You ever stop at some little hole-in-the-wall place and it's so unassuming, but if you're a foodie, you can tell by the smell of something cooking, fully-stocked fridge, array of products (high-quality oils and vinegars, local jams, a display case of fresh-made sandwiches and meats and cheeses, house-made baked goods)--you know you're in a good place. Go here. Support this local spot. The food is perfect. Salads--potato, tortellini, Cobb--deviled eggs that looked delectable (which is hard to do!), parfaits, pies, cookies, everything looked fresh and car-friendly, as we were driving back to Denver from our Grand Teton trip. I got the sugar cookie. It's massive. Like a big, flat disc. That's my favorite kind. It's just what I wanted. The "Peak" sandwich has pastrami (yay! New Yorker here) with Swiss, THIN red onions (the way to do it), tomato, and horseradish on side so that the bread doesn't get soggy. Stop here. UPDATE: This review is for the BIG PINEY location. This was our chosen gas stop en route up to the Tetons area. We were pleasantly impressed with the market and deli. What a sweet shop for the locals and the travelers. It has a country store vibe. The ladies were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting outside to eat the pizza we purchased. And we look forward to eating the cheesecake later. The gas was the best priced around which was a bonus. The only drawback was that the internet was down so it was cash only. After driving a good 6 hours home to Colorado from Idaho, my husband and I found our tummies grumbling. Both craving a sandwich, we settled on Obo's (because Subway sucks) and were pleasantly surprised with our experience - here's why! ++ Obo's is both a meat market, deli and store all in one - offering everything your heart could desire. I settled on the Italian which was piled high with allllll the meats, cheese, hot peppers and drizzled with balsamic dressing on a massive house made bun, while my husband settled on the traditional ham sammie which was just as delicious! I was far too hungry to take a picture of mine, so a picture of my husbands will suffice! ++ Although more expensive, you get what you pay for. The quality of meat supersedes everything in the area, as they freshly cut the meat on the spot for each sandwich. YUM! +/- The service in the deli was pretty harsh. Although the women behind the counter were busy and made their way through the line of customers, they were NOT friendly. The woman who greeted us just starred our way and then said "what do you want!" with a frown on her face. We quickly ordered and got out of the way, which proved to be a good decision. Having worked in the service industry, I get being in the weeds, but being nice goes along way. - No one, I repeat, no staff members in the deli were wearing masks or abiding by any social distancing. Even most guests who were waiting in line to pay weren't wearing masks, which is bonkers to me. Only the cashiers wore masks and one made a polite comment to my husband and me as we were the only customers rocking them. Yikes! We love OBOs. We love the breakfast burritos and the deli has some awesome picks. Great place for a snack or lunch. This is an upper scale convenience store that we love to swing by before a day skiing at white pine. Also has a few fun gift shop items. If I could rate the service a 0 i would. The food is great and the girls behind the counter a hit or miss... there is one girl that works in the afternoon or mid day VERY kind... but I called in and asked for the Manager and I knew I got the girl that I encountered and the two girls that were at the register were extremely rude...she said they feed off the cst energy... no matter what in a customer service job you should always treat the customer the way you would want to be treated... when i went back into the store the girl just brushed me off... i answered her questions and then i just said i would go someplace else so she gave me my money back.... Even on the phone call she did not want to listen, she just wanted to talk over me and continue to be rude... She said I was in the wrong and that I did not answer her questions, which I did.... They must be busy and that is great but ppl that come in are the ones that keep the business going... I am sorry for my part and if she felt that i was mean or whatever they should never go off that person's energy... she does not know what one may have gone through prior to coming in to the store... For a gas station restaurant and deli meat market, this was a total shock. Really good deli, grass fed beef, fantastic sandwiches, healthy options. We got there just after breakfast and just had to order lunch. The family reviews were in the moan range. Oh yeah, and the gas is cheap. This market is so cozy on the inside and the building is entirely built with logs, making it look really nice. The market has fresh food, restrooms, and a huge selection of snacks and food items. They even have cauliflower pizza and halo top (which was surprising). The lady at the counter was extremely friendly and helpful and asked us if we needed any help. Good find in Pinedale. I would have driven right by if it wasn't for Yelp. At first it appeared the Deli was empty except for a few sandwiches that were wrapped up in the case, But I looked behind the counter and there was someone working. I ordered the "Steve" based on the employees recommendation. Service was pretty quick. I paid for my sandwich and was at first planning to sit outside as they have dog friendly seating. It consisted of two tables outside and against the building. I decided to drive south of town a ways until I got to a roadside table. It was a little more relaxing. The sandwich was great. Great store right up mine and my husband alley. We stoped to get us a little picnic items super excited that they had our dried sausage we love. But when I found mold in the olives they sell behind the counter you would of thought I was from Mars. No kind of Coustomer service. They acted as if they were mad that I had noticed the mold. Driving through Pinedale we stopped at Obo's deli for lunch. I had a sandwich called The Steve - corned beef, bacon, banana peppers, Swiss, and1000 island dressing on rye...amazing. Hubby had The Tom - turkey, smoked cheddar cheese, guacamole, bacon, lettuce, & tomato...delicious. They have all kinds of sandwiches and also offer salads and soups. Quick and easy. Anyone worth their salt in the food industry knows, you do not eat while preparing customers food! Secondly, you do not put your hands to your mouth, eat, then simply wash your hands without changing your latex gloves before continuing to make the sandwich! If you are eating, you shouldn't be in the damn kitchen! Eat, then wash your hands and come back to work! Why would you rinse your hands after you ate a bite, and then go back to making a sandwich?! Take the damn gloves off, put new ones on and THEN, go back to making sandwiches. Saw two women eating either while making sandwiches or preparing food! First time visiting Pinedale. My family came in to grab some food to take for lunch while on a fishing trip to Soda Lake. I ordered the turkey sandwich with cranberries and pesto. I even asked for some lettuce and tomatoes to be added. After arriving to the lake and hungry for lunch I began eating my sandwich. I thought this is strange but took another bite. Then I opened the sandwich and what did I find?!? Or should I say what did I not find...TURKEY! I paid $8 for a cranberry sandwich! Needless to say I only had a bag of chips for lunch. My dad never ate his sandwich (so pastrami sandwich might be good ‍ and my daughter took one bite of her Mac and cheese and didn't like it. My husband had a hot dog and apparently is was ok. Of course he added all his condiments himself before we left and put it in the cooler. He ate one bite of his tater tots and said they didn't taste good. I wish we had gone over to Ridleys instead! I guess the lesson here is try everything before you leave! read more

Usually I get pretty good service when I go in there but yesterday there were two girls working at the cash register, and I had taken my lottery tickets in there and was trying to tell the one girl at the register that I wanted a combo which is about 11 -$12 and she just kind of ignored me , and printed it the 3 i gave her minus the last one yup make a combo, and then the other girl on the register came over and said do you want the other one to go with it I said sure, but I said I would have rather had the combo and then the next thing you know this girl with the black hair-- not the blonde one printed out a combo Lottery and I ended up paying $22 for all my lottery tickets when it should have only been 12 or 13 dollars. So they weren't even listening to what I had to say but the one with the black hair tried arguing with me, and I was really upset and mad when I left out of there. If they're not going to listen to what you have to say and just continue doing what they're doing then they need more training. The guy that usually on the register he knows exactly what to do when I tell him that I want a combo but these two girls they went beyond and I ended up paying more money that I wanted to, because first of all that's all the money I had with me until I get paid so they made some money yesterday! But I do know if I win the lottery I'm leaving these two out I know it sounds sad but I'd rather give it to the guy that knows how to listen at the register!! read more
