Ya could say I hit the Bullseye when I found BowDoc ; )…read more I took the Thursday night archery intro class and it was awesome. I've never touched a bow in my life but I was totally comfortable with everything as it was taught and presented. We got to shoot so much during the class and we also got to stay after class as long as we wanted until the range closed to keep shooting. I loved it. Fyi: The Intro class was only $20 & it's only $15 for open range including renting a bow. And you can stay as long as you want. The people are so friendly, welcoming, and inclusive. I love that there are so many women involved. Apparently women are badass archers! I've been back to shoot now at the open range and there seem to be no egos; there's a great supportive vibe. Everyone just has fun while focusing on honing their skill at this really addictive sport. The archery shop has a good selection, lots of bows, arrows, targets, all kinds of stuff. I asked about getting set up with a new bow and what I like is that they were very honest about the cost of getting started, they didn't try to up sell me or give me the hard sell like so many places would've have since I'm 1) obviously super eager & 2) relatively clueless about archery. The shop is set in a tricky to find place the first time, for me at least. It's set behind a storage unit place. There's a long driveway but you just go past the storages/garages, there is at least one sign (a burma shave/garage sale style sign) that says Archery with an arrow towards the shop. And the shop is easy to see on the left once you drive by the storages & other businesses. Parking is easy. Tl;dr: I feel safe and welcome at BowDoc. :o)

It's a small shop staff wise so you may have to wait a bit sometimes if there's lots of customers in the but any wait is worth the expert personal service you receive. Still shooting my Hoyt Vectrix that I bought her years ago and I can still punch through deer out to 40 yards (my limit). This is my 2022 buck shot with the Hoyt, Gold tip arrows, QAD rest and trophy ridge 5 pin sight all set up by Jon himself. NEVER shop for bows anywhere else! Good luck out there!

I have been stopping into Little Jon's Archery since 2013, so this is a review on my culmination of…read morevisits. In 2013, I decided that it was time to upgrade my bow. I had been shooting an old Mathews that I had been using for about 10+ years. Knowing that I was going to need a bow that had a longer draw length (I am 6'5") I did some research before I arrived. The staff is knowledgeable at Little Jon's but I think it's really a good idea to look at what they carry and do some research before you go in to pick a bow and shoot them. I was between a Mathews and a Bowtech. I ended up going with a Bowtech Experience. The owner was very helpful with assisting me select a bow and answered any questions I had. I was unsure on what brands and types of accessories I wanted. Although I had a general idea of what I wanted, I didn't have anything set in stone. The team was very helpful with selecting a sight (5-pin), arrow rest and arrows. I picked out my quiver and stabilizer without any assistance. When my bow was put together it was paper tuned to select the best arrow for the bow. Coincidentally the arrow that was the best was also one of the most expensive, Gold Tip. If I had to do it again, I would go with less expensive arrows. Since I am not going out West and attempting 70 yard shots, I believe that a less-expensive (not cheap though) arrow would work just fine on whitetail and turkey at 20-50 yards. This is the set-up I ended up going with: Bowtech Experience, AXT Headhunter 5-pin sight, Trophy Taker Smackdown drop away arrow rest, Trophy Ridge Stabilizer, Fuse quiver, Gold Tip arrows and Dirt Nap Gear D.R.T broadheads (not sold in their store). All together my set up was around $1,500 for everything. I have been back with my bow several times and the staff are always willing to help out and answer questions, but sometimes it takes a while to get help. On a couple of occasions I have waited 30 min to an hour to be helped. But that's if you are going during the busy time of the year (also those that help you in the store are most of the times the ones working on bows) Little Jon's also has an outdoor range that I have used as well as video archery. If you are looking for some very personal help and years of experience (owner) you should go to Little Jon's. I got tired of being helped at the big box stores by employees that knew less than I did. Check them out!

( although I guess it gets pretty crowded because by the time we were done and out people were waiting for Parking spaces) 2. Friendly friendly staff! They were so patient and funny and eager to answer any questions. They greet u by the door with a welcoming "hello!". 3. Affordable. $27/ person if 5 or more people in a group and $35/ person if 4 or less people. (Not sure if these prices are higher for a party because some of the other reviews say different.) 4. Have fun!! That's one of their biggest rules! 5. We got to keep out bullseye sheet thingy! -like others have said its in a warehouse-type building and u have to ring bell to get in. It's located right next to a puppy food store. (I don't have a pet but I suggest checking it out after archery because some of the products are so funny and cute) -when u walk in they'll instruct u to sign in and sign a waiver. Coat hanger available upon walking in -they take only cash or check so have these ready! - they don't have a phone. ALL contact is via email or walk-in so make sure to book appointments in advance Have fun!! My party and I sure did! Far exceeded our expectations! Can't wait to go back!
