The owners are professional, kind and communicate. Nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable asking for more or less pressure. They want the feedback and cater to your requests. 2. Atmosphere is relaxing, clean and comfortable. Most spas have a more open layout and Ocean Spa is more private and cozy. We did a couples massage and I think my boyfriend fell asleep because he was so relaxed (he won't admit it though) 3. Pricing is on par with the quality and it's close to home. Even if it wasn't close or if we felt the pricing was steep I don't mind paying a little more for quality and this is that. Connie was my Therapist. I did a 90 minutes massage. Connie focus on the problem area and took care of my back pain by release tension. I had a great session. I own a very expensive massage chair and I am certainly happy with it but even the chair doesn't fix my lower back pain. In the first visit I had at Ocean Spa I had told them what was hurting me the most. After a 90 minute massage I walked out of there feeling like I just had surgery to repair a broken back and I was feeling FANTASTIC!!! I can't say enough about how happy and pain free I was. I have a job where I am constantly lifting and moving heavy items and my lower back acts up quite often. First of all let me begin by saying that I was in real need of this spa services as my chiropractor was out of town for a couple additional weeks my boyfriend booked himself and I a couples massage at Ocean spa we went in and I had went to lay on the bed with a Z bar above it thinking that it would be good for them to be able to utilize maybe walking on my back because I was having back issues However I was told very promptly by the woman that my boyfriend was to lay in that bed and I was so late in the other one for what reason I do not know however after a very short amount of time I think I began to know why while I was being prodded by the man giving the massage he did not seem to know any type of technique I noticed that my boyfriend was within five minutes already getting Oil on his back and skin to skin contact which was odd because I didn't receive any oil on my back until almost 30 minutes later throughout the massage I kept having to tell the gentleman to adjust his pressure and his agitation of already sore muscles.. Meanwhile I look over at my boyfriend who is seeming to get a completely different experience than I am the woman was very inappropriately straddling him while rubbing his back and her pubic bone literally it was an inch from my boyfriends head at which point I asked is there a reason why we are having such different experiences with our massages and why I was unable to have the smaller more gentle person working on my back while as my 6 foot two 250 time boyfriend would most likely benefit from the heavier handed of the two after I said some thing I noticed the girl keep looking at me out of the side of her eye and it seemed like she was increasing the amount of inappropriate movements and gestures while massaging my boyfriend and almost laughingly staring at me while doing it I was so frustrated I ended the massage early and walked out of the spa I will never go back and it really ruined my experience for any couples massage in the future never again will I ever be massaged by a man while my boyfriend is massaged by a woman and have to feel that type of uncomfortable ever again read more
