The service was great I called on a wed evening and my car was being seen on Thur morning. I went in for what I thought was a broken A/C blower which is around $350 bucks to replace. OC Auntomotive and Diagnostic had my car for about an hour and gave me a call saying my car was done. And that it wasn't the AC blower because I had changed my car battery a couple days prior and that threw off my calibration. All I paid for was the diagnostic. Called this shop to get a quote for a basic oil change on my Jeep Wrangler and was honestly surprised when they came in about $100 higher than the dealership. When I asked why it was so high, they mentioned it included some kind of "warranty" with the oil change. That didn't really make sense to me for such a standard service and felt more like an upsell than actual value. I'm all for paying a fair price for good work, but for something as routine as an oil change, I expected pricing to be at least competitive with a dealership...not significantly higher. Anthony and his team do amazing work. I have been going to them a little over a year to service my vehicle and other small repairs. They're very transparent about pricing and will fix issues if it is their fault. Earlier in the year I had an issue where my car started to overheat as I left the shop and they came to my home and brought coolant and were able to drive it back to the shop and diagnose the issue and fix it. They were willing to reimburse me if I had to get a rental car, but luckily were able to figure out the cause that same day. Jose is always very helpful and easy to talk to. He's dropped me off home a couple of times from the shop. Gabriel is very direct and transparent about pricing. They are very on top of what they do. I brought my car to OC Automotive Diagnostic to repair a busted headlight lens. From the start, the experience wasn't great--the front desk staff had a dismissive attitude when I first dropped off my car, which already gave me a bad impression. After the repair, I noticed that my headlights were dim while driving at night. When I checked under the hood, I found that one bulb wasn't plugged in correctly and the other wasn't installed at all. It's frustrating to deal with this kind of sloppy, careless work, especially on something as important as lighting for nighttime driving. Between the poor quality of the repair and the lack of professionalism at the front desk, I won't be returning and can't recommend this place to others. read more

I appreciated how kind and pleasant the manager and workers were during my visit. However, I was disappointed with the overall cost of the service. I only needed an oil change and a tire-pressure check, but the total came out to $120. At my previous shop in Fullerton, I usually paid around $80 for the same service, so the difference was surprising. I also noticed a charge for rags and gloves, which didn't make much sense to me. While I chose this place because of its high Yelp ratings, the pricing just wasn't a good fit for me. I'll be returning to my original shop in the next town over for future services.. read more

Have had multiple services done here through OC automotive, am always happy with the quality of service when Anthony helps us. However, we will not go back due to Gabriel being constantly rude and unhelpful in person and over the phone. We came here because of the high reviews and we were very disappointed. We were given a price for for a headlight replacement that was over $1500 that we agreed to get fixed then get a call that another piece they need will be about $100 and we agree to that. We finally go pick up our truck and both of the wheel moldings have big gaps and we're not put back together correctly. They said that's how we took it in. Lies! But I guess that's the kind of work they want to be known for. They then charged another $40 for $10 clips to put in the clips they broke. We will never go back! Beware! Highly recommend Orange County Automotive and diagnostics. It was the best experience I have had trusting my Jeep to a mechanic in years. They were able to find and fix a problem that I've struggled with for 2 years and had 2 other mechanics fail to fix- and paid them less to fix it than I paid to each of the others not to fix it. Anthony, Jacob, and the guys were great! I used RepairPal to reach out to several repair shops to get an estimate to remove and replace wheel stud and stripped lug nut on my Civic. OC Automotive & Diagnostics provided an honest price for the parts and labor that couldn't be beat by the other estimates I had received. My appointment was scheduled for 9 a.m. on a Monday morning. I got to their shop early and turned over my keys as soon as they had their bays open. I was pleasantly surprised by their comfy customer lounge area. It smelled of freshly spritzed air freshener. There was also counter with a variety of Keurig coffees and teas available, and small bags of cookies too. After about 45 minutes, I got a text message with a link to their electronic courtesy inspection. I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't know that it was included with my work order. Their report included pictures of various checklist items such as oil level on the dipstick, tire treads, brake wear, brake fluid, front & rear suspension, and air filters to name a few. It's a good reminder that some of these items are not DIY. So, I will be returning in the future to take care of some of those items. I also got a discount for a Yelp check in and paying in cash. The shop will add a service charge to the bill for using electronic payment. It was very nice to receive a follow up text from Anthony asking if I was happy with their work. I can't recall ever receiving this level of customer service from any repair shop. Go see these guys for your vehicle repairs. read more

