We were surprised to see a Filipino restaurant on the way to Death Valley so we knew we wanted to try it out! It definitely is more of a hole in the wall vibe, which to me usually is a sign of good food. There was a steady flow of people who came in to order after us so seems like a pretty popular spot. We got the ube milk drink with boba. Had a nice amount of ube paste on the cup as you can see, they did not skimp out on it! Nice milky ube flavor after mixing. We ordered the pork lumpia, chicken pancit and lechonsilog (garlic rice plate). Everything was made to order so it was nice and fresh! Lumpia were nice and crispy, good pork flavor and on the salty side but paired well with the sweet chili sauce. The chicken and veggie pancit was freshly off the wok, even 10-15 mins into the meal it was still hot! It also was on the salty side with peppery flavor. The lechon was crunchy and cut into nice 1-2 bite pieces. The garlic rice tasted more like pepper than garlic to me, wish it had a little more garlic flavor. Overall the food was just a bit on the salty/peppery side for me, but otherwise seemed like a good place for classic Filipino food. PSA: You can find legit, soul-hugging Filipino food in the middle of the desert -- yes, Ridgecrest, California. If you're cruising along the 395 and your stomach starts singing sad songs, pull off and come here immediately. This spot was hands-down the most unique and appetizing restaurant I found in the area, and it absolutely delivered. They serve homestyle soups like tinola manok that taste like they were cooked by someone's very loving auntie. If you're a sinigang fan they might have that too. Comforting, and deeply satisfying especially if you feel under the weather -- and exactly what you want after hours of desert driving. Bonus points: they also have boba slushie-style drinks, including Ube. Perfect when it gets hot out here. This place feels like a hidden food gem and oasis in the Mojave. I placed my order through DoorDash and went to the restaurant for pickup. As soon as I walked in, the place felt open, spacious, and very clean. The staff had my order ready right on time, which made the pickup quick and easy. I tried the Thai tea boba first, and that's when I knew this place was going to be good. When the milk tea is made right, you can tell the food will be just as good. The Thai tea was honestly one of the best I've had. Coming from someone who's tried Thai tea all over Los Angeles, this definitely matched that level. Then I tried the chicken katsudon, and it instantly became comfort food for me. It was flavorful, fresh, and so satisfying. This is easily one of the best comfort food spots I've found in Ridgecrest, and it truly reminds me of the quality restaurants back in LA County. Service was friendly and when we came it wasn't super busy! Definitely will make this a frequent stop when I'm up here visiting from Orange County! After a hard days work it was time for some good food. Fired up yelp to see what was around and caught this Filipino restaurant nearby. It is located in a shopping plaza near an Albertsons in a back corner. When you go inside there is some seating in case you wanted to dine in. I just wanted to order and eat back at the hotel. I wanted to try something simple to see how it was. Ended up ordering the chicken pancit and a 5 piece pork lumpia. Everything is made to order so there will be a wait just in case you are in a rush. Total time waiting was around 15 min. I could feel the heat coming through the styrofoam and bag so at least I knew it was fresh. When I finally opened it up I was delighted to see how much food there was, well worth the price. The food was still hot and in fact I actually had to let it cool down before I could eat it. The pork lumpia was good but combined with the sauce made it even better. Once the main food cooled down enough I ate about half and saved the rest for later. Now, I normally eat a lot so for me to save some speaks volumes to just how much they give you. Taste wise it was ok, nothing spectacular but I enjoyed that it was fresh and hot. I don't think I'll be coming back here after asking for a substitution for my order and getting the shits shortly after, which is a phenomenon upon itself considering I eat out often and can't remember the last i had the runs. I knew someone was awry but brushed it off when I had to repeat myself several times to the bewildered cashier and then again to the lady that was working in the back if I can have my ordered changed. Things have definitely improved and we've been coming here a lot in the past year. Yesterday they had a new coffee drink on the menu, which I was particularly happy to see. The coffee jelly cold brew ($5.45) tasted