When you're on vacation and looking for decent family place to dine in, it's a challenge. We decided to try this place and while it wasn't quite meet the hype of other Yelp reviews, it was okay. I had the vermicelli noodles with pork and egg rolls. I didn't fancy the pork meet. While it had some flavor, I've tasted better marinations. The egg roll is good. The fish sauce was bland. I'm not sure how to describe the flavor besides its orange water??? Fish sauce is supposed to taste pungent and very distinctive to anchovies flavor. This was a true miss. Perhaps, we came here on an off day from the chef since other reviews seem more positive. Not sure if we will come here again but if anything, it was worth the try.

Expectedly below-average Asian food around the Lake George area. Everything is a dim muted flavor of what one would expect. Bread is doughy. Vegetables are filler. Sauces are overtly sweet. Prices are high. Service is slow and distracted by their averted gaze towards their iPhone. I'm glad one can get a nourishing pho around Lake George, albeit extremely diluted and abnormally expensive. Though perhaps to be expected.

My love for Vietnamese food took me to Oasis in near Lake George area. We were in the area visiting Six flags and I always want to try different Vietnamese restaurants. I look up restaurants online and found them and decided to give them a try. The restaurant had parking right in front. Although it was small it could accommodate about 8-10 cars I believe. I ordered the grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli noodles. At first the presentation of the dish looked good. All the ingredients that was supposed to be there, was there. However, the taste was not that good. The pork was not seasoned with any flavor. I like my meat a little char and there was not any. The fish sauce had no flavor at all. It tasted like water really and I had to ask for a second cup. They didn't use enough fish sauce or lime because maybe skimping out on the ingredients. Overall, I did finish the dish because I was hungry. Maybe it was the dish I ordered but wouldn't recommend that dish. The server was the owner and she was very nice and accommodating. It was really the only Vietnamese restaurant in the area so you don't have much options. Maybe other dishes would taste better but what I ordered did not.

This is some of THE worst quality Vietnamese food I've had. I was very excited to find this place, but also the service is very brusque.

I cannot be any happier that there is DELICIOUS Pho, right down the road from my house! The three people who were working tonight were kind, inviting and pumped out some really amazing dishes. I'm apparently late to the game because the place was very, very busy (but I barely waited at all for my food, or service!) so apparently the word is out that this place is GREAT! Very impressed and will be back again and again!

Food was great and added my own spice. Wifes was ok but not enough flavor. Wasn't impressed that the silverware and utensils were left on the table for anyone to sneeze, cough, or touch.

A lovely little establishment beside the Oasis Motel, off the main drag and away from the crowds. The beef pho (pho tai) was delicious, although I prefer my bean sprout garnish raw (I think these were slightly blanched). Partner had a chicken and rice dish that he enjoyed, but can't remember the name. The ginger/pickled carrots that came with it were tasty! The younger offspring declares the bubble tea "really good", which is high praise from them. It's a small place - maybe 10 tables with some outside seating too, but very clean and attractive. Service was prompt and friendly. Parking is a little limited. Although it's not likely we'll be in the area again, we'd definitely come back if we were.

Oasis is a must when you are in Lake George! It's easy on and off 87 exit 22. The food presented is beautiful and tastes fresh. The restaurant is cute inside with vibrant colors. The service is friendly and the bubble tea is amazing! Whether you dine in or order take out you won't be disappointed! I am local and have been going to Oasis for 3 seasons now and Mary is the bestGo see her and enjoy delicious Vietnamese cuisine.

The pho was average but the grilled pork vermicelli looked really different visually from all the other Vietnamese place we've been too. the color of the pork was more yellowish like curry. All the food was just average.

Excellent authentic Vietnamese food. Great pho and banh mi. Excellent tofu banh mi for vegetarians. You have to ask for sriracha if you want it for your pho bc they put Sambol oelek on the tables. Good pho portions. Fast service and the best restaurant in Lake George.

Take out pho noodles/chicken, spring rolls, salad, pork and beef bun

Surprised to find a viet place this far north and happy to pick up takeout on our late drive. While I love the idea of having this option, it definitely didn't live up to my high expectations. That said, I would give them another chance if we need a take out option again, but will call in my order next time. The drawbacks: Ordered online, specified no onions, scallion, cilantro, but that was ignored, and I spent 5 min picking them out of my kids pho noodles. Ordered the cabbage salad, but ended up with all shredded iceberg. The nuoc cham sauce is very bland here, needs more fish sauce/garlic/etc to jazz up everything. Online ordering asked me to pick banh hoi or bun, which got me excited because very few viet places actually have banh hoi. Well, this place doesn't either, as I was given just regular noodles anyway. The pros: The beef was delicious, marinated and rolled, tender and tasty. Kids gave the pho broth two thumbs up. Spring rolls were flavorful and obviously hand rolled.

Bun Chay with added crushed chili hot oil. Delicious!

