I came here because they offer fresh out of the oven bread. I haven't been here since a new place opened. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed about this transaction. 1) It cost me about $20 more for the same dinners I would order elsewhere. 2) Portions were about half the size 3) The bread wasn't fresh at all. 4) The chicken was so incredibly dry, it's not edible. 5) I asked for rice & received stale French fries. Seriously this place used to be good, but has obviously taken a nose dive. I'm shocked they are still in business. I should have known when I pulled up no cars in the parking lot & no one inside restaurant. Save yourself the headache & go straight to Boff's on 10 Mile. They truly are the best! We, a local family-owned business has been ordering from Oasis for MANY, MANY years for our work lunches, luncheons and meetings. With my co-workers we order from Oasis in Warren often, a few times a month, in the past we have always been pleased with food and service until very recently. As of January 2026, we have noticed a HUGE decline in the food quality. The portions have been VERY SMALL, not even filling the boxes or soup containers; 1/2 the portions from what we have received in the past but more costly.??. The nan bread used to be served fresh and warm; (one of the reasons we would go to Oasis over their competitors down the street.) We would get a full paper bag of fresh bread. Today with our order we received only 5 very small not fresh bread pieces in a plastic bag. We also ordered a power juice It was only carrot Juice, poor flavor, and very watered down. Normally I would not take the time to right a bad review like this, but this is NOT the same restaurant we had in the past. I don't know if this place has changed owners recently?? We have tried to return a few different times only to be continually disappointed. Today we unitedly decided we will NOT be returning back. It's very disappointing with the economy being the way it is to go to a restaurant that charges an high amount for a large salad in a container that meant to be used for dinners with the dividers. Hubby ordered lemon oregano chicken tawook, and it came with soup or salad, and rice or fries. He ordered the regular salad which was way overdressed and rice, and the rice was delicious, along with the chicken and lemon oregano sauce. I just ordered a kabob (beef) sandwich and asked it for it to be prepared medium rare. It came out very rare, and the meat wasn't even warm. The service was so spotty, instead of sending it back, I just packed it up and recooked it at home. We wanted to pay & leave, but our server was nowhere to be found. Started off with a cobra fresh juice, hummus with chicken gallaba, spicy, a small spicy hummus, two skewers of chicken kafta and large dinner salad too. The pita pockets are pretty warm, all shapes. The garlic sauce is slightly lemony and quite yummy. The pockets aren't bad. The large Fattoush was okay, had some brown pieces, salad but and some really long pieces. Dressing isn't bad, nice amount of sumac too. The lettuce is almost all iceberg, not my favorite. The small salad is also iceberg and okay. I finished my salad, my husband finished his hummus with gallaba and no grilled skewers of chicken kafta yet. Hmm. I don't want them anymore. I am filled up from the couple of pitas with hummus and garlic sauce by now. Our waitress never did write down our food order at all. We haven't seen our waitress since she brought us the cobra juice. She did come to ask if we wanted our bills. The waitress brought our first bill. The grape leaves were good but some were too light on the filling so it was mostly leaves. I had a taste for middle eastern so I stopped at the closest spot on the way home. Sometimes you just have to make the drive. I ordered the "Cilantro Chicken". I guess they decided to use the sautéed chicken and mushrooms toss some cilantro in it.The description stated it was to include jalapeños... There were none. Let's just say SALT was used in the dish. I asked for grilled vegetables instead of rice. Being in metro Detroit eating Middle Eastern often, grilled vegetables are usually peppers, onions and carrots. I received raw three pieces of raw cauliflower one piece of raw broccoli and a ton of raw carrots tossed over some heat. I'm ok with it being raw but it tasted as if it was rinsed in the dish sanitizer to mask an odor. Needless to say I'm disappointed. The high point??? The salad, the salad was very fresh. Terrible customer service. Called in a carry-out order and discovered at home I was given the wrong food- a sandwich rather than an entree. I am gluten intolerant. I would never order a sandwich. Claimed the error was on our side. Offered no apology and refused to give a discount if I still wanted the entree. So we wasted money on a sandwich that I could not eat. At the very least they should have knocked the price of the sandwich off the price of the dinner. We took our business elsewhere. Will not go back to Oasis. read more

