I do believe that there are certain steps you can take to prevent cross contamination and being able to store things properly in order to prevent contamination. There is also a point I'd like to make how there should be some kind of sign outside or when making a reservation to pronounce on their end that they can't accommodate. At the end of the day I'm disappointed, I almost chose to leave my family, and we all ended up walking out without ordering since they can't accommodate to my allergy. I hope they take steps in the future to prevent cross contamination or pronounce they cannot accommodate to certain allergies before making a reservation.

I actually held off on writing this review until our after our fourth visit to make a fair judgement. Yo Poke is a good option if you're looking for a quick and easy meal. The quality of the fish is on the mid-level of good and the ingredients are typically fresh. As for the store itself, it's kept very clean and there are a several tables and chairs if you choose to sit and eat. We've visited on a few occasions now and the staff has been friendly every single time. The biggest problem lies in consistency. On two out of four visits, we received poke bowls that were so sad looking with 6 or 7 little cubes of fish. On the other two visits, we were served a portion that looks like most other restaurants offer. (I've been BYO poke restaurants in several states). At this point, we watch the person building our bowls getting a tiny half scoop of protein, usually fish, or a full one. It's very interesting to me how the servings can come out so different even though they literally use the same scooper...just fill that tiny little thing up and let's call it a day. To be honest, a full scoop versus a half scoop usually determines a generous tip or a "this is just to be nice" one. The food itself is usually pretty tasty, no complaints on that front. The hummus and sourdough pita was excellent. Fried delicata squash was so good, I made a roasted version for Thanksgiving. My husbands burger was excellent but the house made ketchup was borderline disgusting. It was cold, unflavored tomato sauce. Not so good. I got steak with pasta and my pasta was severely undercooked.