a lot like Vietnamese iced coffee, which is great. The jelly chunks are large, and rather firm (compared to other jellies we've had), which means it doesn't really work with a boba straw. I think they should work on making the jelly a bit softer/smaller so you can drink it. The fact that they only offer one size of drink means I had leftovers for the next day, cuz these drinks are huge. We've been trying just about everything on the menu, and have liked it all except the fries because they're always extremely salty (not exaggerating). Only tried and came for the Lechon law Ali and was very pleased with it. It was cooked to order and the flavor and texture was . Honestly didint have high expectations given this desert area But ngl I'm definitely gonna frequent this place more often given a great first impression from the Lechon . We also tried their boba. Passion fruit green tea and the ube milk. The drinks themselves were ehh ok but the boba was actually pretty solid. Great texture, and not hard or slimey and old. Tasty Filipino food in the small town of Ridgecrest?! I mean, who would have thunk it?! This place is simply delicious! Came here for dinner after leaving Death Valley, and my oh my was I impressed! This is kind of a hole in the wall spot located at the end of a random shopping center. Very clean interior and super sweet and helpful staff. The food is ordered cafeteria style where you pick and choose from pre-cooked entrees that are set in buffet style food warmers. They offer popular Filipino (and Asian fusion) food items such as adobo, tocino, sinigang, lumpia, lechon, and etc. They also make boba tea here and apparently this is the only spot in town that does. The prices are really reasonable and they give you big food portions. I ordered a two entree combo with lechon, chicken adobo, garlic rice, a side of lumpia, and a Thai iced tea. It ain't anything fancy, but dayum was this food delicious! That LECHON!!! The BEST thang on the plate. It was so incredibly crispy on the outside. And when I bit into it, the pork was nice and tender. They fried that lechon kawali to absolute perfection! The lumpia was the next best item on the plate, and it too was fried perfectly. It had that perfect lovable crunch every time I bit into it, and it was very flavorful. The garlic rice was nice and fluffy. The only thing I didn't really care for too much was the chicken adobo. Although I enjoyed the flavor, it was too dry for me. I honestly don't why I ordered chicken adobo when I usually get pork. I think I just didn't want to overload my plate with pork since I already had the lechon. I think they use chicken breasts for their chicken adobo. I imagine that the pork adobo would be juicier, but I digress. The Thai tea was tasty too, but they didn't fill my cup all the way to the top and I felt jipped. Aside from the dryish chicken adobo and the under-filled Thai tea cup, this meal was really good. I actually tried to come back again the next day but they had already closed. They close at 7 pm which I feel is quite early. But for it being in such a small town like this, it actually makes sense. I don't know if or when I'd be back in this area again. Don't order the chow menu. So bad. I ordered the lumpia and noodle. I usually prefer the garlic rice but you don't have that option when order online so I got the noddle. I will not order the lumpia or the noodle ever again. The lumpia was dried and salty. The noodle, OMG... so salty and sour. I think they just use soy sauce to marinate it. I tried to add lots of fried egg, stir fried onion and add some sugar but couldn't make it edible. Still so salty. Do they not taste the food when they cook to make sure it's ok? Last time I ordered pho and the soup tasted like salt water. This time the noodle tasted like salt. They really need to work on cutting it down by half the amount cause it's so hard to eat. read more

This is our favorite place to get takeout. Great food and decent milk tea. Our favorites are the Pork Adobo, Sweet Cured Chicken, and the lumpia but everything is good. Their milk teas tend to be very sweet so I would ask for less sweet. The staff has always been very kind and the restaurant is very clean. Great point point Filipino fast food. Most items are already prepared and sitting out for you to point at the dishes you wish to devour. Some dishes are cooked after ordering. Be sure to look at the menu and not just what's out on display. Social distancing is practiced. Didn't need to use restrooms so no clue on that matter. Parking lot is a large shared lot that I doubt gets busy enough to worry about finding a spot. Order the 2-item combo: garlic fried rice, ampalaya, and lechon. This is one of the few places in Ridgecrest where you can get solid Asian food. Friendly service and clean establishment. They portions are generous. However, don't be surprised if there's stuff out of stock. It's hard to get a lot of these ingredients and there were a couple items I wanted to try and they said they didn't get supplies in. I had the two item combo with double scoop garlic rice. pork belly adobo and another pork dish with a coconut base sauce garnished with serano peppers, mildly spicy. Additionally I had a half order of Lechon and 5 lumpia. A+ on all dishes save for Lumpia which only get an A. I have a second home in inyokern and will def be back to this gem. read more

