Although Joe took a couple days to get to my car it was worth the wait as he did a thorough job diagnosing two issues -- even fixing one of them during the diagnostic time. He spent a great deal of time both on the phone and then in person at pick up with me and my son explaining what he felt the issues were. Realistic recommendations with fair pricing but more importantly he didn't try to upsell or create a sense of urgency for something that we all knew wasn't yet at that point. Which is what most other auto shops fail to realize -- how much this pisses off potential customers more than anything. We took the car to Integrity after I was so frustrated with Ford and in a day he fixed it. We took the car back this week believing fully it needed new breaks because of the sound it was making when we applied the breaks. Joe told us the breaks didn't need to be replaced, all it needed was to have some bolts on the breaks replaced. He really lives up to the name of his business. Recently, my opinion of I.A. has changed. I acknowledge that most customers are very satisfied with their repairs, but I must be one of the unlucky few. 23K miles after they replaced my driver's side strut, I started noticing rattling, knocking, and later squeaking sounds, coming from the front driver's side of my car. I took it to Pep Boys, which recommended a lot of things be replaced, including the lower control arms, struts, and front axles. The mechanic even identified the whining noise as being the power steering pump, although I hadn't mentioned it to them. Sure, the report exaggerated the severity of several things, but over the next several weeks, I came to see it was pretty much spot-on. My dad and I replaced the lower control arms and driver's side axle ourselves. The abnormal sounds, along with ride bumpiness, were still present and becoming worse, so we guessed that the driver's side strut needed to be replaced. I called I.A. to check whether it might still be under warranty. Joe said that KYB would warranty the strut itself only if that was indeed the problem. Then he challenged, "What if the problem is actually something else, like the sway bar, the ball joint, [etc.]?" Not sure if that was a rhetorical question, I paused for a second and replied, "You're asking me?" He said, "Yeah." I said, "Yeah, what about them?" To me, it was obvious that if those parts were the problem, they wouldn't be under warranty and I would have to pay to replace those, as well. I don't know if that was what Joe wanted me to say. He said I would have to book ahead of time because they were down one mechanic, who moved to Texas. At first, I was going to bring my car back to them, but then, decided against it because it wouldn't have made sense for me to spend $150/hour (the current labor rate) just to see whether a $200 strut fell under warranty. I asked if I could get a warranty refund if I just brought the old KYB strut to them after removing it ourselves. Joe explained that KYB's warranty would be for a replacement strut and that he would be happy to take care of that for me. My dad bought new strut assemblies for both sides, and we replaced them. That finally resolved the suspension problems with my car. When I brought the old strut to I.A., Joe asked if I was going to remove the coil spring for them. (Earlier, he had not mentioned that I was supposed to.) I asked if he could do it. He said he could for a minimal fee of around $40. Then I said, "Never mind," because I didn't want to pay any more money just to get a new strut. Joe smiled and said he would do it for free, complaining, "I can't win. I'm always losing money." I thought it funny how he thought that he was the one losing money when my mom paid him almost $600, plus a $20 tip, to replace my old strut assembly with one that didn't even last me 25K miles. Removing the coil spring for free was the least he could have done. Then, I offered to have my dad remove the coil spring since Joe made it seem burdensome. He asked me if my dad had the tools to do it without injuring himself, and I said he might. Joe said no, that was okay and that he would have the new KYB strut ready for me in a couple days. Two days later, I called I.A. to check if the new strut was there, but Joe said it wasn't. The following week, he called me back, saying it was ready for pickup. I thanked him and asked if it was okay if I picked it up the next Saturday that I.A. would be open because it was inconvenient for me to drive there on a weekday. Joe asked if someone else could pick it up for me. I said that I could ask my parents, but I rather not inconvenience them. Joe complained, "So you'd rather inconvenience me, instead. It's kind of in the way, but I can put it aside and attach some kind of note to it, so that hopefully, somebody else won't throw it away." Since Joe had that kind of attitude, I asked my dad to pick it up, and he did. Clearly, Joe is having difficulty dealing with his stressors. Even though my dad and I saved him time and energy by replacing the struts ourselves this time, Joe still saw me as an annoyance simply because I asked him for a good strut, which is what my mom paid him for in the first place. I am certain that Joe's stress and worries have consumed him to the point that all he can see is his own hardship. I know that he is a religious man because he took one extra day off work for Easter. Please join me in praying for our brother Joe to 1) realize his need for God, 2) cast all of his worries on Him, 3) get counseling in proper stress management, 4) respect others more, and 5) recruit a good mechanic and service advisor. Thank you. I learned that if you're going to replace most of the components of a strut assembly, you might as well buy a preassembled full strut assembly that includes a new coil spring. That way, you don't need a coil spring compressor, and it is fairly easy to install by yourself. It saves time and money and is safer, too. read more

I had a great experience with Integrity Automotive. I took my wife's Toyota Rav 4 for a break inspection and after inspecting the vehicle Joe informed me that the breaks were still in good shape. Joe was honest and upfront with me. So when it was time for an oil change for my car I knew who was going to get my business. Joe also let me know I needed an air filter and needed to replace a belt which I knew needed changing so I didn't hesitate to have them replace the two items. I would like to say this place deserves the name Integrity Automotive. My only complaint is I wish they were closer to me. My regular mechanic is close in whittier for regular maintence. But when I had and electrical problem all 4 power windows quit at once on my ford fx4 my guy was like it could cost a 1000.00 I remembered Integrity fixed my son's toyota electrical problems for a great price. So I made the drive expecting 1000.00 When I gave them the problem I was given and estimate of 240.00 . But I was told it would be for 1 1/2 hours of labor to find the problem. If they fixed it sooner it would be less??? Out the door 231.00 that's unreal. While I was waiting a man came in said his car died at the service station next door. Joe asked some questions now he had 12 cars to be repaired !! He left his bussiness to help a man in need got the car to his shop. The man said how much do I owe . I first took my vehicle to a local dealership where I was quoted over $350 for a transmission service. I'm running out of positive adjectives to describe Integrity. I'm not someone who trusts quickly, so the fact that I trust their honesty, integrity ( yeah, I said it), work, prices, and everything else about them speaks volumes. I recently had some work done and a week or so later, I noticed something that might have been related to that repair. I called and spoke to Joe. The first thing he said was that, if it had anything to do with their repair, it was covered; no charge. He also advised me that the possibility existed that it was something else. The final verdict was that they had been given an incorrect part. This place truly lives up to their name. The owners are very kind and will never over charge you or pretend something is wrong with you're car that isn't. My husband was out of town on a work trip when my car started making a loud squealing noise. I generally don't like taking the car in to a workshop as I feel like most workshops see a woman and overcharge her. Which is exactly what happened when I took my car in to the first workshop I went to. They stated 3 things were wrong with my car and quoted me close to $1500. A friend recommended I take my car in to Integrity for a second quote. Sure enough they checked the car out, stated there was only one thing that was broken and causing the squealing noise and also recommended I change the spark plugs.
