Project 1: replace the wood front of a one-car garage door. Perfect job and Sergey cleaned up so well I couldn't tell he was ever there. Project 2: not a door installation. Removed carpet and installed vinyl flooring in a bedroom. Also painted throughout including the door and the hallway bathroom door. Minor misunderstanding about where to hang the curtain rod, but it was quickly resolved. End result was a perfect, quality job. Project 3: two outside utility doors with custom sizes and no vendor to provide a louvered, fiberglass door for the water heater. OC Home Fix made a lot of calls, as did I. John finally found the winning door manufacturer. And OC Home Fix convinced me to let them re-frame one of the doors to a standard 24" wide so I'd never have that problem again. They honored their original price (we went from installing a door slab to re-framing to hang a pre-hung door). The final job was again, perfect! We agreed that after my exterior paint job is complete (different vendor), OC Home Fix will come back to custom fit the door trims for Project 3. It will be a separate cost, but all costs have been reasonable for all projects so far. I highly recommend OC Home Fix. This would have been a five star review, but unfortunately, their handyman permanently damaged my carpet during the project. I contacted OC Home Fix to fix a baseboard and remove/dispose of a shower door. John was extremely communicative throughout the entire process on how long it would take, the rough estimate and what the process would be like. Their handyman arrived on time, evaluated the situation and completed all of the work. It honestly looked fantastic and I was thrilled with how great it was. Unfortunately after he left, I noticed what I thought was residue on my carpet (like a wood glue or something) and sent an image to OC Home Fix. They responded promptly and sent the same handyman back to evaluate it. He said he needed specific tools to fix it and that OC Home Fix would reach back out with next steps. Long story short, turns out it was heat damage from a tool used on the baseboards. The carpet could not be fixed. OC Home Fix arranged to have a carpet specialist come out and do a patch, where they had to cut out a piece of carpet from my closet and sew it where the damaged piece was. They replaced the carpet piece with a similar, but not even remotely close to matching piece of carpet, to fill in the spot they took from. They ended up giving me a 10% discount on the project, which is not even a little bit close in value to cover the fact my carpet obviously has a patchwork spot now. And I now have a completely mismatching patch in my closet. Ultimately, it's just a huge bummer. It just really sucks this happened and there was this level of carelessness on the project. They otherwise seemed to be great and I really thought this was going to be a five star review. If you use them, be careful and ensure they cover/protect flooring if they are working in a space. I won't be making that same mistake again when hiring workers. read more

The house also had a lot of landline, alarm, and cable outlets (1976 construction) that had been removed and left the house like Swiss cheese.
