We come here yearly around the same weekend for a family reunion. It works perfectly for our situation because everyone can get their own condo but we can also commune in one together for meals and social time. The prices are reasonable and the condos themselves and the property are clean. Just a note, they do not allow dogs. I took a star off because there's just a few upkeep pieces. Some of the condos are a little outdated. The shower heads in all but a few are incredibly basic and low on the wall, so if you're tall like me, it's a struggle! There's also little bits like torn screen doors that fixing up would go a long way. We keep coming back, so all in all we have a great experience! read more

Stayed in #28 which had an excellent review. The furniture and electronics are kinda dated but was pleasantly surprised how comfy the bed was. Your able to rent movies from the office and they offer an entertainment room with a pool and ping pong table that's open until 9pm. I would defiantly be back if staying in the area again. After reviewing some of the bad reviews as far the view, there is a few rooms that are not facing the ocean. So, just double check your has a view. read more

Black Mold! I planned a beach trip for my wife's birthday. The price was cheap but the pictures made it look like a nice room. Check in was easy and the receptionist was nice. However when I walked in the room there was a heavy chemical smell and I could feel the moisture in the air. When I was looking around the room for extra blankets and such I found a significant amount of black mold in the closet. My family has severe mold allergies and when I showed the front desk the pictures they gave us a refund and we thankfully were able to find another place to stay. If you value your health I recommend staying elsewhere. I don't typically react to black mold but just minutes in the room I could feel my lungs burning and skin itching. read more

I booked this condo last minute for our wedding night- everything else in town was either sold out or very very expensive, so we were lucky to find this place! I called the office, and they were able to accommodate a late check in which was appreciated. I worried that it might not be as nice as I hoped, because I seem to have terrible luck booking stays- but it met and exceeded expectations! The unit we stayed in was very well kept, very clean, and cute. While some fixtures were a bit "vintage," this only added to the charm and looked great paired with newer renovations such as the modern wood/laminate flooring. Plenty of towels were provided, which is a must. 6 each for bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths, as well as kitchen towels. The kitchen had a full sized fridge, stove, sink, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, and coffee maker with complimentary coffee. It also had all the expected items needed to cook and serve a meal. We did book, pay for, and receive an ocean facing room. I'm sad we only booked one night, since we're on a flight tomorrow! We 100% recommend staying at Ocean Terrace Condominiums! read more

The view? None here. The bed? Doesn't get much worse. Luckily I brought my air mattress, pillow and comforter. This place was decorated in the 1980s and needs new everything, linens, furniture fixtures, everything. I thought 5 watt bulbs were only used at motel 6 but not so. Bring your own light if you want to read. Low season $100/night times 30 is $3,000 a month for chrissake buy a decent mattress and upgrade this pathetic hole in the wall to the current century. The pool towels are so pilled that you barely want to pat dry lest ye chafe your skin. The billiards table has large rip, the pingpong table is as old as me. Don't recommend to anyone for any reason. The lights in the bathroom did not work. so I talk to the secretary in the office she was rude and not will to help because we booked on Expedia and not through them would give us a different room or have someone look at the TV and lights this was the first and last time we will ever stay there read more

Was excited to spend time at the coast with my daughter. The room we booked happened to be next to the "picnic" area but it turned out to be a 24 hour smoking/party area. We couldn't even open our windows or our room would be full of smoke and noise. I just wanted to hear the ocean!!! Not people smoking and being loud 24/7!! So disappointed! Also the room was full of small flying bugs and my daughter was so disgusted by the shower she wouldn't shower our whole trip. Lots of room for improvement in cleanliness. There was a white claw can outside our room when we arrived and was still there when we left. We wore socks when we got out of the shower and they were black within minutes also found multiple hairs on the pillow cases when we arrived!! read more

Had a horrible experience here. We ordered pizza, were watching a movie and the people staying downstairs started banging on the ceiling, screaming outside, being obnoxious. I spoke to Ed, the most unhelpful manager of all time, and he didnt do anything about it. He had absolutely nothing to say, other than "we run a tight ship here". We left something in our room, called Ed to let him know we were coming back for it, and he called the police and turned it into the police station instead of just holding onto our property in the office for 30 minutes. Terrible experience. Terrible customer service. Thanks to Ed, we will never be back. read more

We stayed here for couple of nights during summer as a family. It was a very pleasant experience and we all had great time here except for minor things. We took a condominium in the first floor overlooking beach providing excellent view for sunset and perfect picnic spot with benches. Also fully loaded kitchen with king size bed. Just few minor things though like toaster wasn't working and king size bed came with bad mattress causing back pain. Same thing with convertible couch / bed in the living room. read more

