My fiance and I wanted to do some nice couples pics while on vacation in Oahu, something casual since we weren't on the island for very long. Ace really pulled through with great communication, beautiful photos, and super quick turnaround. -Ace coordinated time and location with us and was great about responding to emails in a timely manner. We had originally scheduled a one hour shoot on Monday at sunset, but due to the weather, we had to reschedule. Ace was great at reaching out and flexible about rescheduling to the next day. The next day there was some awful traffic, and Ace was both great at providing his ETA, and again flexible and understanding when my fiance and I arrived 20 mins after he did. -The shoot was great! Ace is a professional, knows how to best capture the light at sunset and had great suggestions for poses as well as working with any ideas we had. He was also really easy to talk to. The photos turned out really beautiful and were all we hoped they would be. -The quick turnaround was the really amazing part...photo shoot Tuesday evening, online proofs of touched up images later that night, and prints and flash drive with all images delivered Thursday evening (we had plans during the day). The Long Story: Our wedding planner recommended Joseph after my now-husband and I told her how photography/videography were among our top priorities for our big day. During our first call with Joseph, we immediately sensed that he'd be a great fit. He was delightful and easy to talk with, and his extensive knowledge, thoroughness, and patience in walking us through our many questions made us realize we'd be in the hands of a true professional. So after reviewing his gorgeous portfolio of wedding photography, we ended up booking a 10 hour photo/video package (which included an engagement shoot and photo booth as add-ons). Our engagement shoot (which we highly recommend doing with Joseph before your wedding day so you can get to know him and get used to being photographed) quickly solidified our opinion of him as both an excellent photographer and an awesome person overall! He woke up bright and early to meet us for sunrise and even went above and beyond by helping me find someone willing to do my hair and makeup at the last minute, which I was incredibly grateful for. Bien was very professional, provided helpful guidance on general posture/stance/hand positioning, and was just overall a fun person to be around (which helps for capturing genuine smiles, since photoshoots can be intimidating). Bien put energy and thought into the location, background, and lighting, which was reflected later in the photos. I was most impressed by how he was able to turn a woodsy area in Hawaii into an alpine scenery. It was raining on and off that day, so it already provided a fall vibe, but Bien's added talent transformed a potentially challenging on-and-off rainy day into an impressively lit, lush, and colorful landscape.
