My husband and I did a last minute diner change and wanted something healthy but flavorful. We decided on this place and were pleased with the meals. We ordered chicken shawarma sandwich, chicken ghallaba(made it spicy), mango lassi, and their castle smoothie. They gave me a tone of chicken in my ghallaba. I do think I've had better hommous and garlic sauce and bread because I've had it fresh at a sit down restaurant. But the meals were good enough to come back to. Presentation was beautiful. We recommend it and will be going back. The guy in the front was patient with us and another was kind and gave us our food. It's very clean in there and you can tell they care about this business. The service was great!! They have redone the interior, which looks nice. The food, on the other hand, not so great. I got the chicken shawarma entree. The chicken and garlic sauce were both good, although it's hard to mess up garlic sauce! The rice had a flavor of nutmeg or something and there were NO pickled veggies. Instead, I got two things slices of cucumber, which were good because I love veggies! The salad dressing was reminiscent of apple cider. Not a fan and I'm sure I won't be going back. Great value for quantity and quality of food with good service. That will get a 4 star from me. Got a small Fattoush salad with chicken - see picture below - it was *loaded* with chicken. In fact I probably would have preferred for salad, lol. Service was friendly. It was made within 5-10 minutes. It comes with a side of garlic but I subbed it for hummus free of charge. It does come with fried pita, which too me was too greasy so I picked them out. Shawarma chicken is white meat and they slice it from the skewer. Near the appliance store sign. Passed it up the first time. Ordered chicken gallaba, side of hummus and side salad to go and a chicken kafta plate with a side of hummus and a side salad. Food takes about 15-20 minutes to be done. $33.89. The salad is okay, it's iceberg, not my favorite, the dressing is decent, sumac would give it more punch for me. The chicken kafta, but it's a little bit dry. You can even see the parsley and herbs and spices in the ground chicken meat. The garlic sauce and the hummus are so-so. It's a nice place to have the pickled vegetables with the dinner. They gave us white onions with the bigger salad. The big salad was the same iceberg burnt pieces and tomato ends as the small one. I don't mind their fattoush dressing, it has good flavor. The chicken gallaba was okay. Service is quick and easy. read more

We've enjoyed everything we've gotten here. The fattoush isn't my favorite around but it's good enough that I still order a small side. One time I did get a shawarma PIZZA when I asked for a PITA - I didn't even realize that existed - and it was actually delicious. But now I know to ask for a sandwich and not a pita! The food was good, this place would be a good option when I can't get to my favorite spot in Midtown. I ordered the Shish Tawook lunch special, good price. The chicken was good and tender, the rice was amazing. I didn't like the salad or dressing. The lettuce was fresh but it wasn't a fatoosh salad it was a regular ice berg salad which I didn't expect to get from a Mediterranean restaurant. The dressing was sour, it wasn't the typical dressing you get on a fatoosh salad. I would definitely eat from here again. Oh, one last complaint, the cashier didn't have his mask on, it was down around his chin, I didn't like that at all. We have to do better people!!!! read more

Everyone rants and raves about this place! WRONG! Mr. Kabob or Asya is way better, although a bit further. The grape leaves were NOT GOOD! They serve them cold. When I heated them, they turned to a runny mush and had zero flavor! The Torshi was bland, not picked enough. The bread was just plain pita, served cold. The only half way decent item was the chicken shawarma wrap. BUT even that wasn't great. It was small and had barely any garlic and maybe two pickles! This place has a very good chicken shawarma sandwich, I love shawarma sandwiches so I try them everywhere I go but when I'm in this side of town this is my favorite place, I actually discovered it by accident cause I was very hungry and craving it and just drove by. Shawarma Castle checks all the boxes. I got the cream chop plate for 11$, with rice, pita, and a salad along with a great sized portion. Enough for 2 meals for myself. Will be visiting again many more times! Also- the inside of the restaurant is very nice and kept up, dont be discouraged by the surrounding parking lots appearance.