Came here for lunch after completing a weeks long solar service nightmare, in 100 degree heat. My experience here made it all worth it. Had a Thai tea, without boba, cause boba is disgusting. You know it, I know it, enough is enough. I ordered the chicken katsodon, pork lumpia rolls, and got a box of the hello panda snack thing. The katsodon and garlic rice was great but I thought it would be crunchy, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be, regardless it was delicious. The pork lumpia, where do I start? I wasn't ready to eat the best thing I've ever ate this morning when I woke up, so I'm having trouble finding the words. It was perfect. Only giving you five is basically criminal, I wish I would have ordered 50. All of this coupled with the fact they had Backstreet Boys greatest hits on in the background. I'm still sitting in here while writing this review jamming out. Those lumpia rolls should quit playing games with my heart, cause I live three hours away. Also someone and I don't know who has a beautiful singing voice that you can hear on occasion. It's so nice and cool inside you would have no idea you're next door to Death Valley. A million stars. my wife is filipino so i've had my fair share of filipino food -- and we both agreed that the lechon they make here is pretty much as good as it gets anywhere. we also tried their taro milk, which i would definitely recommend, as it's probably the best one i've had outside of boracay, and specifically in discovery shores the lumpia is also worth an order if you're wanting something other than just delicious crispy pork fat; it was pretty busy when we went and everyone seemed to be ordering their korean style short ribs, so i imagine that's pretty good, given the reviews they get we otherwise tried some of their other stuff but none of it really left an impression like the lechon did. overall: some of the better filipino food i've had in america period, and at a very reasonable price. the next time we're in ridgecrest, there's no question we'll be back thank you for the meal! read more

Bulgogi was one of the dishes we ordered along with chicken adobo, longonisa, pinakbet, sinigang, and dinuguan. Legit treasure in the middle of this small town. Having grown up in SD the mecca of Filipino food I'm so glad we decided to try this out today. Everything was just a gastronomical experience. My friend and I ate here last week. First time for me, I'm not much for Filipino food. The food, the service and did I say food was amazing . A lot of food for the price. Used to come here a lot, but then one day, the service was slower than usual. I figured they were just busy. Then, I came back a couple more times, and it feels like it has gotten worse. I said to myself, "I'm going to give them a break and not come for a while." Well, it's been at least a couple of months and came back. Ok, this place is a little hit or miss. Some food is just excellent and a lot of it is just buffet fare that's been sitting out too long. And it's a little weird that there's a menu you can order from, but every time we've been and ordered from them they're annoyed and it takes so long. But some of our favorite things are only on the menu - not on the hot buffet. The other warning I'll give is the seasoned rice is different. First few bites you may think it's not going to be good, but stick with it. It's good. For some reason it just takes a minute. My favorite part, they'll let you try things from the hot buffet. My bf was so excited to see diniguan was one of the items. So excited that he chose it for both of his sides! First time in town and had to try "traditional" Filipino food. Came in late, scare selection which was understandable so I order a single combo plate of lechon kawali and garlic rice. The pork belly was deliciously fried but the garlic rice was a major fail. It was VERY dry and had no trace of garlic. Basic Filipino rule, never run out of rice and don't serve bad rice. Kubo sprung a leaked on the second. I'll try again to give them a chance but please fix the rice. read more