I will start off saying that I typically love Oasis but.... Lately the quality has been falling off. Today I ordered a spinach fatoosh with shawarma chicken without salad dressing. Just fantastic, the shortest way I can sum up the food and service here! The service is on point with every one of my visits here (I have been here at least 3-4 times not). My order: - Chicken Shawarma Plate with rice and salad: The rice is so fluffy and the vermicelli is a nice touch! - Hommous: I really enjoyed the balance of lemon juice and garlic in the hommous. - Bread: I absolutely love the bread here because of its hot, fresh out of the oven, and tasty. I pointed out all the differences when I placed a carry out order and the lady apologizes as I tell her specifically I would not have ordered x y z if it was not on special or at the price indicated by the site. If you like bland food without any flavor this is certainly your place. Garlic isn't authentic, taste more like store bought. Chicken isn't marinated just basic meat slapped on the grill. I came here with two of my co-workers and I wasn't expecting a whole lot but this place pleasantly surprised me. First of all our waiter was fantastic. He was the perfect amount of friendly and professional. My co-worker wanted a dozen extra pita bread to go along with his to go order and our waiter immediately told him it's on the house. How nice! They started us off with pita bread and a side of their garlic dip and salsa. The salsa threw me for a loop but it worked with the pita. I personally love La Saj's garlic dip because of its KAPOW garlic flavor that just hits you. Theirs wasn't as potent but it did the job okay. Anyhow, I was saving room for my tabbouleh and chicken sandwich. No complaints. It was delicious and I pretty much killed it. One of my co-workers got their special of the day lamb and green beans and I took a bite of that and that dish was soooo good. What a steal as it was under $10 for quite a hefty portion. The lamb couldn't be more tender and the sauce it was sitting in was complex, slightly sweet and married perfectly with the green beans. It tasted like the ultimate comfort food. I imagined some grandmotherly figure in a flower apron slaving over a hot stove to lovingly make this dish. My co-worker had initially planned on taking half of it home with him but it was so good he finished the entire thing. I also ordered something to go. The shish kafta and a small order of tabbouleh. The tabbouleh was fresh and they don't chop the parsley as fine as other places which is fine with me. My only complaint is that they need to find better containers for the tabbouleh as it kept seeping liquid out and completely drenched the paper bag it was sitting in. The waiter replaced that for me and it completely drenched the second bag also. Watch out for that! I am definitely coming back here and instead of going with the typical chicken shawarma, I might take a second look at their specials as that's where they really shine. My recent visit to Oasis was less than stellar. First I almost slipped on the floor and I don't mean there was a slippery spot; the WHOLE floor was slippery. It seemed slippery with grease. How are they cleaning it? I normally love the free bread at Oasis but this time it was undercooked. It looked fine, but after biting into it, tasted like raw dough. I explained this to my waitress and she replied, "Would you like more?" I looked at her in disbelief and said no. Why would I want more of something that isn't cooked right? My actual dinner was good but one last issue - my salad. It was soaked in dressing. I love olive oil but you can have too much of a good thing. I could only eat half of it. Oasis is one of my go to restaurants that I think of as being five stars but it's been slipping recently. read more

