After waiting for 10 weeks for my order, I contacted Jason at TokyoMods. He recommended an alternative product which I decide to purchase. This conversation on Thursday, August 26th. He told me that my order would arrive on Friday, Sept 2. I just called to check the status of my order and Nel told me that my order would ship tomorrow (9/7) and would arrive on Friday, 9/10. I normally wouldn't post a review, unless my experience was amazing, or awful. In this case it was brief and awful. The price for A FMF silencer part number 041022 through Tokyo Mods and listed on google was $296.99 and that included free shipping. I added the part to my shopping cart on their site and the price was $323.99 without shipping. I called their customer service and they said they wouldn't honor the price and it's googles fault. It's not the price difference that bugs me, but the fact that I was being lied to. I don't appreciate false advertisement. This company is 100% breaking the law. Glad I went found these guys for carb work on my 05 Honda 450x. They were very professional over the phone and answered all my questions before I sent the carb down to them. They received it on a Thursday and it was done and in the mail on its way back to me the following day at noon. (Much faster than I expected) When it arrived back to me it was neatly packaged with a bag of all the parts they took out of it and replaced. I installed it and it fired up immediately and ran perfect. I never had to make a single adjustment. It's been over 3 months of riding the bike hard and it's never skipped a beat. Runs better than it ever has the entire time I've owned it. It also made a huge difference on starting proformance. Weather it be the first start of the day or the 20th time I killed it on nasty single track it starts exactly the same. Really adds some peace of mind when you are 20 miles out in the back country and the last thing you need is a temperamental bike deciding it doesn't feel like running anymore.. If you got a bike with a carb on it, these guy will get it as close to fuel injection as anyone ever will. 100% recommend. read more

I'd like to start by saying that Tokyo Mods will tell you how supreme your bike will run after there carb mod, yes I explained to them what I was experiencing with the bike, as well as mods. Having sent the carb in for there "signature" mod, receiving it a week late because of there error in shipping address, missing a double header race...... my son was in the running for top 3 season points!! Then trying to tune for the following week per there recommendations over the phone to then have parts left on the track and a (dnf)! Did I mention I didn't get any of my jetting, needle, etc back with the carb. Not knowing where I was before compared to now, other than worse off tuned. Didn't address original problem we talked about! I'm now on the up hill swing of getting this thing to rip after working with another carb tech, changing needle, main, pilot and leak jets. What a waste of time and $425.00 I guess the new red hoses look good! Ugh!!! read more

The guys at Tokyomods are outstanding! I moved to SoCal from the Seattle area about a year ago and have had to find new shops and people to do my race service and bike prep with. I stumbled upon TokyoMods through a recommendation from a friend and am SO grateful that I did. I race supermoto with a 2008 KTM 450 SMR that had a major engine failure and needed some quick and professional help. They tore the engine down, found the problems, put it back together perfectly and handed me a turn key bike that I went out and won all of my races with that very next weekend. They did this all in a very timely and professional manner. What else could I ask for? The price was well worth the outstanding work they did for me. I can not possibly tell you how happy I am that the bike is still running flawlessly and winning trophies everytime I take it out to the track. I took my bike to Tokyo mods today and they out right refused to service what they had fixed prior. I was an absolute disbelief when I questioned they're mechanic as to their outright refusal for proper service for something they had previously worked on. He had responded in such words the bikes not good enough for us to work on. I am extremely disappointed and their lack of customer service, their lack of integrity. Word travels fast in this scene and I'm very disappointed. Avoid these people at all costs for their lack of integrity. I happily took my business down the street and they were happy to take care of me. read more

After having a bunch of negative experiences at motorcycle dealerships, I usually do my own work on my bikes, but this last year I was busy so I had Tokyo Mods do a top end rebuild and some other work for me. They are easy to work with, communicate well and they do good work. I also find them very knowledgeable about the bikes they work on. They even delivered my bike to my house for me as I was healing up after some surgery. My hope is that the shop never closes or moves away.... read more

