We rented a 3 bedroom condo for SOS spring week. The condo was filthy! They came in and placed the…read morewhite paper across the toilets as if they had been cleaned. They were disgusting!! I called Elliot and they said for us to leave and they would send someone to clean it. We went dancing for hours that afternoon and when we returned, there was a sponge and cleaning cloth in the trash with the trash lid open but nothing had been touched! Crumbs on the floor, sticky drink rings on the kitchen table, every surface was dusty and dirty, ketchup fingerprints on the fridge, none of the toilets had been touched! Thing is, they had come in and cleaned the master toilet, put the white paper thing on it and left. My sister and I cleaned every surface, bathroom and vacuumed floors and were too tired to go out dancing/shagging and stayed in that Friday night!!! I tried to hook up to the internet and guess what....it didn't work. After talking to 5 people who couldn't help me, I went in and reset everything. Voila! On my way out I stopped at their office to tell them how unhappy I was. They didn't charge me for the clean up crew coming in after I left and gave me $100. The next day, Elliot called my friends and told them they were not renting them the beautiful home for 16 people that had been reserved and paid for for a year! After raising hell, Elliot finally put them in a nice place but it was a mile further down the road. SOS is all about staying within walking distance of the clubs so you can walk home. Needless to say, I'm looking another rental company!

Ironically, there was a slip of paper with the two cleaners names on the paper in case we wanted to leave a tip for their cleaning. Unsure if this unit was cleaned by previous renters (apparently an option to save money). Food particles on the floor in the kitchen and in dining area (not in a remote or difficult to see location). Spot on master bdrm floor, approx. 10" splatter that had been neglected for awhile. Styrofoam bowl with a piece of popcorn behind night stand (I can understand this one more than the others). Dining room table hadn't been wipe down in a few weeks. Dirty knife in the drawer. Cabinets in kitchen with food and splatter on them indicating they have not been cleaned in several weeks or months. Cabinet doors above the stove coated in grease film (possibly not cleaned for weeks, or longer). No hand or floor towels (for stepping out of shower). Wrong sized sheets (I did talk to after hours personnel, he apologized and was willing to pass along the info). Personnel in office and otherwise have been agreeable, just someone within organization can't seem to execute on the simple every day things. Internet not working. I do not take any joy in sharing this, but my hope is to keep someone else from wasting time, money, and frustration. Elliott do better!

After TWO visits to the rental office (I think they thought we would just go away) and sitting there for over 30 minutes, we were given another unit (15 mins away). The dirty towels from the last tenant were still in the laundry area. I immediately called the management office who said they would send someone to pick them up the next morning. Never saw anyone. Those towels sat there THE ENTIRE WEEK. Also, the stove was DISGUSTING. Obviously had not been cleaned in a LONG time. We couldn't even imagine using it. Décor was early "Three's Company" desperately in need of an upgrade. Would have been better off at a chain hotel.

We have been coming to Kingston Plantation for nearly 10 years, and this was by far our most…read moredisappointing stay. The listing photos are outdated, there was food left in the refrigerator, a dirty freezer, dirty and greasy dishes and utensils put away in the cabinets, a dirty rag left behind, cloudy shower fixtures, and the primary bathroom ceiling fan was dangerously off balance. The biggest disappointment, though, was the complete lack of communication. The listing, check-in information, and signs all directed us to text the property manager if we needed anything. I reached out by text and through Airbnb, explained the noise issue we had in detail, and even sent a video. I never received a response through either channel. Things happen, but a complete lack of communication is unacceptable. We love Kingston Plantation and will absolutely be back, just not to this rental or through the rental company. They claim to be attentive and responsive but to this exact moment I have heard nothing from the company. I noticed the owner will answer good reviews online but ignores any complaints. It is also concerning Google shows the business as "permanently closed". Avoid if at all possible.

Our 2 bedroom 2 bath condo had a nice oceanfront view and was well maintained and updated. The place seemed safe, secure and quiet. The residents and other guests we encountered were friendly and talkative. We spent a lot of time in the spacious indoor pool which was clean and never overly crowded. There was also a private walkway to the beach with several places to rinse off sand when coming back from the beach. We have stayed many places in North Myrtle and this was one of favorite places.
