I have gone to Rima for years. When my haircutter retired I was lucky to find her! I also referred some other guys to her for hairstyling and one of them for the deluxe Agaveoil treatment. I know this sounds like a paid ad, but it's not--my godson is a very active model and his hair was hard to style. Rima suggested the Agaveoil treatment and now he gets it regularly, especially before a photo shoot. FYI, I told Rima that the word "Goddess" strongly suggests that her only clients are women, but she's outstanding with guys, and I know three of them who can vouch for that! read more

I'm so happy and fortunate I found this place! Rima is such a kind, warm, and lovely lady! I felt at home and so at ease the moment I met her. She does a great job of explaining the agave treatment process and answering any questions you have. So far I've had two agave smoothing treatments done with her, and both have turned out amazing!! First off, the lady who took care of me was very sweet. I went to get my hair deep conditioned. Online it says the cost is $35 however since my hair is past shoulder length it cost about $45+. The woman who did my hair was so nice that I feel bad writing a negative review. However I see no difference in my hair. I've had deep conditioning done in the past and had Enjoy products used on me (for half the cost.) The lady at Goddess used Saphire and it was just crap. My hair was wet when I left the salon so I did not know that my hair wasn't properly treated. I mostly blame the product. Can't help but feel like I paid $50 just to get my hair washed by a nice lady. 3 stars is kind of generous. Edit: The lady did call to see if she could fix it. However I'm leaving on a long trip. I'm very happy that she went out of her way to try to make me satisfied. read more

I will never go to another salon again if I don't have to. This place made my day! Everyone here is so super sweet and accommodating. They offered me coffee when I got there (which for me was fantastic since I hadn't had time to grab some this morning). Ludwick (sorry if this isn't the correct spelling) was so great about making sure that I was getting exactly what I wanted. He kept telling me "We'll go slow" just to make sure it was perfect. And it is!! I couldn't be happier with my new bangs and layers. There was such a fantastic vibe there. My visit to Goddess sticks out in my mind as one of the best and most fun salon experiences I have ever had. I was doing some research on Yelp trying to find a salon that did a deep conditioning treatment in the valley, because I thought that's what my hair needed. In a local search, Goddess came up and as I started to read through the reviews, the "Agave smoothing treatment" that users mentioned caught my eye. I looked it up, and it seemed to describe the type of hair treatment I was looking for. I've always heard of Brazilian blowouts, but this seemed safer and better. I called up the salon and spoke with Rima, telling her that I was new to this and needed her advice on whether I should get the deep conditioning treatment or the Agave smoothing treatment. I described the problems I was having with my hair (dry, frizzy, flyaways...) and we set an appointment for the Saturday that was coming up. I asked her if she could just look at my hair and make the best recommendation when I got there, and we decided to go with the Agave smoothing treatment. I brought my friend, and we were treated so warmly by Rima and her husband right from the beginning. We had cookies and wine, and enjoyed a 5 hour day at the spa that we had all to ourselves! My treatment took a hair over 2 hours (ha ha pun intended), and we were only there for that long because we were hanging out, talking, and my friend got a facial and a deep conditioning treatment as well. Rima really took her time applying the treatment to my hair, and even threw in a trim at the end because she didn't want to see me walk out of the salon with scraggly ends. :) She even threw in a sample of the shampoo/conditioner, which I insisted on giving her some money for. Now, as for the actual treatment itself. All I can say is my daily routine has completely changed. It's incredible. I just get out of the shower, towel dry and blow dry, and it dries straight. MINIMAL brushing required. Saves me at least 10-15 minutes every morning, 20 if I don't wash it (that's this new thing I'm trying, per Rima, just washing it every other day). It's mindblowing and life-changing and feels impossible all at once. But it IS possible. My hair is SO soft, I can't stop playing with it. Everyone at work has noticed and the compliments don't stop coming. I didn't know my hair could ever feel this way again, like it did when I was a little girl, before life had its way with it. I really hope it lasts 3 months, so far so good. The price tag was high, but not high for what you yet. It's completely worth it, even without the deal discount (which I think was 30% off). I've been going to Rima since January. This woman is a miracle worker! I originally wanted blonde highlights, and my hair is SO stubborn it would not take the bleach for the life of me. She spent 12 hours getting the color to the way I wanted it! She was literally on her feet until like 3 in the morning because that's how long it took for my hair to finally take the bleach after several attempts. Then two months later, I get sick of the blonde and I decide to be a red head, and she transforms me into one. Rima is the owner and also not only an amazing color expert , but really knows what she's doing. She can basically do any service (as far as hair goes ofcourse etc) but she goes the extra mile even if she has to stay way longer to make sure it's perfect, all with a nice demeanor and lovely personality (which makes the appointment actually enjoyable! Also her keratin treatment is worth every dollar! This review is actually long overdue, but I've finally gotten around to doing it! Rima (please forgive me if I'm spelling your name wrong) made my dreams of going blue come true. She took me in on short notice. (I called the day before and she had time for me the next day, Friday, May 15). She was very kind and offered me a good deal on getting my hair done. For the record, I only asked for the bottom half of my hair (in regards to my scalp, not a dip dye style) to be dyed blue because i didn't know how damaged my hair would get. She bleached my hair for what I think was an hour. My scalp was actually really itchy (which I've never experienced before), but she kept an eye on me, and i did not suffer any consequences after that (no peeling of skin or anything). Im not sure what was going on, i think i was sensitive to that bleach. Then she dyed my hair with Splat in blue envy, which was the perfect color for me. Since my visit, I've recommended her to friends who want similar hair color styles but in different colors. I believe Rima owns the salon with her husband, who is just as friendly. They truly care for their clients. One last thing, I had the privilege of being there while a celebrity came in. I guess that's a perk of getting your hair done here! read more

