Popular spot, friendly staff and solid sushi. The two of us came on a Fri night just after 6:30PM and it was going to be an hour wait. We decided to stick it out and it ended up being over an hour before being sat. The seating is a little confusing as it's in both their restaurant and in the coffee shop attached. We started with the Sea Salt Edamame ($7) and it was well prepared. Our roll sushi selections were Black & Yellow ($17), Easy Rider ($18) and Sol ($19). They were all solid with Sol being our favorite. Also enjoyed the Mad Midas Crush IPA ($7) they had on tap. Service from Lucy and the entire staff was super friendly!

Every time I'm in town visiting my boyfriend we come eat here. I have taken friends who have visited as well and they are always so impressed! I love the ocean trout!! We always try to sit at the bar and order Omakase. Truly never disappointed and the staff is always so friendly. They just updated their happy hour for the new year as well.

My fiancé and I have been searching for a great sushi spot in the area and we've found it! We sat at the sushi bar and really enjoyed everything we ordered. Started with the edamame with garlic oil & salt. We ordered 3 special rolls which are in the picture below. We also had a spicy salmon and eel roll. All of the sushi was delicious and very fresh! The service was wonderful as well. The waitress was very friendly and gave us great recommendations on food & drinks. The food came out pretty quick even though they were busy. Hooked will definitely be our go to for sushi! Definitely check it out next time you're downtown. You won't be disappointed!

    Entrance from Zocalo

We went to Zocalo for coffee and a quick bite. Everything was great. We decided in the evening to head back tor he Japanese spot next door. We didn't realize Zocalo gets converted to the Japanese restaurant as well. Genius! We did t have a reservation but got seated right away. We had their specials, miso soup, 3 additional roles and the kiddo got mochi ice cream. Everything was delicious! The owner for both places were on point, impressed and enjoyed both. We didn't know we would be visiting the same place twice but so impressed by two different worlds being amazing on quality and execution on everything. Thanks for a great visit and we'll be back when we come back to Yosemite! Thanks for a memorable meal with my family.

I was blown away by the service I received last night. Our servers name was Kelly. She was very knowledgeable about all the dishes, gave us excellent recommendations when we told her what we liked, and she was super attentive as well. She was just the best. Her customer service skills really enhanced our overall experience. Now on to the food!! Delicious!! Kudos to the chef. Everything was fresh and well made! We had a desserts-Mochi which was delicious too!!

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner here - has been consistently great sushi! Staff is very friendly, professional, courteous and attentive to their customers. Truly appreciate being treated like a person rather than just another customer to get a tip from. On the pricier side to eat here. However, he entire experience is worth every penny you'll spend! We each changed up our rolls, and our server didn't get an attitude, as most will when you make any changes. She was wonderful and got everything right - the first time! This is a must visit restaurant if you like sushi. You'll be so glad you did.

Hands down the best sushi in Montana!! Creative rolls and sashimi that accent the Montana lifestyle and the distinct flavors of the fresh seafood they serve. I always have the 'Make it Fancy' sashimi and have never been disappointed. The rotating variety of rolls is always a pleasant treat as well. Pictured here is a 'Make it Fancy' plate of sashimi and two top rolls. The rolls, "Johhny Ringo" is a tempura fried roll filled with spicy ahi, the "Mescalito" is a special treat of grilled shrimp and grilled hamachi that send you straight to a back yard grill in Hawaii!! With an amazing staff, talented chefs and a desire to make every meal the best experience you've ever had, this is the place to be in Bozeman, Montana!! When you visit, ask them to make it fancy and enjoy the surprises these amazing chefs deliver.

Is it currently closed (July 2020)? Made a reservation via yelp but when we went to the restaurant it was closed but no sign on the door. The door still has a sign showing open days/hours and we went during open hours.

The menu was hard to read so I gotta suck it up and carry my glasses. I ordered the yellowtail poke bowl. It was one of the better bowls I have eaten. No I don't recommend this restaurant!…read more I have tried it twice and both time have been miserably disappointed in the service. The price is always surprisingly expensive and generally when the total comes inevitably wrong. Often something we didn't order is added and you have to hassle getting removed from your ticket. The ambiance is lively and fun. However most the staff are standing around at the front in the bar gossiping. It's really annoying to hear them gossiping about guests! Bad Bad Bad manners! They talk too much and don't serve food in a timely manner. To wait an hour and a half is ridiculous. In general, the food preparation is ok. Fresh, but ok. My suggestion would be to dress up the presentation more than just putting it on the plate - it's an art that makes good Sushi special, and this doesn't do it for me! While it's decent, for Montana, it's not west coast Sushi and service staff needs an overhaul. Less gossip, better staff service with attention to the customers order, more timely service, more accurate orders.

