This course needs to be closed for two weeks and have the grounds team fix everything. Tee boxes are all totally worn out. Fairways need to be treated with weed control and fertilizer. Greens...every one had crabgrass throughout. Reading the comments...years ago this course was the place to be. The management has totally let it go. Don't waste your money. read more

Stop hounding your guests to be quicker when they are going a completely normal rate. Don't assume groups under 40 years old don't know how to play. Complete condescension from staff and having multiple wardens tracking you from hole 1 to make sure you keep up the pace is not the way to bring back return customers. This place acts like it's some PGA tour stop with how serious they take things, in a completely bad way. Do not recommend, will not be taking any of my friends or family back. read more

Played this course second week of April Let's just say the course was not ready to play after rain the day before but they still took our money and let us play in a swamp. The rough on Several holes had 2 inches of water and the greens were atrocious. This place is about as good as a $25 muni course. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. Maybe it's better in the summer but it's hard to see where that's possible. Clubhouse and drinks were decent. Sorry I won't play again read more

Played 8/11/25 and was very disappointed. Late getting off and pace was slow. We waited every shot and ranger came around and told us to pick up pace. The tees were sand and crabgrass. The fairways were horrible and the greens slow. Different grasses made for inconsistent lies. Being billed as a championship course is comical. It's obvious works needs to be done but we didn't see one worker. Maybe maintenance doesn't work Mondays. Not sure I ever saw so much crabgrass on collar of greens. I'm not interested in going back. Played there previously and was happy with course. Obviously something has changed. read more

STARTER MISCONDUCT I joined my friends to play a round here, only to be welcomed by a set of rude and disrespectful starters. Two older men were sitting in the shade while quietly chatting about players in an inappropriate manner. I approached them to let them know that we had checked in with the clubhouse only to be disrespected and questioned on how we booked our tee time. These starters gave us no information on the course and only seemed to be there to criticize and offend the golfers. The course was in decent shape and the cart girl and rest of staff seemed to be nice. The starters gave a very bad impression of the course and I will not be returning. Please have better starters that actually care about the course and it's patrons. read more

I love this course. starters are AMAZING and the Pros work hard to keep things in great shape! When I see the negative reviews I wonder what course they are referring to... it can't be this one. It is in great shape and the people are very friendly. Definitely worth playing. read more

Loved having a ranger tell my group to pick up the pace 4 times in one round while there was no group even remotely close to behind us. If you want to be rushed and play speed golf this is the place for you! Apparently a 4 hour round isn't fast enough for this place. First and last time I'll be playing here. read more

Beautiful layout but the greens were not in good shape with lots of crabgrass on the fringes. There was no beverage cart making the rounds. The dew was on almost if the greens all day long. I do like how the course takes you through the neighborhood. I will give it another try next year. read more

Staff was pretty friendly. Course was okay. Lots of construction around, and a few holes stunk like sewage due to water buildup. Played 3 courses in this area and this one was the only one to charge driving range fees to those with tee times. If you buy balls for the range, buy the medium bucket. Almost as many as a large for less. read more

Avoid this golf course. I've been a resident in ocean pines for 20 years and live on this golf course. Just this year the manager accidentally approved the wrong chemicals killing all of the grass. I often hear intoxicated golfers swearing, smell weed from the course, and watch inexperienced golfers rip apart the golf course with the rented cars. I am writing this because they can care less about enforcing on these issues, but recently placed signs throughout the course stating residents (who fund the golf course through HOA) can no longer walk or bike on the path after hours. The reason stated is that bikes may destroy the turf. What a joke. the community respectfully utilized the path for over 20 years - Awful management, angry residents in the community with these new signs, and just poor decision making. As a disclaimer, while this managerial decision concerning new signs did in fact prompt me to write this review, the above stands true, it just simply was the last straw. Whoever is responsible for the newly issued signs needs to be reevaluated. I am considering a new community to live in or at least a relocation away from this terribly managed course. read more

This golf course is one of the best around for their rates. 2 courses never makes golf boring. Also, I think what I like so much is those that work there. Could not be more helpful and friendly. It makes starting your round of golf so pleasant. They ALL go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the day at a golf course. read more

I live in the neighborhood and play here two-three rounds a year. The course is decently maintained and not too bad for the price you paid. Nice greens. They have made a lot of improvements in 2014-15 to control the ponding issues but still can't get rid of the sewer smell at the turn. Here are the two issues I came across: 1. Management Last summer, my neighbor and I walk-in for a Sunday morning tee time and was told none were available. The parking lot was not even half full and there were not a lot of golfers around. If they don't like walk-ins because this is a "Country Club" then just say so. I have heard from a few golfers saying that management here is not that great thus why they have been switching to a different one every 2-3 years. Don't know about the ladies locker room but the men's side smells and the bathroom is not clean. How is it that I made tee time for first out of the day at 7AM and yet at 6:42 there were one foursomes in front of us with another not yet ready to go? 2. The Tern Grille, club house restaurant . The 50-55 year old lady who works in there is horrible. At the back 9 break my friend Jester asked for 2 coffees to go. She said "Just brewed a new pot and it is not ready". I asked "Can you tell me how long it is going to take?". Her raspy voice replied "It will be ready when it is done". I told her all I want to know is "how long it is going to take" since we have a short break. She paused as though I didn't get the point. We start walking out then she finally said "It will be done in 2 to 3 minutes". I will continue to play here not because I like the management or the bitchy lady in the restaurant. But because I am doing my least to support their business. read more

