The Nail Techs listen and accommodate my needs and I am always very satisfied with their work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tina checks on her customers as services are being performed to make sure they are happy with the job the Tech is doing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've seen very few rude/unhappy customers in the last 4 years but overall, this is a rare event.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've not ever felt rushed and understand when I ask for "extras", there is an extra cost involved. My suggestion to some of these patrons is to confirm the price - more than once - to ensure language barrier is not an issue and they become disappointed. Let me leave a more thorough review because I fell short on my google review. On 2/6 I got a full set. They don't look bad and the color was pretty. $65 was a little more than I expected but it's fine, like I said I had no complaints. I went back in on 2/11 just to get a color change. I had the cat eye coloring and I liked it but I was going to the beach so I thought I would go from green to a pink. The guy that was working on my nails used the tools to sand off the color and he did use that tool to do some reshaping. After he'd that I noticed they looked much more natural. I hadn't noticed it before and did not ask for it. He did not add anything to my nails, he did not fix anything. The only thing that was needed was a color change. The sweet lady said it would be $5. I was charged $45. I didn't realize until after I was long gone that it was so much. I didn't receive additional gel or powder or anything. If I had known the cat eye coloring was going to cost $45 to change I wouldn't have done it. The very next day two of my nails have popped off and I have had to glue them back on. I used to love going here, and if I could find my positive review, I would delete it. i went here to get french tips and they absolutely suck i'm gonna have to paint over my nails! the lady nicked me on every finger with the electric file and i probably could've did a better job at painting them! i paid $90 and they aren't even cute when the listed price for acrylic was $55 definitely a waste of money not coming back! Went to OBKY Nails for first time over 2 months ago. While it was a nice atmosphere, and the people were friendly, the nail tech who did my nails had only been there for a couple of weeks and had one of the other nail techs watching his every move as he worked. I wanted a simple manicure, but he tried some new dipping in powder process after filing and buffing my nails down. This did not bother me so much until later. In the shop, the nails looked nice. But in the daylight, there were several imperfections. Still, not the worst outcome. I get it - some people are new at what they do. However, as time went by, my nails did what nails do, they grew out, and when they did, I was not happy. Three of my nail beds looked discolored, and now those nails are dying off. My friend and I went here and the results were awful. we both got Halloween designs and they weren't that difficult. They ​came out looking so bad that we had to go over everything in black. And they still had me pay full price as if we kept the design. They got pushy as we told them our complaints and kept telling us that the designs were great even though they weren't good at all. read more

New to the area, I called for a mani/pedi. I called several times during business hours and nobody answered. Finally, a rude man answered but refused to give me an appointment because my number was private. He demanded I call back from an unblocked number and then he would talk to me. Wish I could give them 0 stars. Here is my list of issues I with my gel pedicure: 1. no solution in the water. 2. All tools came from a bucket that looked dirty. 2. The lady nicked my cuticles multiple times and I let her know that she was being too rough. 3. For some reason she didn't use a cuticle pusher she used a hard sponge to push back my cuticles. 4. The alcohol burned my cuticles so bad because of how many times I had been nicked. 5. She kept messing up with the polish and having to use a dirty nail art brush to clean up some of the mistakes. 6. She got nail polish on the top of my foot and first tried to use a cuticle pusher to scrape it off my skin. That obviously didn't work so it stayed on there until the pedicure was done and I had to say "can you take the nail polish off the top of my foot" SO SHE LITERALLY USED A FINGERNAIL FILE ON THE TOP OF MY FOOT TO GET THE NAIL POLISH OFF and I said "can you use some nail polish remover?" and she didn't 7. Once the top coat was dried she filed around my toes and scrapped my cuticles again and it really hurt this time so I said something. She then started shushing me and putting her pointer finger to her mouth so that the other people waiting for a pedicure didn't hear me. 8. I go to pay for my gel pedicure and it was $60 so I go to pay and the lady says "you don't have a check?" and I said "no, no one uses checks anymore" and handed her my credit card. 9. While she running my card I look at my toes and I have polish all over the back side of my toe nails and I say "is this the quality of a $60 pedicure????" and then the manager took some remover and cleaned it up I would've never gone but Nail Expo was closed. So, the nail tech burned my fingers twice and when I flinched he got upset, jumped up, told me I was being difficult and tells me to leave the salon. He started talking to the older gentleman and the older man told me "he said he will not touch you! He doesn't want to do your nails. You come back monday to have someone else do them! You must leave now!..... On top of that, I had to wait an hour just to be seen and the man I got was rude, unprofessional and kept getting up to walk out the back door. I have been to the salon multiple times and have received many services including: manicures with shellac and dip and pedicures with shellac and regular polish. the manicures with dip are my favorite because they strengthen and thicken my nail. I like the shellac too, but the dip lasts a lot longer. Mimi is who does my nails. she is very good and nice. the men are more pushy and want you to get the best and most expensive option, but if you know what you want, they will listen. the pedicures with shellac last a very long time. I like the pedicures, they are expensive, but are worth it. they massage, use hot towels, grate the dead skin off, lotion, and soak your feet. I have attached my favorite and most recent dip set that Mimi did on my fingernails and a shellac set of toes that match that one of the men did. the only bad thing about the salon is the wait. there can be a long one, but not usually if you get there super early. the prices are typical, the people are friendly, and the salon is clean. TERRIBLE- Went in with my niece and daughter, we all wanted a full acrylic set. We waited 45 min which would have been fine if the man who greeted us didn't spend our entire wait time trying to convince my teen daughter and niece that they actually wanted dip powder for an additional $10 each instead of the acrylic sets we asked for. REPEATEDLY told him we just want acrylic. In the meantime another customer they just finished is asking the man why he is charging her $50 when she got regular polish, she even brings the white polish back over to him and shows him its regular polish and he notifies her he was confused and used gel because it is 'better' so she is required to pay the additional money as her nails are already done. Finally we are seated and told it will be $35 per set and $5 more for mine because I want longer nails. I do nail art so my niece and I decide we don't want polish just the full set as I would polish our nails at home, after. They ask my niece and daughter what shape they want and inform both of them they will have to pay more because they chose coffin shape nails. They finally finish my nails and advise me I will need to pay $10 extra instead of the $5 at $45 which would have been fine if EVERY single one of my nails wasn't crooked and pointing in different directions with so many brush strokes and lumps I couldn't even paint them. I tried filing them into a different shape when I got home and realized how bad they were and they are SO crooked I can't even fix them by filing one side. $45 straight down the drain. Judging from how they treated the girl ahead of me who disputed being overcharged, I doubt they would care or take ownership for the horrible job they did even if I had said something. I came in to have dip color redone. Im placed over a bowl of acetone for well over 20 minutes. I started to get a headache and the chemicals were making my fingers burn, it felt like I had them in hot water. so I took them out, I figured someone would come get me eventually as the dip was already falling off. I never got up or coMelanie's mind you.....one guy by me told me to rub on it and gave me a paper towel so some other guy came over and said if I didn't put my fingers in the bowl they couldn't do my nails. so I left I've had my nails done many times before, I've never had anyone do this.