The food looks like Korean food, but it does not taste very real or strong. Many dishes feel plain and not very exciting. One thing that stands out is the banchan, which are small side dishes. At most Korean restaurants, these come free with your meal. Here, you have to pay for them as a "flight." This feels strange and not like a true Korean dining experience. The soups are also disappointing. They look good, but the broth does not have much flavor. It tastes weak and a little bland. The tofu in the soup is not very good either. It does not have the soft texture that Korean tofu usually has. The service is fine, and the restaurant is clean and nice enough. But the food is just average. It is not bad, but it is not great either. The other Korean place in town isn't great either but still better.

The food arrived quickly and was warm. The calimari was lightly battered with a good exterior crunchy and a delicious plum like sauce. The green curry with chicken, carrot, zucchini and chopped tomatoes quickly followed. For being a featured dish, I found the green curry bland, watery and lacking flavor. For me curry sauce has a rich coconut milk taste and flavor. The sauce here was loose, and runny. Sweet Chili Asian Bistro has a great location, nice interior decor but the food here is not on par. Trevor was super fun and kept everyone engaged through the whole night while also making sure we were supplied on anything we needed - not to mention he is an impressive force in the kitchen and everything they brought out was great. Maddi was also incredible and made the best mocktails I've ever had (and it's not even close) - each of them was innovative and delicious. It's okay for being the only easily accesible poke shop in town…read more I mean, we keep coming back so it's obviously not terrible but it's also extremely inconsistent. I actually held off on writing this review until our after our fourth visit to make a fair judgement. Yo Poke is a good option if you're looking for a quick and easy meal. The quality of the fish is on the mid-level of good and the ingredients are typically fresh. As for the store itself, it's kept very clean and there are a several tables and chairs if you choose to sit and eat. We've visited on a few occasions now and the staff has been friendly every single time. The biggest problem lies in consistency. On two out of four visits, we received poke bowls that were so sad looking with 6 or 7 little cubes of fish. On the other two visits, we were served a portion that looks like most other restaurants offer. (I've been BYO poke restaurants in several states). At this point, we watch the person building our bowls getting a tiny half scoop of protein, usually fish, or a full one. It's very interesting to me how the servings can come out so different even though they literally use the same scooper...just fill that tiny little thing up and let's call it a day. To be honest, a full scoop versus a half scoop usually determines a generous tip or a "this is just to be nice" one. The food itself is usually pretty tasty, no complaints on that front. Here is one of my favorite BYO combos: + Sushi Rice + Proteins: Tuna & Salmon + Mix-ins: White & Green Onions. + Sauces: Shoyu & Wasabi Mayo. + Sides: Edamame, Surimi Salad, Ginger & Avocado + Toppings: Sesame Oil, Tempura Flakes & Furikake If you try it, let me know what you think! Oh, one more thing! Don't try to order from GrubHub. I've tried to order delivery 3 times and my order was delayed by more than 2 hours every single time before it got canceled!

The look is nothing special, but it does seem to be appropriate for this kind of restaurant. The food was remarkably medium. I would have liked to see some suggested poke bowls on the menu rather than leaving my bowl to my suggestions. The fish seemed pretty fresh, and the vegetables were crisp. While it wasn't bad, it didn't seem to rise to "good" either. I also had the miso soup, which was lukewarm and came from a machine (it looked like the hot chocolate machines that were once ubiquitous). It had no particular taste and featured lumps of tofu and a garnish of wakame. The soup wasn't even medium, and having it served in disposable bowls with plastic spoons made it less apealing. At $26, this meal wasn't worth it. Of course, the management has the payment device throwing on tip options so that you can tip a staff that looks inconvenienced by your presence and well before you taste the food (sorry, this is stupid tipping). This place needs some quality control on the food, better ideas for bowls, and a little bit of joy from the employees. An expensive downer.
