Probably the best Chinese food I've had in a while. Now I know what your thinking, "Really in Delta?" The answer is simply YES. When you pull up your gonna wonder if it's open, if its clean, if it's a Carl's Jr. Building, again the answer is Yes. Be brave, go in, the food is great. I promise you will not be disappointed. I had General Tso's chicken and it was amazing, crispy and spicy and sweet so good. My Boyfriend had the Mandarin Beef it was also crispy and amazing. No joke the food here is really really good. Probably the best Chinese food I have had, and it was in Delta... had the mandarin beef, really great flavor profile. Haven't seen it on other menus but saw it here and was happy I did. Other dishes at the table were cashew chicken and general tsu chicken. Everyone was pretty thrilled with all of the dishes. I thought it was amazing and a little strange that the server came by with tiramisu bites for everyone at the table. They appear to be bought not made in house but I dont know for sure. Good food but the place was FULL of flies. Hard to enjoy your meal with a swarm of house flies trying their damndest to land on your food.

Customer service was good, gentleman was very nice. Timing to refill drinks was perfect. Rice needed a little more soy sauce but was typical fried rice in the bowl. Ordered general chicken. I have eaten here a couple of times, and each time I had the lunch buffet. The food there is really kind of, well, "take it or leave it". I was not ever particularly impressed with any of the items in the buffet, but it is edible for sure. They offer both white and fried rice, there was a variety of your typical Chinese-style restaurant foods on the buffet such as sweet and sour chicken/shrimp, beef and broccoli, etc. The wait staff aren't exceptional in any way, but they are acceptable. The restaurant itself is rather clean, but the decor is a little stereotypical and outdated. Might be a good place to take your gran for lunch, seeing as how the flavor of the food is rather mild. read more

Therefore, my rating for Ocean Pearl is for the menu dishes. To be brutally honest, this is not world-class Chinese fare but there is a decent selection of dishes from which to choose and the portions are adequate. That said, the restaurant is usually kept clean, their prices are reasonable and the wait staff are always friendly and attentive. In all, my experience at Ocean Pearl has been a fairly good one. The smell is disgusting as soon as you're walking in. It's like a mix of sewer with the hand soap they have in the restroom. We ate their buffet. A few of their options look as if they were made on a previous day and were just reheated. My family and I got sick after eating here. Some of the veggies in their stir frys tasted rancid. Our drinks took forever to come out. My husband ordered a Coke, by the time it was brought out to us, there was very little carbonation in it because of all the ice it had and probably because it sat in the glass for nearly 20 minutes before it was brought out to us. We asked for a new Coke with light ice. The lady refused to give us another Coke. This restaurant was once a favorite spot to have lunch for me, but throughout the years it's just getting worse.
