This little market was so sweet and helpful. I was staying on Pearl Street, a very special name. It's the name of my mother's street growing up. Everything on Pearl seems to be good! I loved coming here the whole time of my stay because it was easy to get quick salads, meals and little items. I also came here for some allergy medication as well. Allergies have been horrible this summer. This little market was very convenient and of course it's in Jackson hole so of course it's going to be expensive like everything here but that doesn't take away from the convenience and availability of items. The people working here were extremely polite except for one big, brown guy the last day, who stared me up and down and couldn't bother putting my items into my shopping bag that I brought with me. Prices a bit on the higher end for their food and the deli also happened to be closed when we came here today on our way to Grand Teton but overall the soup was pretty delicious and my family enjoyed the portion sizes we got. The service at the counter is good and the air conditioning + seating is also pretty great. Definitely a good place to get lunch if you are stopping through Jackson Hole! read more

When I was visiting Jackson, this grocery store was across the street from my hotel. I walked over here a few times to pick up some snacks and drinks. Pearl Street Market is a locally-owned and operated grocery store and deli in Jackson. It is walking distance from the city town square. The store itself is somewhat small, but has almost anything you need on hand. I probably wouldn't do a full grocery shopping experience here at Pearl St Market. They are a little pricey. But they do have a lot of good grab-n-go stuff. The store itself is very clean and organized. read more

[1058] 12/2019 This corner local market was a nice find. It's located close to the center of town. The groceries are a bit higher then I am used to. The middle and back section has prepared foods which are really tasty and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the items we purchased (soup, chicken tenders and chicken torta). It seems like people compare this store to Whole Foods but to me it was more like (an even more expensive version of) Seattle's Metropolitan Market or PCC. I'm not surprised people who don't live in the Seattle area don't know about those stores, though. My shopping list: laundry detergent (the machine at our hotel was broken), a little prepared food, and something gluten-free. Their selection was pretty limited and the items seemed more expensive than they are in Seattle (note: I frequently shop at PCC, Met Market, and Whole Foods) but I was glad I was able to find everything I wanted/needed. From the prepared food area I ended up grabbing a colorful fingerling potato "salad" and the watermelon + heirloom tomato salad (uploaded a photo to the business page). It is a small store with many of the essentials needed, with an organic focus. There are some good prepackaged foods available for take away, meats, cheeses, and bread. The deli part of the store seems to only be open during the lunch hour. What did I learn today? The best pepperoni in Boar's head. Not sold here. read more

We bought food items at Pearl's Market. Then we walk to the corner street to take a picture. When we return to our car parked in front of Pearl's Market, we saw our driver's side widow had a 6"X4" sticker stating we couldn't park in the spaces there (the parking lot was 3/4 empty). We couldn't remove the sticker and had to drive to an Ace store to buy materials to remove the sticker. read more

This was a really nice shop. It hosted many local items and since we are from out of town, we were excited about this. We got a bunch of items to go including some local bakery items and some fresh fruit. The people in the store were really nice, it made me pretty happy that everyone seems to be in a good mood here. I would say that this is more of an artisional grocery store, I'm not sure if that's completely accurate but they had either high end items or local items that I think are better than more name brands. I wish more stores like this existed and I hope that the people come in and support this amazing business. read more

Just OK Lunch today. Maybe it was an off-day, or maybe things are just ok here. We came in here the other night hoping to get take-out sandwiches for dinner, but the counter in the back is apparently only open for lunch. So, we decided to give them another try today for lunch. My wife ordered the Cranberry Turkey sandwich, and I ordered a burger and fries. Both of our lunches were adequate, but neither were good enough to bump this review up to four stars. When I ordered my burger I requested that it come with no onions, and with lettuce and tomato (plus whatever else they normally put on a burger). What I received was a burger with lots of onion, and no lettuce and no tomato. That's ok though, because I'm not that picky, so I just pulled the onions off and dove right in. The next thing I noticed was the massive amount of meat on the burger. They said it was a 1/2 pound patty, but this looked more like a 3/4 pound patty. For me, I'm not a "bigger is better" sort of person when it comes to burgers, and I'm often disappointed by massive-patty burgers. The meat was nicely flavored, but I prefer to have a burger where the meat flavor combines with the other elements of the burger, rather than overwhelm the eater with beef overload. My wife noted that while the Cranberry Turkey sandwich had great turkey meat, it had a very minimal amount of cranberry. We both feel that cranberry should be applied liberally to turkey sandwiches for optimal deliciousness. On the plus side, the fries were delicious. Perfectly cooked, and nicely salted. This place will rob ya blind. The "fresh" (baloney - that salmon is a frozen plank) fish and seafood, that if you ask me, looks quite unappetizing, is jaw dropping expensive (uhhhh $33 per pound of Chilean Sea Bass - WTF!). The meat is also quite expensive, and it's not even 100% grass-fed! Whole Grocer down the street has beautiful fish, seafood and meats, for 1/2 the price that look drool-worthy. While the prepared food looks good (and it is pretty good, I will give Pearl St Market that much), the prices give me a stomach ache... Yet they don't sell anti-acids here (If they did, those too would be overpriced). My advice is to either hit up Whole Grocer (they have prepared foods too) or just go out to dinner if you're visiting Jackson. There are some delicious restaurants around town... Ahem... Snake River Grill... That are far more worth your last two month's paycheck then this establishment. Lower your prices Pearl St. Market and perhaps you will have a fan out of me, but for now, I will hold on tight to my wallet. read more

