My daughter and I went for a spa day as she prepared for her upcoming wedding. We were greeted warmly and promptly with introductions. We had a quality foot spa treatment followed by massage. The facility was clean and comfortable and all providers professional. The experience was great on all accounts with products refreshing and of quality. There was no attempt at up-charging which was appreciated. My one minor suggestion would be perhaps music or white noise machine as the high ceilings result in some distracting noise like visiting staff, guests or doors opening and closing. The setting was very nice and calming otherwise. We would definitely visit again. read more

We called to get a last minute couples massage after the other place we had booked at in town called US to cancel our scheduled treatments last minute. Anyway, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise because Ocean Spa was great! The facilities are current and clean. The staff were enthusiastic and friendly. And most importantly, the massages were great. I had a wonderful prenatal massage (not something commonly well done!). My friend and I just had a "couples massage" so that we could enjoy some girl time. Our masseuses were Evandro and Steve. I had upgraded my massage to a deep tissue massage and he massaged all of my knots away. The pressure and the flow of the massage were perfect from head to toe! I walked out feeling amazing and so relaxed, and as if I was walking on clouds....the receptionist couldn't tell if I enjoyed my massage. One of my most favorite thing to do to pamper myself is to go to a spa. I was recently at the beach and saw the cutest looking building and then found out low and behold there was a SPA there. I walked in and the friendly staff said, "sure they could fit me in". I had a massage and they even had a glorious steam room that I took complete advantage of. Yummm... is all I can say. My wife and I just finished at Ocean Spa. We were very fortunate to walk in and both get services simultaneously. I had a facial with Kaiser Wallner. She did an amazing job. I was so relaxed I kept going feeling like I was falling asleep but didn't want to because everything felt so good. My wife woke up with severe pain in her upper back under her should blade. I am a chiropractor and had adjusted her but we thought a massage might help relax the muscles and reduce the inflammation. She came out of her massage feeling great! She has been to a lot of different massage therapists over the years and said Karen Morrison was one of the best she has ever had. read more

The two massages I've had with Holli can only be described as heavenly, and it's ruined me for any other massage practitioner! This place is by far the most amazing spa I have ever been. The moment you walk in the dirt your happily greeted . Me my sister and my mom came her for her birthday to have a spa day. First of all we called one hour before our appointment and they fit is all in without any problems. The first thing we sat in a sauna we were in a nice robe and all got to sit together and detoxify ourselves . Next we all got a citrus orange scrub (highly recommended) after that they had this amazing shower then I got a massage and a facial . Christy is who used and I've had at least 50 massages in my day and she was by far the best I ever had . To top this all off they had champagne waiting with strawberries for my moms bday!! My fiancé & I recently visited the Oregon coast and we got a 30-minute foot treatment (sea salt + vanilla oil) and then a 60-minute deep tissue couples massage the next day. I'm giving 4 stars because we had hoped for pedicures, as Yelp shows pics of that and it's why we went, but when we showed up they said they no longer had that service. I was bummed by this and I hope they can update their page! However, the treatments that we did get were awesome!! Very nice staff that were all professional. Clean and cute spa. My only suggestion is that the massage rooms were a little chilly at times and heat would be a great addition :) highly recommend this place though... we will be returning! read more

