Three different rolls plus the quail egg sushi.

You have to go into BONES N SHELLS, dining area to the left. This is the sushi place. Chef here has 40-50 years of experience. Anything you want! No end to the kind of rolls he's made in his lifetime. My favorite is quail egg sushi. I asked him to make a nest of spicy tuna with the egg on top. Yes! Our new favorite place for sushi! Must check this out if you're a sushi lover.

Tried this sushi place since the reviews were good. Would say they have a large selection of rolls. They have a sign apologizing for the increased price of their menu. It varied probably on the fish in the roll you order. One of mine was $5 more than what was on the menu. One didn't change. Presentation was really nice. Fish was nice cuts and tasted relatively fresh.

soooo yummy! This place is so cute! We sat at the high top bar, and our sushi was made fresh right in front of us. Staff was all extremely friendly and nice! We will be back :)

Shrimp udon bowl. So good, lightly spicy (white pepper) and lovely light noodles and shrimp wrappers.

We had a very good experience here at Ocean San Sushi and, once again, Yelp steers us in the right direction. This is definitely a gem for the York area and my co-pilot and I wont waste our time anywhere else. An extensive menu, but that doesn't mean they don't get it right. They do. The do quite a lot of "non-raw" rolls, meaning you have the option of a cooked and served cold roll or a cooked roll that's served warm. The owner told us that's for all the sushi novices out there who are scared of raw fish. Well, we did a bot of both. There are also plenty of soups and rice dishes, so if you're not a sushi hound, there is something for you. We enjoyed the "Miso +" options, so we ordered one with fresh mushrooms-excellent: a portion larger than your average mini-bowl of miso. Co-pilot tried two of the sushi poppers (one crab, one shrimp) for kicks and both were done excellently. For mains she knocked out a Sugar Mamma Roll and I housed the udon noodles with shrimp--the noodles and shrimp wrappers were light, tasty, and amazing. We shall return!

Tried out this place for the first time tonight and it was excellent. Good thing to know is the portions are huge! I had a giant bowl of miso soup with mushrooms, shared a plate of seaweed salad, had super fresh and delicious salmon nigiri and Lisa's Ocean Salmon which was baked with lump crab and dynamite sauce. I will get two more meals out of the leftovers! The restaurant is nice and cozy and the employees (including super chef Sumo) were friendly and welcoming. Will def return!

We order just a few rolls :) look how generous they are with portions! Yum

We learned about this restaurant opening from a friend that works in York. They had their first lunch service open today, so we had made reservations. BYOB...just FYI. I'll grade them from 1-10. Service - 10 Food - 10 Atmosphere - 8 (they need some music or something.. It was a little quiet and two guys at the sushi bar were very loud) Portions - 10 Price - 10 (we thought the prices were a little high until we saw the sushi pcs) GREAT place and we are also glad they were BYOB and located right next door to a winery store. :P

The sushi is good based on our first visit. Went in for lunch on a cold day and decided to try to soup. This was an expensive option but we figure it would be worth it... it wasn't. The dumpling soup was a bland broth. The seafood soup smelled like fish and the noodles were a ball in the bottom and firmly stuck together. After our lunch we both were briefly ill as well. We will probably not return but if we do we will remember- Don't get the soup! Oh the green tea was awful which is odd so I am thinking they had something wrong with the water.

I haven't yet been able to dine in the restaurant (follow up review coming when I do), but I was lucky enough to have takeout the other night. Some of the best seaweed salad and sushi in York, by far. I had a Philadelphia roll that was topped with shrimp (something I have never had on a Philly roll), and it was delicious. Both the sushi and seaweed salad were flavorful and satisfying. It isn't uncommon for sushi to be overpowered when dipped in soy sauce-not the case here. Every bite was great. I've only heard good things about this restaurant and cannot wait to have the full experience!

Our first visit was very nice. We ordered 3 rolls and each was very tasty. The prices seem a bit high, but we will go again and try different rolls the next time.

Steph dynamite, that's a problem, spicy tuna

They even have some boba tea options. Not sure I would trust the mango and strawberry mochi ice cream though. I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen combo which comes with a pork bun and Thai iced tea. I was able to get the Thai tea less sweet. Altogether it was $20 which isn't too bad. Thai tea was as you would expect nothing wrong with it. Pork bun was pretty good, nice soft bun with slices of pork with lettuce, cucumber with a sweet sauce. Spicy tonkatsu ramen was alright, above average for York, PA. It came with a closer to hard boiled half egg, one slice of fish cake, some bamboo, a few slices of chashu that was marinated but a little overcooked, and pink ginger.. Why they would put pink ginger in ramen is beyond me but it was not a good choice. Flavor of broth was good and spicy level is more of a mild. They do have a devil ramen which is much spicier. Ambience was cool, they have a mist machine with purple lights in the middle and a Naruto figure near the door. They also have a small tv playing Naruto episodes non-stop. Service was good too. Servers checked on my at appropriate times. One of the bathrooms was out of service when I came, hopefully they will fix that soon. Overall, worth a visit to get your Ramen fix in York.