First order that was delivered via grub hub was good enough to hook my me and my wife into ordering twice more (both were picked up) The pictures on the web site of a clean restaurant are very misleading. I have been there and the same each time. Suggested by the owner to have a seat and wair for our order and both times I could not notice the oil and streak marks on the tables. Looks like someone used a dirty rag to do the job. The floor in the same condition both times. You could see the oil on the tile floor. Lets not forget the touch screen your server lady uses... It HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED IT IS FILTHY TO THE 3RD DEGREE-DISGUSTING. Also, the restaurant is surrounded by glass windows, These people never heard of window cleaners or glass cleaner. I'm just saying, I wonder what the kitchen looks like! You know, the area the customer does not see! Yuk! Mens bathroom might be the cleanest area there, I don't know??? Lets talk about the food. How do you want your meat? Let me have medium please. But try not to give me charred meat, PLEASE. Well why ask if your just going to get what the cook serves you anyway? My beef was charred beyond reckognition. Nothing was medium, all was well well well done very dry, and tough. The chicken was dry like flour, and what happened? I got some carrots the first couple times I ordered but not a one this time. The foutosh was soggy and oil soaked or wilted lettuce. Maybe both and the bread sucked the last two times. My wife and I are looking for a new middle eastern restaurant to give a try. I notice the ratings for this place are recently trending DOWN. I would advise anyone to let our experience be your guide and save yourself the dissapointment. Go somewhere else. These people don't care. Also, I cant say much for the young middle easter girl waiting the register. She doesn't seem to want to be there nor does she have a very pleasant attitude. I'm sorry I gave them as much of my business as I have. About $45 each for 3 carry outs plus additional $5 tip. EDIT (February 22, 2013) What a difference two years can do. I came in for lunch recently at Oasis and they were busy with the lunch crowd! I was seated and I ordered. I have given up on the chicken shawarma ever tasting the way it did two years ago when I first discovered Oasis. The chicken shawarma again was DRY! I ordered some lentil soup and it was ok and not something to write home about. My biggest issue this time around were the pita bread. Since I love stuffing my chicken shawarma into their freshly baked pita bread, I was VERY disappointed to learn that they now cook it about HALF the size as I remembered it to be -- roughly about the size of a palm (not hand, PALM). They were piping hot, they were freshly baked but they were SMALL! Add the fact that they would only give you THREE pieces so that you are pretty much at the mercy of your server as to when she can get back to you to refill your pitas when yours run out. When you see yourself eating with the lunch crowd, this can probably be several minutes. What irked me the most from this visit was what, to me, a very UNPROFESSIONAL conduct by one of the employees -- in GREEN APRON nonetheless so he is unmistakably on the clock! He sat across the table from one of the dining customers (maybe a friend?) and talked forever it seems (they were still talking when I left) WHILE the lunch crowd was coming and going! There were probably only about 7 tables empty when I was there. Now I don't mean to be a pretentious SOB but when I am dining, I expect that restaurant employees be where they are supposed to be doing what they are supposed to do: servers getting orders and delivering drinks and food to customers, bus boys cleaning tables for the next customers and cooks at the kitchen cooking! If you are on break (and what a long break that was!) and want to chit chat with your friend(s) in the dining room, at least have the decency to take your apron off! I seriously doubt I will ever be back to Oasis but we had a good run. Looking at their lunch crowd, I don't think I'll be missed anyway. Man I used to love this place and today I received food that was less than mediocre. The chicken shawarma sandwiches were dry and plain, you could honestly create a better version from Subway! Asked for extra garlic sauces on the side and I doubt the girl understood what I was saying all 4 times. Looked in the bag and she did charge me for 2 but only received 1 that was only 20% filled. Ordered a 4 piece falafel and they were dry as sh$t with disgusting vegetables. Pretty sure they sprayed them with windex to be truthful. I'll never go back ever again! The food is usually good but they have become Incredibly inconsistent. The last few months it's hit or miss as to whether or not we get all the sauces we usually get. It seemed for a certain time period that they would randomly change the shape and consistency of their pita bread (sometimes round and charred, sometimes square and more "doughy"). What's really p***ed me off, however is that the last two times I've ordered online I've come in to find out their online ordering isn't working because their "fax machine is down"... just get a new fax machine already (they're not that expensive) or turn off your online ordering.