Nope. I called them and asked if I could get a massage with Holli. The receptionist asked me what day I was available. I said any day except Friday or Saturday. Then she said well...what about today? I said ok. Then she tried to get me to schedule with another therapist. I asked her if she had listened to my request for Holli? She said she could get me in with Holli if I STRONGLY REQUESTED it. I said I shouldn't have to STRONGLY REQUEST anything. Regular requesting should be enough. Then I told her I resented being handled. I heard the receptionist say: OH MY GAWD under her breath to the person sitting next to her and then I said: "OK, I am done" and I hung up. I had a one hour foot treatment here. The entire hour was so relaxing and was involving massage the entire time. I frequently receive massages and various foot treatments while on vacation. Scott was definitely one of the best. So amazing! Worth the money if you want an hour to yourself in a quiet relaxing environment. The spa itself is very clean and organized. I had a gift certificate for a couples massage here. I was very excited since I had never been there before. Upon entering office it was obviously very dirty. Sand, dust, cobwebs everywhere. When we got in the massage beds there was sand in between the sheets. My masseuse didn't wear a mask and breathed the whole time right in my face (smokers breath). I did quite a bit of research to find a great spa for my Wife to go to as a Christmas present this year. After finding Ocean Spa via yelp, I was pleased to see a Groupon deal for a Swedish massage and light therapy session. I called December 12th to schedule the session for today at 2:00PM. I also spoke to the receptionist at that time about additional services we could add (I.e. foot massage, facial etc.) and was told we could call back after Christmas prior to the massage appointment to add the additional services. I called back to do so last week, and was told that my initial appointment was not booked. In retrospect, I should've reacted to this red flag and canceled the service altogether. However, Ocean Spa was able to accommodate opening early for us, as the rest of the day was booked, after I explained that we had a trip to the area planned around the spa date, including an Air BnB. I was pleased and figured everything was squared away. We arrived this morning, and aside from the massage itself, which my Wife said was decent, the rest of the experience was lacking. The front desk didn't welcome her, there were multiple instances where employees were talking about their clients or cleaning in front of her, and she felt rushed in general. I know that might sound a little picky, but ultimately what I wanted for her, and what I'd expect from a Spa with such good reviews, is an overall positive experience where she felt pampered, which she did not. My Wife didn't even stay for the light therapy session after having such a poor overall experience (nor was it mentioned to her by the staff). What would've been at least a palatable experience (one in which you would not have seen a negative review posted), was further soured when the receptionist did not use the credit card I left on file for the additional services and tip. My Wife literally had to pay for her "gift". I am supremely disappointed in the lack of attention to detail displayed by Ocean Spa, which would be more well-suited if it were located in an airport than on Cannon Beach. Update in response to your 01-03-20 reply: A lot of what you said in your response to my review is simply not a true reflection of the events that took place. On December 12th, I was told by your receptionist that the time we discussed was confirmed, "booked". I had a groupon voucher number I could've provided at that time, but was not asked for it. When I called back to add the additional service, I absolutely did provide my credit card number to keep on file for charging the additional cost. It seems that the basis of your retort is either misinformation from your staff (including suggesting that my Wife was asked about her service, which she was not), or that you're trying to devalue my review. Ultimately it's just unfortunate that the service lacked the polish I saw reflected in other reviews of your business. No compensation necessary. Thanks for the response. read more

Let me just start off by saying that I have both worked in spa's and had many spa treatments; from being the guinea pig to indulging in blissful "educational" spa trips and everything in between. On the other side of things I am now a new mom having little time to myself and very different priorities in life. Needless to say, my standards are HIGH when it comes to spending money and time on myself, (even if it's a treat from my husband). After researching online to find the best spot near this area, Ocean spa had very little reviews but the ones they did have were excellent! As a new spa that says a LOT about the overall quality and experience (few glitches and smooth sailing). Also, little random thing, the website was so well designed, with great information on their treatments and I could feel that they truly cared about every step of your experience from site to treatment room. As for my treatments... WOW! I received the ocean deluxe package which starts off as a sauna and light therapy session, moves into a massage (hands down the best massage I have EVER received) and to top it all off the most luxurious signature epionce facial, which has my skin still glowing a week and a half later. Holli is an angel I swear! I walked away floating out of this place and felt instantly my glow was back. Every one of the treatments effortlessly flowed into the next without any awkward pauses or interruptions. As for the products, I am most certain I will be purchasing some of these to add into my at home routine as soon as my currents run out, they are beautiful and my super sensitive skin loves them. My only small piece of advice and I mean TINY, would be to make the entrance experience as luxurious as the rest. Ie, tea ceremony, cucumber lemon water etc, it would add so much more to the already wonderful experience and really help people relax into the full experience. We are staying in Seaside and wanted to spend a rainy day at a spa. After reading some reviews we decided to go with Ocean Spa and thank goodness we did. We did the couples massage followed by 15 min in the sauna. Everything was perfect! The place is quaint, adorable and extremely welcoming. The front desk gentleman went out if his way to fit me in for a massage and help me find the right gift for a friend. I had an excellent deep tissue massage with Scott Ryan! It is rare that I find the real deal when I make a spa appointment but Scott is more of a body therapist then most. I booked a bridal makeup appointment with Ocean Spa and they called to cancel it the night before my wedding (!!!). I understand that emergencies happen, but they don't seem to be very connected to other makeup artists in the area. They ended up having me come in and get made up by their makeup counter girl, who was absolutely terrified. She made me up and wiped me down 5 times (!), which caused me to run super late for my hair appointment. I was pleasant and not at all a bridezilla, but it sucked to leave with just super dark eye makeup (she ran out of time to do lipstick, blush or powder). Because of my experience with Ocean Spa, I hate literally every single one of my wedding pictures and feel sick with humiliation every time someone shares a picture of my wedding day on social media.
