I just wrote a bad review for a fast food spot so I needed to find something positive. Yelp said "Hey review that guy Jeff at Cycle City?" So I am reviewing!!! There are couple of Harleys and a Ninja in my Garage all needing some TLC . One is my beautiful 22 year old Heritage Softtail , the love of my life. Which apparently Harley Dealerships won't service after its 20 birthday. So I went and visited Jeff before the holiday to give him the low down on all the Bikes. He said let's work on them after the Holidays. So I had my Daughter Sportster 48 towed by AAA . I met the bike Cycle City. When I told Jeff what I wanted to do on the bike. He said you may not need all that. Let me take a look at it put it up on the lift and we'll see. There was an issue where Harley had kinked the gas line which was causing constant backfiring. It had been a while so the hose was pretty much trashed. Jeff had to order one. Kept in constant contact with me to let me know what was going on. I picked up her bike yesterday. I wrote it home, which is no easy task because she's a foot shorter than me in the bike is made for her. But man, the bike ran perfectly. For the first time the Reinhardt pipes sound sounded great. Rode like a champ. Even though my knees were up on my ears. I picked up the bike by dropping off my heritage. I picked that up today which needed an oil change at least and ask Jeff. Hey just check it out. I had a feeling some things need to be done to it. Jeff called me and said hey, you are metal on metal with your brakes. That kind of makes sense! That's probably why the bike wasn't stopping so quickly! So I told Jeff go ahead and replace them. In like no time he had them replaced, oil changed and the bike just checked out. So he said hey come on and pick it up.. Today I dropped off my ninja which everyone learns from. So it's kind of scratched up from falling and we wrapped it to cover the scratches. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow. As I've never actually ridden that bike and it was super fun to ride. Can't wait to see how it rides after Jeff gets through with it tomorrow! When I drop off our other sportster 48. Jeff knows I'm spending a lot on four bikes so he's making sure that he is as sensitive to cost as possible. Totally happy with everything he's done so far. I don't know how you can afford yourself to do a bathing switch trick with a customer who called for a price quote before coming in and you provided one. Received a definite number $40 to change the tires on Supermoto wheels that are off the bike. When I get there I'm having a friendly conversation with the owner and I'm telling him these are practically brand new tires I'm changing that was stored outside the element securely wrapped up in shrinking wrap for 12 years and what he's doing then is recommending to change the tubes on them as well which I appreciate the sales pitch and he then goes on on showing me the tubes and giving me the price which will double my expected amount of money spending based on the code I received. Gave it some thought and decided I'm going to stick to the tubes that I currently have as they hold air and they're not heavy duty rated so they're not as heavy as the ones he offered me. The gentleman goes on saying to my face with no hesitation then I'm not going to change your tires telling me that my tubes are risky to run and he has the liability for my safety. Let me repeat that he's not trying to make sure I'm going to spend double of what he told me I'm going to spend he's more concerned about my well-being the money is just the aftermath of his concerns for my well-being which is extremely insulting when he expects someone to believe that first of all and second of all this is my call what I want to run on my damn Wheels. I can run this brand new 12 years old tires if I want to and no one can tell me otherwise and I definitely can run the unknown age of the tubes inside the 12 years old tires which could be older or newer and it's nobody's business. I told him it's my call and therefore he has no liability on what I chose to do as a grown man and he went on saying it doesn't have a form to sign me on release of liability and therefore I cannot take liability office ends which is another BS and an insult to your customers intelligence and I don't even think I need to go to the reasons why. TLDR: yes it's a good shop, ask for Jeff. I was in search of a specific set of tires. Tried Cycle City and they were offering the best labor rate and tire price among every shop within 10 miles of Lake Forest. Jeff gave me the quote that was hundreds less, without selling me on a different tire and answered every question I had. I called often to ask questions and he followed up every time. I agreed and I got my special order tires in two days, Trevor worked on my bike and it was ready in a few hours- i had new freshly manufactured tires put on, new tubes, new valves and everything else was how i left it. It's been a month of riding and no problems. If you're in need of tires ask for Jeff for a quote and Trevor for labor. No "salesman"hassle, only honest prices and quality work- how it should be. Took my bike in for rear tire. Did my research. Manager recommended chain service. Said it was "rusty." lol, okay, save me half an hour, go ahead. Bike never saw rain, let alone water, but okay, sure. I put markers on the bolts that need to be turned to tighten the chain. They said that during the tire replacement, they adjust the chain by default. But here we are talking about chain service as if I didn't lube them up as needed. Either way, my marker has not moved a mm. Called and spoke with one of the employees. I asked them how much the sag? He came back and said the quarter of an inch. Said the tech informed him that. Well, I beg to differ. Here is a photo of my marker. The chain seems to have been at least cleaned a little and lubed. But the sag is out of spec, i know because I've been meaning to tighten the chains myself. 33 bucks save me some time, i thought. My advice, if you are desperate, ask them to do the chain service, but verify. Now I wonder if my bike is balanced and to be honest based on the wear pattern. 30 min ride to house. I'm not sure. Its one thing to upsale a service. Okay, I get that, and I'm sure I could do that simple thing myself. But to not do it and still charge like you did. My invoice shows no chain service. My bank statement shows a higher charge with 33 added on there. Shady, absolutely. I can't say with confidence they did a good job. Does anyone know a good bike shop in OC? read more

