My goldwing sat for 15 months, had it towed there. Quote went up 180 just to diagnose, never mentioned that when i walked in and discussed the bike with Connor. Agreed on $900 for getting running and fluids changed...they had the bike a week plus...only updates I got because I kept calling them. Bike finished, went to pick up and a abs flashing light wouldn't stop. They wanted me to leave it again..No. put their computer on it and said it was rear abs sensor, hr later. Sam said he would check on parts and call me...never happened...on my way out, the made a comment "big bike for a woman" won't go back there. This location is out of my way, but every time, the ride here is worth it for the personable service, the positive attitude and vibes, the quality of work, the quick response times, their flexibility and the reasonable costs. I'm approaching the one-year mark of owning my first bike, which I bought in July 2023. It's a used 2018 Honda CB500XA with 23K miles on it, a "light adventure" bike. I chose it for its upright riding position, which is more comfortable and offers a great view of my surroundings. It's not a massive, monstrous bike, nor is it a tiny, compact street racer--it's just right. As my first bike, I wanted something with enough power to be exciting, but not overwhelming. I considered a 250 or 300, but many experienced riders suggested aiming for something in the 500cc range... 'And I'm very happy I did! When I first got the bike, I had it inspected at another shop, but recently, I felt the need for a second opinion. Last month, while my friend TR was showing me how to clean and lube the chain, he noticed that one of the tires was missing any weights; unbalanced. TR also showed concern over the brake lever that was a bit loose. The previous owner also had work done on the bike at Street Dreams, which was reassuring. **Work Performed:** - Front and rear wheels checked and balanced - Safety inspection - Loose rear brake handle/lever checked - Clutch/gear pedal sticking issue addressed When I picked up the bike, Lynsey explained the work performed. The wheels were checked and balanced, and the safety inspection went well. The loose brake lever was due to it being an aftermarket "shorty" handle, which is safe but has a bit of play. The clutch/gear pedal was sticking because of something I did. I had over-tightened the pivot bolt and applied blue Loctite, causing it to bind. (The blue Loctite is for temporarily holding; not permanent.) Over-tightening the bolt was my mistake. I did it thinking that it would help prevent it from backing out again. The bolt had backed out and was lost while riding the other week. To prevent future issues, I also used blue Loctite on the replacement bolt. I didn't realize that over-tightening would cause problems with shifting gears. Now I know. Lynsey mentioned that this issue is common with my particular bike. After getting home from the shop, I immediately put the necessary Allen wrench in my motorcycle jacket pocket and that's where it will stay. I will now regularly check the pivot bolt's torque. It might be a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it if it prevents me from getting stranded on the side of the road. There's nothing like limping home in second gear with your hazards on--twice! This was my second pivot bolt to back out in the past four months. (I might need to invest in some extra pivot bolts! SMH.) A big mahalo to Lynsey for her professionalism and aloha! I feel very happy knowing that I have a great place to help me look after my bike. This was the first time I've visited Street Dreams and can't say how pleased I am with the incredible results provided by Lynsey and her team of technicians including herself at Street Dreams Motorcycles! Brought my 2003 Honda VFR 800 into her shop since the last place I went could not fix my bike's issue. All that shop seemed to do was replace parts at my expense which did not fix my problems. As soon as I brought my bike to Street Dreams, Lynsey asked deep diving questions about the bike to help with her diagnosis. What repairs have I done so far, how long the bike was running the way it has etc. I explained that my initial thoughts were too much unburned fuel getting through the system. I'm certainly no professional mechanic but presumed it was a fuel injectors and or fuel pressure regulator. Common issue with the VFR is a bad fuel pressure regulator (FPR). She had an opening and within a couple of hours of dropping off my bike, she determined that the (FPR) was indeed bad. This caused clogged fuel injectors and fouling of the spark plugs. Needless to say I was elated that I had some concrete answers and was on my way to getting my bike back on the road. I can't say enough about her professionalism and how she treats her customers. She gave me updates almost on a daily basis whether I needed parts or if she had questions for me to answer. She also gave me progress reports through the entire repair process. Most of all she listened and genuinely cared about making a new customer happy. My bike has not run this well since I purchased it mid-December 2024. KUDOS!