Course was in great shape, greens and fairway top notch. Finished round just after 11am and was able to get a top tier Crab Benedict paired with a Orange Crush. Best Orange Crush I've had in 4 days at the beach (OC) including Fish Tales, Longboards, and Sunset Island bar. Will be back, highly suggested! read more

Classic old school course design. Not too long, narrow, tree lined fairways into protected greens. Liked the layout despite some challenges with condition of the greens. Good course for the value. Unfortunately, the pro shop, grill, bathrooms and staff left a lot to be desired. Staff was rude and not happy to see non-locals. Local "members" were unfriendly and monitored our play. Bizarre! Too many other courses with better facilities, better maintained courses and friendlier staff to play here again. Definitely don't recommend this to the guys golf weekend crowd as you are the last thing these people want around. read more

This course is very unforgiving and it was in beautiful shape. Unfortunately the Senior Marshal in charge was rude and disrespectful. He had absolutely no respect for our group and harassed us throughout our entire round. He followed us around like a lost puppy and would not leave us alone. He even went so low as to insult my good friend Tim regarding his inability to drive the ball into the fairway. Everyone from the drink cart girl to the bartender ware spectacular. But the Marshalls inability to sympathize with our subpar golf game ruined our experience. read more

Beautiful golf course, but terrible customer service and hospitality. This will be my first and last time golfing here. It seems that certain staff members are stuck in the 1800's. We came out to play for the first time and we were rudely interrupted by "experts" saying we need to play faster. They passed us to continue playing and ironically we had to wait on them to finish as they did us. They also cried to the Marshall. I guess they must pay the Marshall to look like they know what they are doing. I'll spend my money elsewhere. I will also make sure none of my family, colleagues or associates play here. We are from out of state, we were bought a round at this course for Father's Day, my brother and I are ok golfers but my dad is new tho the sport, we had a tee time for 3 people and were told we had a single joining us as we were ready to tee off. We were not completely comfortable with this and told them we would rather not. They refused to allow us to play as a threesome. I have played at many courses and have never had a problem with refusing to play with a stranger. We were looking to play as family and have a good time. With person conversation, we couldn't help but feel they were greedy and did. It care about their customers experience at all, we left and at least they did give us a full refund, but the. Send the single out alone....makes sense right.... read more

course is in great shape and a test of golfing skills. Fairways and greens are terrific however the rough is too high and makes it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. Looking for balls just off the fairway shouldn't happen. Tern grill is a great place to rehash the golf day. read more

Mixed feelings about this golf experience. First the positive; very interesting course challenging distances, nice bunkers, wooded fairways and enough water. This course has great potential. Now the negative; 1) for some unknown reason, they chose to over-sand the greens the day we played. No aeration, just over-sanding to slow the putting surface to something Old Tom Morris would have been comfortable with - horrible putting conditions. 2) the grounds crew are rude and unprofessional. We were the first group out. On the first hole the guy cutting around the green not only did not turn off his mower while we putted, he ran over one of our balls cutting off about 1/3 of the ball. Not so much as an "I'm sorry." The discourtesy of running machines and working in front of our foursome repeated several times - it was like WE were inconveniencing THEM - deplorable service 3) We were on track to finish our round in a little over 3 hours. However, when we got to the 16th hole groups of children (4-8 per hole) with adult supervision started leap-frogging in front of us. I think it was some sort of day camp. While I thoroughly support children learning the game of golf. I think the treatment we received from the adult supervision was deplorable. I must admit, some of the adults were fantastic; when they saw us approach they quickly shuffled the children to the side and waved us through. All adult instructors, however were not so courteous. One hole was so bad we were delayed nearly 30 minutes. The adults in charge of the group allowed the children to put their bag stands on the greens, spent ridiculous amounts of time stepping off putts (kind of silly when the putts were over 40 feet). Not sure what these children were learning, but proper golf etiquette was not on the agenda. Bottom line the children's clinic added over 1 hour to our round - very, very frustrating to say the least. To sum up, we were the first foursome that day and were neither given notice of the poor green conditions nor the 1.5 hour delay resulting from the children's clinic. While I liked the course and layout, the course management and customer service were so poor I will likely never return. read more

came here for a vacation golf with my family, this had the best reviews on a golf app but on here not so well, we tried to play 18 holes, but the carts "had to be back by 8" according to someone who worked here, we were only on 13 and had only 30 mins left until 8, so we did not get our money's worth when we were to tee off at 3:33, which was the earliest time they had available apparently, the fairways are so absolutely dry and the greens are worse, the rough was long you could barely find your ball if it was in the rough, i love the set up of the course i think it's fun and challenging but the upkeep of it was absolutely horrible, also on the card it says you have to stay on the cart path for par 3 holes, greens and one other thing i can't remember, but the guy also said today was a day we weren't allowed to be on the fairways or grass at all we had to stay on the cart path the whole time, which would just have taken so much longer because we would have to walk to each of our balls. overall horrible experience here, doubtful we will ever come back or recommend anyone here again. read more
