A friend recommended the Sherman Oaks branch, so I emailed the manager ahead of time for therapist recommendations. First impression: if it's your first time here, finding the location can be confusing. There aren't any large Burke Williams signs, and I actually had to call the branch to confirm they were inside the mall area. Parking is also a bit of a walk, and signage could definitely be improved. For reference, they're located next to 24 Hour Fitness on the second floor, Building A. Once inside, though, the experience improved immediately. I was greeted right away by two friendly receptionists, and check-in was quick and easy. Since it was my first time at this location, I asked if someone could show me around -- honestly, that probably should've been offered proactively. The men's spa attendant gave me a tour, and the interior reminded me a lot of the West Hollywood location: darker, older, and more traditional in style. One thing another Yelper mentioned was absolutely true -- the place feels like a maze, especially since the massage rooms are upstairs on another level. My therapist, Giovanni, was great. He asked about my preferred pressure before the session started, although he didn't really check in during the massage itself. That said, he definitely has his own massage style, and overall I enjoyed the treatment. The men's spa area was surprisingly quiet, which made for a peaceful experience. The steam room wasn't quite hot enough for me, so I ended up spending more time in the sauna instead. Overall, I had a nice experience and would come back. Just a heads-up about parking: it's validated at a discounted rate, but if you stay longer, it can add up. Hollywood still has the best parking situation since it's free, while Woodland Hills offers a flat $3 rate.

Hygiene of the process was questionable to me. Technician double dipped into scrubs and other products after touching my feet. After my service was done, they up charged me by $100. When I asked why, I was told my nails are medium length, therefore they charge $10 per finger. No one told me this during my service. I got plain nails done (booking was for hard gel), no design or anything extra, didn't even ask for a Russian manicure. Overall, this experience was not worth $250 before tip. The idea of a business performing services on you KNOWING they will charge higher than listed on their own booking system does not sit right with me. Word of advice to the owner: this place is so convenient yo my work, id have been my new regular spot. You just lost years worth of business over $100. To respond to the owners response: my booking was $150 for mani and pedi both. There was no discussion about any other services in person. I picked the color from the options I was presented and that's that. If your staff added services, those were not discussed with me. The lady that checked me out at the register even explained to me that the services were $100 more due to the "medium length" of my nails. Again, none of this was disclosed during the service. If that's the up charge your salon aims for, that's completely fine. But maybe disclose it to the customer and be open and honest. I felt robbed after checking out.

I have been a client for several years at Blue Medi Spa, and over the years they have employed some…read moreSTELLAR Nurse Practioners/Injectors. However, almost without fail, these wonderful employees leave the spa and I must trust someone new. Unfortunately, my latest visit was a giant waste of money with very poor results. I spent a total of $660 on Dysport, and still have static lines on my forward and glabellar area (between the brows). The product NEVER worked, as I was able to make all the same facial movements I did on the initial day of service. (They document with photos, so this is easily verifiable). Specifically, I saw Miranda on July 18th for Dysport to my forehead, glabellar lines, and chin. I usually get 90 units, but this time I got 100 units, as the injector recommended. Well, it failed to work and I still had lines on my forehead and a big line at the left glabella (which I thought the extra 10 units would have addressed, as the right side had no starting static line). I waited the proper amount of time and came back on August 25th for re-evaluation. They approved 4 units of "Complimentary" Dysport to address my concerns, and made me pay for an additional 10 units to fix the left glabellar line. So, now I've received a total of 114 units of Dysport, and it is STILL NOT WORKING!! I can make full "surprise" and "angry" faces. I am a reasonable person and thought that MAYBE the 90 units wasn't enough, but even with the additional 10 units, and now an additional 14 units, I'm still not seeing results!!! So, this tells me it is not a "me" problem, but rather a "Blue Spa" problem. What an insane waste of time and effort (as I followed after care instructions to the tee), and before you say it must be my "metabolism" or that I am "immune" to neuromodulators or neurotoxins, know that it is unequivocally neither of these things. I am deeply, deeply disappointed in this business and cannot in good faith recommend them any longer.