They pu my bike in Back in april for a gas leak after not hearing anything I stopped by. Spoke to Service manager Jeff gave me a 1800 repair estimate complete carb rebuild , I saw my bike in service dept and noticed the the seat/ tank was never take off. I had put some tape on , tape was still there. i walked out disapointed. The onwer was walking in and saw my frustration, I told what Service manager said. He said he would look at persoally and that he worked on Honda Magma's Weeks later I was finally called again and was told that they cant find the parts and was tubes needed to be replace and where discontinued by Honda but someond maybe makes one in Brass. Weeks later they could not find parts etc. I said ok just bring bike back. I was told that Onwer was sick and they could not do. weeks went by again I went into shop meet with service manager, I was told that delivery truck was broken and they could not deliver. He then said you can ride the bike home. Service and emploee where eating lunch they just smirked and laughed . The bike would have leaked gas and caught on Fire ,WTH. I asked for owner to call me never did! I called next day later acting like another customer and asked if they could PU my bike, They said yes tomorrow am when onwer was in. So much for truck being broken. I asked just bring bike back nothing happened. I finally called again and said I was going filie a law suit . Wow bike was then delivered right away! they had it for over 5 months!! Onwer then gave a list of discontnued parts. I did check and parts where yes discontinued. I tired to find parts. finally gave up and sold the bike for 800.00 and told the guy who bought the info, i was up front with him. Jake who bought the bike took bike apart and the parts that they said where bad where fine . it was another gasket and screw in carb was stuck and that was the problem. Easy fix he said. He fixed it in 2 days and now is riding it WTF. He fixed in his garage in couple hours I think they just wanted to make big bucks or did not care IDK Sad I am out of great bike!!! I've been bringing my KLX 140G here for quite some time now. I had my headlight wired/installed, basic maintenance, and a tire change. Truthfully, I would not consider taking my bike anywhere else! The owner and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and have always managed to finish working on my bike extraordinarily fast. More importantly, the work they provide is quality and offer great prices compared to other shops I've been to. They're upfront about the work that's needed and won't recommend anything that's not necessary that most shops might push for to make a quick buck. I had an issue with my turn signal on my bars. The power cable disconnected and they offered to fix it for free and to my surprise, when I came to pick my bike up, they had changed my rear brake pads for new ones since mine were pretty worn down. You will never find a shop elsewhere that offers this level of customer satisfactory and work so closely with their customers needs. I am 1000% happy with Cycle City Motorsports and can't find words to explain my gratitude. I had a vibration in the front end of the Harley for years and took it back to Harley twice and they said that there was nothing wrong even though there was a ton of weights on it. I just had a really disappointing experience at this place. I went there based on good reviews, but the service was horrible. The staff seemed knowledgeable about bikes, but they were completely lacking in customer service skills. Throughout my visit, they had a bad attitude, and to make matters worse, one of their workers almost hit me with a big red truck as I was leaving. Not only that, but I also witnessed the same worker driving recklessly, speeding, and tailgating other cars. It's really not cool and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I was directly told the bike was under a certain class of registration "non-operational" I was stuck with 4 years worth of registration charges. It cost half the cost of the bike to register... I put some bad gas in my Ducati Multistrada which is a fuel injected 2 cylinder m/c. the guys at Cycle City did a great job cleaning out the lines, the tank and changing the spark plugs. none of this work is too difficult however removing all of the plastic molding to do the work is a (pita) and that's in itself is worth having it done at Cycle City i have used this shop over the years several times and would recommend them for parts and Service. read more

Have had a bad battery changed as well as a few sets of tires those were pretty good jobs. The clutch cable adjustment they did made it feel pretty horrid till I fixed it. Had asked Jeff about my brakes such as getting the fluids flushed since I had seen separation in the reservoirs. He said they had taken a look and they seemed good. My abs failed shortly there after and my rear tire full locked and wasn't able to unlock in-time to steer out of the accident. I am going to be honest, these guys did a perfect job in replacing my levers, tire/rim replacement, and fixed my entire charging system (replacing the stator). Very convenient since it was near my area. PROS: they will get the job done, order the correct parts, their pricing is not over priced like dealerships but they are fair with their honest job. The workers were all friendly and honest. The owner I believe was named Justin, is always very considerate to customers and will do the best he can to please everyone. CONS: the only thing that I didn't like would probably be the wait time and giving the correct estimated time or day for when the bike will be looked at or completed. My bike did take a long time to get it done just because of the COVID-19 since a lot of the shops were closed around Orange County. Who h I do completely understand since they had a lot of bikes on their list. Overall I would come back for any repairs that are needed for any of my bikes. read more