Great quality of workmanship. I had a motor and transmission rebuilt for a 04 CRF450. The bike was faster and had more torq than it did when it was brand new. These guys are awesome. Plain and simple. Their mechanics make guys at other shops look like a bunch of hacks. When I don't have time to fix or service my bikes they come here. Then I can spend a Saturday riding rather than spending hours doing a repair myself and still run the risk of not getting something right. These guys do a good business, so I could see them not wanting to waste time with a bike that's a total piece of garbage. You could take a Honda Civic to a Ferrari dealer and they could fix it.... but it's doubtful they would bother. Same with these guys. I bought a new ktm 500exc in 2016, put one ride on it and took it straight to Tokyo mods. The bike I got back after adding a programmer and some other bolt on parts was night and day. I highly recommend these guys and I am very picky about my stuff! read more

I am really bummed that I didn't find these guys sooner. They rebuilt the carburetor on my son's 2003 KTM 250 EXC that has never really run right. They turned the carb around in 2 days, and it was perfect - bike ran better than it has since we first bought it! I my bike's wheels in for new tires, and Justin recommended a different tire than I've been running. Put 100 miles on them this weekend and it was the perfect call. Just wanted to write an update. I received my bike back from Tokyomods and loved it. They were still not happy with a slight hesitation around the 5,000 RMP range and asked that I bring it back as they wanted try a few other jets in the bike. I took it in today and they had the bike DONE in less than four hours (along with an oil change). How many places call the customer to tell them that "we are not happy with the way the bike runs" even though the cusomer was fine? I'll answer that. NONE. These guys are not happy until THEY are happy which means perfection. I can't say enough good about this shop. They have my business for life. read more

Best shop I have ever been to. Very knowledgeable and great great customer service. Ron and his guys really know what they are doing. I am a do-it-yourselfer. I've owned close to 15 cars and 15 motorcycles and have only been stumped a few times. I picked up a CRF450x that "needed a carb clean". Needless to say I spent about 20 hours on the bike trying to figure out why it was hang idling and acting weird. Gave up and brought it in to the shop. Money was right in me and I let him know. They did my carb mods, checked my timing, adjusted my valves and were still having issues. Soon after they found out it was the stator and got a new one ordered up. They did all this work for the promised price that Ron had told me from the start. Ran great after and have put about 1000 miles on it since. Will definitely come back to this shop! I get all of my work done by Tokyo Mods and I know that I will never let any other shop touch my bikes. I refer everyone I know to Tokyo because I know they know what they are doing and are honest about it all. Here's my story: I purchased my first bike, an older RMZ 250. The bike would literally just pour oil out of a tube every time I started it until I turned it off. I took it around to local shops to see what I needed to do and I think they all could tell I didn't know squat about this stuff because without touching my bike they all said I needed a full complete top and bottom rebuild and would have to spend all this money blah blah blah. A friend of mine told me to try taking it to Tokyo Mods. So I did and boy lemme tell you! They asked what the issue was and told me what they thought was causing it. I left the bike there and a couple hours later they called me and told me that the piston rings were expanded and gave me the price. I am so so so relieved I didn't give in to the other shops and pay all of that money for a pointless rebuild. My bike has been running like a charm for over a year now, and I keep going back to Tokyo Mods for maintenance, tires and any parts I need and I know that when the time comes i will be bringing it to Tokyo Mods for the rebuild! Here's a couple of Recommendations!! 1. Highly recommend the Carb Mod! It's a must have if you have a carbureted bike so worth it. 2. When you visit the shop, check out the back. The walls have a sick graffiti design on them and the mechanic stations are always clean. It really reflects the quality workmanship you get there. read more

Customer service needs a mod flash. The girl I spoke to said "I will get back with you" at either phone number I gave regarding a late delivery. She did also say "I don't know why people use overnight USPS" If they offer it why do they use it?? All I wanted was support on the late shipment and she dropped the ball with a call back and any assistance to get the 24.95 extra refunded for the late delivery and missing the weekend race. The work was done very fast just like professionals but the person who answered the phone needs way better follow up to keep good words to be shared. Peace read more

Sent my crf150r carb in for an overhaul and my bike wouldn't run worth a darn after getting it back. I had idle problems before sending it in and assumed it was a carb issue. I call TM and sent the carb back to them to go through it again and they tested it out on one of their bikes to verify the carb was good. They called me to say there was nothing wrong with the card and that he would check that I didn't have a bad valve seat causing low compression. Low and behold he was spot on, on of my intake valves was leaking excessively from the factory no less (bike was brand new). Good job TM, i'll do business with you again. read more