Lake George has a lot of great restaurants. Pizza. Sandwiches. Italian. Pizza. Sandwiches. Italian. Pancakes. Pizza. Oasis is exactly what its name represents, an oasis to have delicious Vietnamese food. I had the Bun Chay. Tofu, yes tofu! With rice noodles and vegetables. And the best hot sauce. Not just sriracha is available, but also a smokey, crushed chili peppers in oil hot sauce. Amazing! They offer not just vegan and vegetarian, but also meals for normal people. And the place was busy when we picked up our food. This place is a really great find. And if you are visiting town with your family and the annoying family member has to eat vegan, then Oasis is a must. You will enjoy it too with their wide selection of other Vietnamese dishes. So hold off on that next slice and try Oasis.

Not sure if it was intentional or not but the soup tasted not only way too sour but also sweet. Almost like there was balsamic vinegar or a lot of sugar dumped into it and because of that, it was my least favorite item. I did really enjoy my boyfriend's crispy duck dish as it was probably the first time I had a duck dish at an Asian restaurant that didn't come with bones. The curry sauce was really unique and almost tasted like gravy. The actual broth of the wonton soup was tasty but the wontons themselves tasted frozen and doughy. The gentleman owner was extremely polite and courteous when we were placing our order.

This epic tale starts with a Chinese woman with hair curlers, sticking her hand out the front door of the restaurant asking for "Credit CAR!" Several times before my boyfriend finally gave her the phone to speak to me. My boyfriend and I decided that after work, we would celebrate his birthday with some Chinese take out and evening of simple pleasures but this experience takes the cake! After the woman decided to hang up on me once she got my "Credit Car" , my boyfriend grabbed the phone as she shooed him out the door with two large stapled brown mystery bags, and slammed it behind him. "The audacity!" He states. We thought, well with this kind of customer service the food must be amazing... So one could only have dreamt. We go to unbox this unorthodox version of what they call "Chinese food", that smelled and looked as if the garbage disposal regurgitated the previous order. Sadly, the food was such a disappointment the homeless crack head behind the restaraunt would return this monstrosity and shake the dust off his feet. The rice was soggy and was the lowest grade, this is coming from an Asian person, myself. The hunan beef tasted bland, no flavor but oily and possibly an old rubber heel of a shoe. The General Tsao chicken tasted mildly like Palmolive with a touch of spice. The Szechuan dumplings, looked undercooked and smothered in the nearest mud puddle of the street and the sauce didn't taste too far from it. The appetizers were over cooked and the boneless spare ribs was such a disappointment. How can you mess that up, you ask? Easy, overcook it, throw some unknown brown sauce and smother it in aunt Jemima syrup and rub in some old grease. The wonton soup was salty, very salty. What flavor they were trying to cover, I do NOT want to know. If you want a night of diabetes, unknown flavors of possible mop water and pure regret, get your food from Kong Chow Restaurant, which I would said kong CIAO b/c they will never see this cute Asian face again! All brought to you worth $57.75! Food was inedible but worth the bad experience just to share with you!

We had been wanting to try Simone's Kitchen. But their line for service was sooo long and then the likelihood of finding an available table to eat at looked very discouraging. So, my wife suggested we walk two blocks north to Pho Queen. This was a new location since my last review, but it had the same warmth and comfortable high-back chairs from the former location. Overall, the space is not much different in size from the former; it still only seats about 18-20 customers. We were warmly greeted by the sister of the owner/chef who said she was helping her sister out tonight and offered us seating at a table for two in the front window. The menu still lists a variety of both Thai and Vietnamese style dishes, and I think they still do not offer alcoholic beverages. We didn't inquire about beverages as we were satisfied with the tap water provided. I did see a blackboard that listed a variety of bubble teas. One of the specials that we saw listed on the sidewalk sign from our window seating was Curry Puffs ($10). They were something we'd never had before so, of course we had to try them. The dumpling dough was unlike a wonton wrapper, maybe more like an empanada or pierogi wrapper, and the filling was curry with some vegetables like peas and carrots. There were four of them and they were provided with a side sauce similar to a nuoc mam. They were flavorful and quite enjoyable. My wife ordered the Tofu Phad Khuen Chai ($20). The menu description is sautéed fried tofu with bean sprouts, khuen-chai (Chinese celery) caramelized with sugar, fish sauce, and soy sauce. The dish provided also included carrots and green peppers. My wife enjoyed it but also said it could have been more flavorful. My entrée was a total surprise. I had been thinking about ordering the seafood dish, Phad Cha Talay. But decided instead to order the duck dish, Kaeng Phed Ped Yang. When my meal was served by the Chef it was Phad Cha Talay ($26). I had not mentioned to anyone my original thought. We had a good laugh with the Chef and her sister and I insisted on staying with my "first thought." The Phad Cha Talay was delicious with shrimp, scallops, mussels, squid, broccoli, carrots, green peppers, kaffir lime leaves, rice, and a very flavorful sauce. Each seafood was perfectly cooked to perfection, and the white rice provided an excellent opportunity to soak up all that yummy sauce. Looks like we'll have to plan another visit for me to try that duck dish. Hopefully, when a clairvoyant isn't working.
