This salon is so large. I love that when you first come in there is no strong acetone smell that some smaller salons have! I picked out a spa gel pedicure. I picked a gel color which they have a great wide selection. However, after picking the color i wanted I was told it was an extra 5 dollars as it had glitter in it. Had I known it was extra I might not have picked it because it was just mixed right in with all the other gel colors but I was already attached! The process was relaxing and sanitary thankfully. My sister went in to get her nails done in preparation for her engagement. She was serviced by an incompetent employee who didn't fulfill her request after looking at the picture that my sister provided. She cut her nails far too short, then tried to apply acrylics to correct it (wasn't asked for, nor needed if she hadn't cut her nails in the first place). The color she applied was nowhere near what was asked for. After complaining again, my sister was informed that the technician should have used chrome and that's why the polish wasn't the color that was requested. They then reapplied a different polish that was closer but still not what was asked for. The black French manicure was applied as could best be described as by a sloppy amateur. My sister rightfully asked for a refund and was denied and then ignored. If you would want a similar look for your nails after paying to have them done "professionally" for an important event, then go ahead. But we'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

My mom is very insecure about her toes, I recommended her to go here since I always have a good experience, til she came home crying showing me her toes telling me she could tell they were talking about her, and her feet . I'm very picky when choosing a salon. Just recently I was traveling back to Brooklyn to see my nail tech but the commute was a lot so I figured I'd try a place nearby. Initially, I wasn't going to give this place a chance due to the not so great reviews but figured I'd try them out. The first nail tech I had was Hao, but when he was unavailable he recommended I check out Sam. They're both good. Sam is ALWAYS up for a challenge & keeps me happy when I want my crazy designs. My husband also likes for her to do his gel manicures. The spa pedicures could def be longer, & at times I feel like the regular pedicures are rushed but overall it's a fun experience getting serviced here. You just have to choose your tech carefully, everyone's work is different. I haven't had any real complaints until this week. I called the store to ask their closing time & was told 8pm. On several occasions while there late, customers walk in & are still able to get a quick service done which is why I walked in. Two things that rubbed me the wrong way about this experience.. 1) The woman who answered the phone picked up & said "hello.. so I asked "is this Oc Nail? She replied yes. You should never, ever answer a business phone line this way; it's very unprofessional. 2) Upon arriving at the store a little after 7:30pm after a 30 min drive I encountered the woman who answered the phone & explained that I need a fill-in or one nail repaired. I was told they're closed, they took the last person @ 7:30pm. I asked if my nail could be repaired, again was told there's no one to repair it. I stressed my concerns to her about how she answered the phone & knowing what to say & what not to say because you don't know if you're speaking to an existing customer, a new customer or possibly someone looking to walk in for a quick service.. people are human, things often come up @ the last min, you have to expect any & all circumstances. I spoke to the owner & she also agreed with the lady so according to them I was in the wrong one & should never feel like that as a customer. My frustration stems from the lack of communication. Normally, another girl answers the phone. She always respectful, knows what to say & ask when customers call...her customer service is top notch. At any establishment, an owner is set to a high standard while ensuring their customers are satisfied. I'm usually satisfied with the service but wasn't satisfied with the way things were handled. Overall the business has a lot of potential, the owner's attention to detail is on point & they're work is good.. they just have to do better with communication. read more

When this incident happened this was a new business at the time, I thought that the situation could have been handled in a better way nope, the owner let me walk out without a care in the world, neither did I get my nails done. nor offered and apology or even another appointment. I can understand if there was some type of dispute. everything was so calm. other customers that was there did not know there was a problem. So now the owner has a problem with me because I set an appointment up then questioned when I arrive why my name is cross out and I no longer have an appointment. We never had a discussion that I was cancelling. Maybe that was her way of getting me to go to someone else yes, I have to mention. I did come back a few months ago and had an even worse experience with another employee. (got mad when I asked can you file my nails this way got up in the middle of the service to say I don't want to do your nails) Maybe this was all planned. Well the clear came off first than the color. I had to file the color off so it didn't rub off on everything else. Horrible disgusting nails. In my opinion, this is the best nail salon in the area. It's large and very clean, with an array of services offered for reasonable prices. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They do accept walk ins, but I definitely recommend making an appointment if you can - this place can get busy and you may not luck out or have to wait to be seen. To start, very clean facility. The owners were friendly and attentive. The tech, who did my gel set ($75) , was very nice and did an excellent job. My reason for a 3 Star was due to the dissatisfaction with the gel pedicure. Let me start by saying that the tech was very time efficient when it came to polishing/gel application, however, when you pay $65 for the "spa" pedicure, I expected more than a 5 minute foot massage. It definitely is more about volume. I won't be returning for a pedicure but will return for a fill for my nails. If you are in a hurry, it's worth scheduling an appointment with this nail salon. After I finished and paid $45, I looked at both hands again and realized you could still see my nail underneath the french ( this has been a problem they have had in the past).
