Chin Chin Restaurant has always been the best in Grand Junction, no doubt! And for those who always complain about no delivery .. Stop being lazy. The quality of food doesn't always stay consistent only because there is a different chef cooking every day and since its fresh from the start, every chef has their own unique taste bud which is then carried onto the dish. But just because it doesn't stay consistent, it doesn't mean it's not excellent!! It is a great family owned restaurant that has been around since 2009! Generally, the food is very good. This last time I went and had lemon chicken, the chicken was so tough. It was like grizzly and stringy. I didn't have the opportunity to let them know in person because I didn't get to my dinner until I actually got home. I ate too much of the other stuff that they serve you which is always very nice. Anyway, the chicken on the lemon chicken was very tough and difficult to chew. Otherwise they're very good. The waitress was excellent. This place seems like it may have been a cozy hub for east GJ years ago but now its vibe is "Why are we still in business?" The atmosphere is old and dingy with very little ambiance, it could be a diner of any generic type. They seem to have regularly missing menu items, an almost nonexistent bar offering, and the food is bland. Service is okay but also seems to give the feeling of why aren't we closed yet. I've eaten at many great small town Chinese places that had far more to offer. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Everything is just too salty, even their egg drop and wanton soup. The food has flavor but to the point you cannot eat too much because of the saltiness, cook might have been a little too heavy handed on the salt not sure if it's just today or this is really their standard. Food was served 15-20mins from the time we ordered. We asked for some sauce like sweet chili or sweet and sour sauce for the Calamari just to counter the saltiness but the waiter said, they don't have any sauce for it, but he offered chili sauce. The only thing I liked was the Thai tea unfortunately no boba available today. Fried rice is burnt. Place looks old but it's generally clean and the staff is attentive. read more

Decent food for the price. I like the location - easy in and out of parking lot. They are closed on Mondays which is odd. The decor is not totally overdone but everything looks like it's 20 years old - worn out. Service was quick but not friendly really. Seemed busy and food was tasty and arrived together. I'm not sure why everyone thinks this is the best food in town! They have gone downhill quickly lately. Second to last time I asked for a specific noodle for my dish, nothing else different other than the type of noodle and was told when I arrived to pick it up that 'I was the only one that made them do that'. This last time I decided to order something simple, teriyaki shrimp with fried rice and it was awful! And apparently fried rice is now just white rice with soy sauce. I used to love going to them but the last three times have been so disappointing, I wanted to give them one more try but this time was the last.....3 times and you're out. Meh. I've had better. Being married to a half Chinese half Indonesian man makes me a bit harsher which is why they got 2 stars instead of one. The food is hot and seems to be fresh but authentic it is not. We ordered sesame chicken and hot Thai chili chicken both extra spicy. I guess I'm used to spice because there was none here. This place is so white washed I wouldn't be surprised to find bottled sauces and canned cooking in the kitchen. The sad thing is, I think the people working there know it too. I'm only too happy to get back to the Eastern plains, Denver area for real Chinese. If you like white washed Chinese tho, they'd get 4 stars. read more

Yummy! The resturant is open to sit in. In or take out, you will not be disappointed in the presentation, taste and service.

Preposterously extensive menu, which made it that much more frustrating when our server couldn't recommend anything in particular. "What are you in the mood for?" I hate that. Plus, I told him I basically don't eat meat, but that I might be in the mood for a seafood dish, and he so helpfully informed me, "That means you're not a vegetarian." I know. I ended up ordering a Kung Pao vegetables dish (which wasn't on the menu exactly) and egg drop soup. Both were good, standard Chinese. The egg drop soup came with crispy fried Chinese noodles on top, which I found a little strange. And the zucchini and the baby corns in my vegetable entree tasted strangely freezer-burned, which wasn't so good. Everything else was good, though, (anything with peanuts has got my vote) and was a fantastic deal for the price-- about $10 for a whole lot of food. read more

We got fried cheese wontons to start. Amazing!! Crispy yet sweet and creamy. I got the beef and broccoli with cashews. This was awesome. My partner got the orange chicken, which he said was really good. We just moved from Chicago hoping to find a great Chinese place & I'm so happy we found this place! We will def. Be back! Worst service ever! I ordered the Pineapple Chicken and was served a dried chicken patty that looked like fish sticks. I returned the meal. The waitress refused to take the meal off of the bill. I stated the meal was not touched and I was not going to pay for it. The waitress stated "American restaurants wouldn't take it off of the bill" I cannot believe she said that! I again stated I would not pay for that meal. We were going to pay for what had been eaten and that was it. The waitress stated " if you dont like it dont order it". We Will never go back! read more

We're long time customers of Chin Chin. Staff is nice and welcoming. Our favorite dishes are: (vegetarian) vegetable garlic lo-mein, Chin chin spicy beef, orange chicken, sesame beef, chicken chow fun. All of their soups are good and consistent. Not fans of their pad thai (order this dish at a local Thai restaurant instead) but all of the other dishes we've had over the last 16 years have been great! read more
