Within 20 minutes, Vic was at my house & after a brief chat we arranged a start date 2 weeks out. In the interim, Vic came to my house on five separate occasions, free of charge. He inspected the equipment, made some repairs, recommended some supplies & provided two extra links to the pool cleaner to optimize its function at no additional expense. I ran into Richard at Leslie's and he let me know he cleans pools for a living and was very knowledgeable about pool maintenance and the chemistry that goes behind not only maintaining a pool but starting it for the first time. Turns out there's a whole process you need to do when you first add water to a pool to make sure you prolong the life of your mini pebble. I'm so lucky I ran into him, I asked him to do my starter process and he was able to accommodate me. I really appreciate it since it was last minute. His price was really reasonable too. Over the years, it became clear that these two businesses are operated jointly, and I have supporting photos and documentation demonstrating they function as one entity. For a couple of years, Robert regularly serviced our pool, and I consistently sent Zelle payments to the number listed on his business profile. However, the quality of service deteriorated significantly. During our last interaction, there was an issue with my spa. Robert quoted me $350 for a part and $150 for installation. I informed him I would purchase the part myself but was fine paying him $150 for installation. After that, he stopped responding entirely--no further service, no returned messages. Upon inspecting the system, I discovered that critical equipment had been tampered with. A high-horsepower pump powering the solar heating system had been removed and replaced with a much smaller (under 1 HP) unit. The entire configuration had been altered, rendering the system non-functional. This situation wasn't just a case of poor service--it was dishonest and damaging. I have thorough documentation of our payments, communication, and the unauthorized equipment changes. The Zelle number used matches the one listed on his Yelp business profile. Please exercise extreme caution if you're considering hiring Anchor Pool or Flamingo Pool Services. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend either. They were small areas of concrete, and this was a critical mistake: Concrete flatwork 101. They provide a small makeshift drain, at one area, but nothing for the other 2 areas. B. The wall patching that was done, upon my priming and painting, after their repair work was done, resembled work of a bad handyman. C. There is no light switch for the light they replaced, or at least I can't find it. Yet, when I emailed, texted, and called, (5x) over a 6-month period, Michael wouldn't even return my call. No service after the sale. That's why I can not, in good conscience, recommend Paradise Pools. Michael, all I wanted to know was where is the switch for my pool light. I would have lived with the other issues, and not given this review. ‍You should have called me.