COVID Review... Of all the places we tried in Jackson on our trip this was my favorite. Just the right speed, just the right spacing and wonderful food. This is a market along with a cafe on the side. I believe the cafe is only open for lunch as tried to come back for dinner and couldn't get in. The menu is diverse! Everything from sandwiches, burgers to Banh Mi! Had both the burger and the Banh Mi. Burger was juicy and huge! Not over done. The Banh Mi was the family favorite. We ended up ordering seconds as the kids were fighting over it. What a fun concept. Drinks were really just bottles from the cooler but you could choose what you wanted. They were encouraging masks and the food was reasonably quick. They did forget our side order of fries but promptly corrected that without any questions. They have dedicated parking on a private lot but located 1 block off the main street parking is much easier. Try this place to get provisions and sandwiches before venturing into the park or just for fun! read more

There's something to be said about a place where you can order a hot sandwich.... let said sandwich sit out for approximately 3 hours, eat it and still think it was fantastically delicious. Why would you do this, you may ask? Airport picnic in Idaho of course. But I digress, I came here to pick up some lunch on the way to the airport since my friends and I were not really hungry, but knew we would be once we arrived in Idaho Falls (and we didn't want Arby's). The place itself is an upscale market with all kinds of interesting fancy products. They have many sandwiches available, hot and cold, which they make fresh to order. I ordered the steak sandwich with the chipotle sauce... this thing was sooo good. The steak was tender, it was cheesy, but not overly cheesy, the sauce had great flavor and a hint of spice, the bread was a nice consistency... it was worth the 10$ it cost. The market has a nice selection of grocery items, albeit it at a higher price point than traditional grocers, as well as freshly made salads, hot and cold sandwiches, soups and such. They offer fresh made-to-order deli sandwiches (when the deli is open) as well as an assortment of 'grab-n-go' items. Definitely a great alternative to the plethora of bars and grills in Jackson and very convenient if you're staying downtown. read more

This is just a review of the butcher shop. We bought around 4 pounds of rib eye steaks for a dinner party, choosing Pearl St. after calling around a few places. The butcher told us they had prime-grade beef, 30-day dry-aged, raised and finished at a Wyoming ranch of high repute. I was happy that they kept the meat as whole sub-primals and cut it to order. But I was confused that it was packed in what looked like cryovac, and was pretty bright pink--what you'd expect from supermarket-grade wet-aged beef. But the butcher assured me it was dry-aged, and the price was perfectly reasonable. In the end, none of us tasted any aged flavors at all. The beef was decent, but tasted more like the standard wet-aged "certified angus" beef you'd get from a supermarket. One of our guests was a longtime Jackson Hole local, who said she felt the beef at Pearl St. used to be better. I wouldn't be complaining if it hadn't been for all the hype. If they'd just said they had un-aged prime/choice rib-eye for $27/lb, it would probably still have been the best thing going in the valley and we'd have been happy enough. But they oversold, assuming we wouldn't know the difference. There was also the issue of attitude. The butcher was extremely prickly, and at one point actually said, "don't tell me how to do my job." Well, in the food world, the cook gets to tell the butcher how to do his job. I don't know what fantasy world this butcher was from. read more

The more I go to Pearl Street, the more I enjoy their hot subs. I usually dont find much enticing here except their hot sandwhiches. The only place Ive found a Bahn MI so far in JH. When im looking for quick and easy on my way to Teton Village, creekside and Pearl street are my go toos. read more

Gosh, I hate to do this...as a long time local, I have seen the many iterations/names this little market has gone through...from fabulous to dismal and back again. Recently (April? During Covid19) I got a prepackaged kale beet salad I thought was excellent, and though pricey it was definitely two portions worth. Today I was craving mac and cheese but in a hurry, so was delighted to find a grab and go option in their case, and chose that instead of ordering from one of the local restaurants. Unfortunately it was AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL -- possibly the worst mac and cheese I've ever had. Basically a teeny tiny amount of cheese over pasta pieces (not creamy at all) covered in massive amounts of plain panko crumbs. Seriously, how hard can it be to produce even a mediocre takeout mac and cheese??? Bleeecccchhhh.... read more

Had a burger and a pork sandwich here at lunch time. Food was better than I expected and the service was fast and good.

The selection of beautiful quality foods is really excellent at this market, and I loved perusing the shelves. The staff however, completely ruined my experience there. I waited for several minutes to order at the cheese counter while three staff members chatted and wiped off counters, when I finally asked if I could please get some service for cheese I was greeted with the rudest and most confrontational service I've ever had. The staff member who reluctantly left their conversation to help me cut double to weight of each item I asked for, meaning I was left buying $60 worth of cheese when all I needed was a few small pieces to make a snack plate. When I asked about the weight she walked off out the back and never returned. What a shame that a place with so much to offer has staff that are so incredibly rude. I understand that in tourist towns there is an attitude for out-of-towners, but this was so over the top. Customers pay your salary, and if they're only requesting service it's never justified to behave in such a way. I will never go back, and will tell friends who live in town to avoid this place. After a long morning of hiking around Jenny Lake, this girl worked up an appetite. I wanted something inexpensive and tasty, so I settled on this place. They have a dedicated parking lot, so parking the enormous mini van the rental company gave me was a piece of cake. I got there about 1pm and the place was steady with customers, but not busy. It's a bit confusing when you walk in, but you order your food at the punter behind the register. I ordered "The Pearl" sandwich. After about 5 minutes, my sandwich was delivered to my table. It was delicious! The meat was super tender and the grilled onions were the perfect compliment to it. I was worried about the amount of mushrooms that was going to be in it (I hate mushrooms!), but they were cut small so I didn't even really notice they were there. Yum yum yum. Maybe next time I'll try some of the delicious looking desserts they have in the case. read more