I thought the OC Automotive would be cheaper than the dealership, but here is how the costs compared: OC Automotive and Diagnostics: - diagnostic fee: $450+ - estimate for fixing my vehicle: $5000+ - length of diagnostics and tests: ~4 days Dealership - diagnostic fee: $220 - estimate for fixing my vehicle: $0 - length of diagnostics and tests: 1 day OC Automotive is great at being transparent and keeping me informed on what's going on, which I loved, but ultimately they were not able to fix my car or come up with the most efficient solution, which led me to get a second opinion at the dealership. As you get older you start to realize you need a few things that are sure bets. A great hole-in-the-wall restaurant, a financial advisor you can trust, and your own mechanic. I've lived in Whittier for 4 years now and though I have a mechanic he's far from where I live. So based on the recommendation of my friend I decided to check O.C. Automotive and Diagnostics out for a tire rotation and oil change. It was a good choice. On The Phone Currently they are taking reservations for service only. I called in and found that you need to reserve a day or two out so if you're expecting service day of that might be difficult. They were friendly on the phone and the questions they asked seem all relevant to what I was trying to get done. In Person When I arrived in person the waiting space was comfortable with both benches and couches to sit in. I knew it was going to take about an hour to get everything done so I brought my own entertainment to keep me busy. The person in the front was friendly and we had a little banter about my car. He seemed to know about cars which is comforting from an automotive shop. He frequently gave me updates when I asked and the hour passed. Post Service When they finished with my car the owner/mechanic came to me to talk about the service they did on my car. They also did an overall inspection and made recommendations of what I should do for future maintenance and what to look out for. They also emailed me all of the info they were sharing with me so that I could take a look at it if I decided to get these things done. There was no selling me anything I didn't want or trying to be hyperbolic with the condition of my car. It was truthful, straight forward, and pleasant. I left feeling satisfied not only with the service on my vehicle but also how I was treated, even as a new customer. If you live in the Whittier/La Mirada/La Habra/Hacienda Heights area I highly recommend checking this place out if you're looking for a mechanic. absolute worst honest diagnostic . recommended a local guy( not recommend) and took it in diagnostic. long story short they found the issue cool for them but the issue they said it would be 1500 extra and so I said no based on price and issue, ( I took it in for a second option at the actual jeep dealership and damn wouldn't you know it, it was 499 with parts. ) Hummmm. ) what a damn shame for you guys. be honest next time and you won't loose business. don't trust these guys. they are out get you for you money. after further talking with Anthony and explaining. I was sent there to have a safety inspection done on my car since I drive for work. The inspection was quite thorough and could have take much longer than it did. I did arrive earlier than my scheduled appointment in hopes I could get in and out to beat traffic back to the LBC where I live. Since I was early the team was still on their lunch break. I assured them I did not want them to cut their lunch short to accommodate me and to please relax and enjoy their meals. The owner, Anthony, would not hear of it. He quickly had me fill out my paperwork and told me he would take care of it himself. And he did. I stepped outside to take a call, and was pleasantly surprised when the call was cut short by Anthony approaching to let me know the inspection was complete and I was free to get going with my day. An added bonus, was he informed me before leaving that my car had passed on all aspects of the inspection and that he had already submitted the findings or lack there of to my employer. I've had my 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe stuck in repair since December 2022 with serious electrical problems,no start, bad ECUs, and immobilizer issues. I went to FIVE different shops between February 2022 and July 2024, and each one either misdiagnosed the issue, charged me for useless repairs, or straight-up refused to work on my car because it was "out of their control." Hello everyone, OMG!!! This guys are awesome. My A/C is working again and cold like I like it. When my A/C went out last year and winter coming I decided to hold on repairing it. Well now the heat is coming and I knew I needed to find out what happened to it. I checked things I could do myself and still not working. So I took it to the only people I know I can trust with my car, O.C AUTOMOTIVE AND DIAGNOSTIC. They did a EVAC DIAGNOSTIC on the A/C system and found out it was only the Compressor. Everything thing else is working good. What I like most about O.C Automotive and Diagnostic is they only but in dealer manufacturing items. I took my car to the dealer just to find out how much and how long it would be. The first thing out of their mouth was, I would need to leave the car for three days. I ask, it would take three days to work on my car. The guys said yes. I told them, thank you but no thank I need my car. (Not to mention the price for the fixing the of it... unbelievable). This why I can only trust the guys at O.C AUTOMOTIVE AND DIAGNOSTIC, they are true to the words. They had my car fixed within a day. (Same day) Please keep in mind that parts from the dealer need to be order. But the owner ANTHONY will be able to assist you with a more understanding with what the s going on your vehicle. WOW!!! 100 'S If I could ! Customer service is AMAZING ! I felt so comfortable here and I felt like they went above and beyond ! My father passed away 5 years ago and he would normally fix whatever the car issue was.