Needed a New look since I chopped off my hair. Iam currently disabled, going through a rough patch in life and needed help with my hair. Found this shop on yelp and Walked in without appointment. Both the owner and her husband were such sweethearts and heart warming. They took me in without an appointment. She did a great job and I really loved it. I just had a mild allergic reaction to the dye for the first time. Now if your a Student with a budget I wouldnt really recommend this place because it is pricy at least in my situation. It's the most I ever paid for a pixie cut and one hair color. I had full lengthen hair before with highlights and even extensions but didn't pay as much I did here. But if money and time isn't an issue I definitely recommend this place. She's great and I had a pleasant experience there. read more

Since moving to LA for over a year and a half, I have yet to find a hair stylist. I bought a groupon deal & decided to give this place a chance. It took me almost 2 hours for a wash, deep conditioning, & cut...CRAZY!!! When she was about finished, I knew in my head I wasn't super satisfied, but I couldn't stay another hour for her to make more layers (btw she only did 3 and it didn't look like she did anything). I called the owner back to see if she could fix my hair, but she said she was going to charge me for another hair cut...AND MIND YOU, I tipped her $20. In a normal professional salon, I know that every stylist will fix a clients hair cut if unsatisfied so they know they'll come back. NOT this place, I don't recommend going to this salon at all...not cool for wanting to charge me again. VERY disappointing!!! read more

She completely corrected and perfected my hair and it is now long, thick, healthy and the hair I've always wanted. A couple of weeks ago I consulted with Rima (the owner) about having the Agave Hair Smoothing Treatment done on my hair. I found her through yelp and was obviously impressed with her reviews. I decided to make an appointment to speak with her so that she could see my hair and I could meet her, see the salon, and find out whether I would be a good candidate for this relatively new process. I instantly took to her as she was informative and honest about why she liked and used the product. She also showed me pictures of clients that she had used Agave on. After a 15 minute consultation, I made an appointment with her. Today I went to have the Agave Hair Smoothing Treatment and couldn't have been more impressed with Rima. She was everything that her reviews said she was - warm and very professional and definitely knew what she was doing. I must admit, I was a bit nervous about the process - but I shouldn't have been. She delivered on her promise... One of the things that I did NOT want was stick straight hair. However, I was looking to relax my annoying natural curls while still maintaining movement and keeping the fullness and body in my hair. After an amazing blowout (both by drying my hair without and then with a brush to show me the flexibility that Agave offers), I was absolutely thrilled. I have been going to my stylist for many years, but he was not familiar with Agave. To add insult to injury, my last couple of haircuts were quite disappointing. So, after the great experience with Rima, there is no question but that I will use her for my future haircuts and, of course, for my next Agave Hair Smoothing Treatment (which she said should be in about 12 to 14 weeks). If not for my undying love for my colorist, I would go to Rima for everything (and maybe one day I will as one never knows...). I would highly recommend Rima for any beauty needs. Goddess was one of the salon's closest to me that was offering the Agave Hair Straightening treatment. Rima (owner and stylist) did a great job. I have natural Black hair and it's very hard to get rid of the curls. The process turned out well, but takes a very long time, about 4 hours. There was a slight disagreement with yelp advertisement I purchased which was $35 for $60 but it was taken care of. The cut was $55 and $25 for blow dry. I still paid an additional $24. At this salon, however, I was treated like family, and they even talked me out some services because it was too close to the wedding.
