Decided to use Yelp because of all their reviews to get a repair service quote for an oil change with new engine oil filter and brake fluid flush. They messaged me asking to confirm engine size even though I had already included in my initial service quote request details and then they stopped responding after I confirmed my vehicle's engine size. They started off great with answering back and communicating with me. Then it failed. I called the auto shop to verify only to say that was incorrect pricing and they never told me of any deal when I told him yes they did. He stated they called but I didn't answer when they never called me. When I knew he wasn't understanding anything of what I was saying because he seemed irritated already, I told him I would take my business elsewhere. I don't trust this business. The mechanic told me my oil change would be $50 over the phone. He then charged me $90 in person and said my engine filter was very dirty but didn't replace it. He also lied and said my engine had no oil in it.....which doesn't benefit him at all by lying. Go with a large name brand business next time. read more

I had previously bought brake pads and brought them here to be installed, and VJ was very helpful in explaining which ones did and didn't need replacing. He showed me the difference in the pieces that were being replaced and even helped me check my air filter upon request. Got a quote through Yelp 2 weeks prior to my appointment here. I was quoted $125 to install brake pads on my 2020 Si. I showed up and I think the owner wasn't told about appointment or my quote by who I spoke to because he was trying to charge me $140. After I explained I spoke to someone he brought it down and all was well. They did a good job, cleaned my rotor and calibrated the system. Brakes are smooth and work well. VJ is an extremely experienced and very knowledgeable car mechanic. I get my Honda Civic serviced here regularly. I also use VJ's services for any repairs that are needee. His services are very reasonably priced and he will always recommend work that is only necessary. I once had to take my car to the dealership (coz VJ doesn't do transmission oil change) and they also recommended some 'critical' repairs worth $1500. I took the car back to him and asked him about those. After examining the car he didn't think there was anything critically wrong and his response was "are you experiencing any issues". When I answered in the negative, he said there is no need ...and that he would check these again during the 6 monthly oil change. My car continues to work perfectly fine and I will make only those repairs at S&K as recommended by VJ. read more

10/15/24: I went in today and once again, VJ did a great job! He replaced my right CV axel and my transmission panel--all at a reasonable price. I took my car in today and he was able to get back it back to me in a couple of hours. He's very sweet and also recommended I get my transmission fluid changed--but only at the dealership--and to change my front tires.
