serves all kinds of espresso cold/hot drinks and desserts. The service and server was great and food was delicious. Hope they keep up the great work. read more

My sister recommended the Oasis Diner. I went in for Breakfast. The exterior & interior was completely renovated. It's nice neat and clean. I was seated right away & given a Menu. I had a stack of Pancakes, 2 Eggs overeasy, 2 Sausages, and a glass of water. I waited 10 minutes and the food came out. The food was Perfectly cooked and Absolutely Delicious!!! The waitress was very nice and friendly. The above Breakfast coast $15. And was well worth it. Now I have to go back and try their Lunch menu, and then their Dinner menu. I've worked in Diners so many and usually stray away from them. I'd heard how great this place was and from the moment I walked in the door I knew I was in for a treat. I was greeted with a curated coffee & juice menu which if you know me ... truly is the way to my heart - and an artfully crafted menu with some really great picks. Was hard to decide but I decided to go sweet & savory - the best of both worlds because why not?! I really loved every single thing from the ambiance, the service, the offerings, the plating, flavors. Very beautiful almost Californian Vibe which smelled amazing with aromas of beautiful dishes. The hash browns were fine but the omelette was a thin pancake looking thing with unripe tomatoes and barely any feta. The only thing that gave it taste was the olives. They're going to have to up their game with places like the Pompton Queen down the road where you get plump omelettes, hot and fast. Prices were high for the quality and quantity of food. Also having to pay the waiter with him standing right at your table while you choose the tip is uncomfortable. They should really rethink that. read more

I hate doing this. I love this place but they really got to stick with their hoyrs of operation. Been going at 7:00 am for quite some time. Lately been getting tbere at 7 00. Prices were on the high side although the portions were OK, again not dinner portions. The staff was friendly and still in training, learning the menu. I ordered an omelet with hash browns and toast. When we didn't pick up our straws immediately the waiter tried to take them back. When we said we would use them he asked if we wanted more straws. LOL. Both the decor and menu have a "California" vibe. The first thing you note on entering is a large, open coffee bar, with a long list of options and an adjacent case of yummy-looking desserts. The next thing you note is the "oasis" of greenery in the middle of the main dining room, as well as the light woods used on tables throughout. If you're looking for standard NJ diner fare--bathed in oils and fats, and offering enough food per plate to stuff a horse--the Oasis is NOT that. While some standard diner fare is offered--especially at breakfast, although Meatloaf and Roast Turkey appear at dinner too--the Oasis offers a fairly wide range of tasty, healthy, fresh foods in reasonable quantities. This is still their soft-opening period, and a prominent note on the menu points that out and asks for your understanding. Nonetheless, service is friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious.
