The location isn't fancy - but don't let that fool you. The service is great here. Friendly attentive reasonably priced. The space has room for great potential it's under renovations and I'm sure eventually the aesthetics will match the awesome service they provide. I went in for a quick blowout and style on a Sunday morning and beforehand they called to confirm my appointment and were ready when I arrived. I got the recommendation from a friend and the first time I got seated with Nicole she was lively, Friendly, and best of all: good with hair!. There are a FEW good stylists/etc at this salon. That being said, I genuinely feel the bad outweighs the good here. I used to get my nails done by the owner herself, Gloria. She paid so little attention between chatting with her friends and showing off pictures that I never walked out with nails the same shape, or paint covering them. I got nicked a few times. I stupidly kept giving them chances. They will never answer their phone for you. I had forgotten what time an appointment was and called six times in one morning DURING business hours and got no response. Left a message, had no one call me back. The next day they called me to ask me where I had been during my appointment time. When you finally get someone on the phone, you can barely hear them over the noise from the salon, and no one ever seems to want to talk to you. Rude, unhelpful, and they rush you away. I've only found one hair stylist that I trust with me hair, and she works here. So, after giving up on my nails, I decided to just stop in every time I needed a hair cut. That ended today. It seems receptionist edited the appointment book and somehow, my appointment was lost. To make matters worse, they then scheduled someone else in my spot. Somehow, there were no other spots in the entire day that I could fit into. I have officially run out of "second" chances for this salon. I do NOT recommend it. They take credit cards but be warned that they do not allow you to tip your stylist on credit. read more

The girls at Gloje hooked me up for my wedding this weekend. Maria, the owner, is super accommodating and her and her staff put me at ease during quite a stressful time! My hair and makeup as well as my bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law came out exactly how we each requested. We had so much fun getting ready and the atmosphere both the day of the wedding and at the salon was so chill. They travelled to us in Newburgh with no problem. I also came in for a root lift the week before my wedding and I got so many complements. Their prices are very reasonable for the area (I got married at Anthony's Pier 9). Maria, Nicole and Dani worked with me through the whole process, and I would recommend Gloje to anyone looking for any service! I have been a client of Erika at Gloje who I absolutely love, for about a year now. When trying to figure out who I was going to have do my hair & makeup for my wedding there was no doubt that I was going to use Gloje's bridal team for my big day. We had Dani for our makeup and Nichole for our hair, I couldn't have had a better experience. The hair and makeup exceeded my expectations. I had a trial done with the two girls prior to my wedding and absolutely loved my trial and somehow they even made everything better on my wedding day. The girls were so easy going and sweet. They were a great addition to our events in the bridal suite. I felt like I had known them for years. This is the second time Nicole style my hair at Glojé Salon. The first time was back in September where she gave me the short, blunt haircut I was looking for that I love. I just went back for a Keratin deep conditioning treatment that was finished off with a blowout and some loose waves. I used to always go to Gloje. Then, at my last appointment, I was charged $175 for only highlights and a cut (a couple of inches) before tip! I was expecting to pay $150 WITH tip. The color and cut ended up not being what i wanted although the same person did my hair every time. It turned out MUCH lighter than I have ever asked for. Will not return. read more

I had a great experience here! I called early in the afternoon and one of their stylists, Nicole, was able to fit me in for a late afternoon appointment. Nicole was amazing; she did exactly what I asked with my hair and brows. I was a late appointment, but she didn't rush and was very friendly (as was the other stylist who was there during my appointment). I've lived in the area for a few years and gotten my hair cut at several places, but I'll definitely return to Gloje. Their prices are reasonable and they have a discount for new clients. read more