Booked a couple of units for a family vacation. I thought I was reserving Oceanside units but ended up with court side units. The ocean view advertised as nonexistent, instead you get a parking lot view of the smokers. No crashing ocean sounds, instead you get constant highway noise from 101. We had units 41 & 38. I'll only comment on 38, as that's where my girls and I stayed. This unit is decades old. Old, warped doors with grimy chipped and peeling paint. As well as all the molding and trim in the unit, just gross! Floors so warped and slanted you consciously have to keep you balance as you go into the living room. The living room swivel chair were broke and wobbly. These units are tiny! Supposedly our unit would sleep six. We had four and were super cramped! That bathroom is so small if you want to close the bathroom door you first have to maneuver around the toilet a d sink to do so. And when you sit on the toilet your knees are about 5-6 inches from the wall! There is only room in the kitchen for one person at a time, one tiny counter to work with and the stove only has three working burners. The one large burner kept falling out of its connection. Honestly, I've had better accommodations at a Hotel 6! I wouldn't recommend these units to anyone, nor would I ever return to this place! read more

Some tips for enjoying Ocean Terrace: 1) Don't insist on one particular room. That's when you have to make reservations months in advance, because they actually have vacancies often. Summer weekends are tough to get, but your longest wait on a room would probably be about a month. 2) Don't starve yourself during your trip here. That's not only stupid and not good for your body, but completely unnecessary. 3) Profit We actually own a condo here and the staff does a good job taking care of it and renting it out for us. Before that, though, we'd stayed here a handful if times in the past in different rooms. They've always been pretty clean and welcoming. The walls are a bit on the thinner side and on the bottom floor you can here stomping from above on occasion, though. Since most of the condos here are individually owned, decor and comfort vary a bit. It's been years since I've stayed in another condo other than ours, but I know there hasn't been one that made us hate it here. If you find one that you love (ahem, maybe #8) you should try to request it. The indoor pool is nothing special, and the sauna is disappointing. There isn't assigned parking spots for rooms, so coming back and night can be frustrating. Apparently our particular condo is located in some sort of crazy black hole because the wifi (free, of course) is sketchy at best. I remember it being a lot more stable in the upper level rooms. There's a strict no pet policy, which is disappointing, but means the grounds are cleaner and there's no dog next door trying to imitate a dying whale all night. Direct access to the beach and a beautiful view from our couch is the reason I give this place 5 stars without a second thought. read more

I use to love coming here a lot during the summer but it is changing. They do not check for sure if the dogs that come here are actually service dogs. This last stay I was woke up twice by barking dogs and they were large "service dogs". In the mean time till I find a different spot to spend my summers. I will stay here but be very selective on what rooms I stay in. Sad it is going down hill. It is great when Ed and the young lady are here very friendly. But young gentleman not so helpful. read more

Well a couple thoughts on this place, we stayed at unit #40 on May 9th, 2015- The biggest gripe I have IMO is the bathroom was very small, basically you could take a dump and brush your teeth at the same time lmao. The Shower, I decided not to take one when my wife said it was eye level. The unit itself, is very dated and has the feeling of staying at your grandmothers place (not that that is a bad thing though) Very Olive Green, so the owner must like Olive Green and Leopard prints lol, since the bedspread, and sofa had them lol. One other gripe, was our neighbors in Unit 39 had the tv loud and was noisy until well past midnight, so perhaps quite time needs to be enforced here. A minor gripe, and this is probably a "waaaa" was my lappy for some reason refused to connect to any of their connections, while my wife's was able to connect to the internet, so that meant no internet for me for the night grrrrrr internet withdrawals are a pain in the butt I tell you! It was horrible! What to do without the internet!!! It was a nice location however, right outside of town, and right on the beach- and we got a good rate at hotels.com, specially on Mothers Day weekend, which this trip was our tenth anniversary celebration. Overall, would I stay here again? I really don't know, might or might not- would depend on several things, and would I recommend this place? Again, I cant say either way. read more

I stayed here in October. The room was very cute and seemed clean so I was happy enough. Then, I couldn't get my laptop to stay connected to the internet and the remote wouldn't do anything to control the TV. I called the office and a nice gal came down and said she didn't know about the internet but put new batteries in the remote. That seemed to work but later I realized it didn't work to turn the TV on or off and changing channels was a real process. I asked the next day about the WIFI and she said many of the rooms don't have good internet. I had an online meeting the next morning and I was told that the bench under the office (outside) got good WIFI so I could sit down there. The meeting was important so I literally sat freezing on the bench for over an hour. The fridge froze nearly everything I had in there so had to toss some food. The pool/rec building closed at 7pm which seems early, anyway, but the ice machine is in there so there was no access after they locked the door. The stairway down to the beach was blocked off so I had to walk a couple of blocks to get to the beach. I wrote to them about all of the issues when I got back and never heard a word. I had booked a stay next October but I have canceled that one. read more

We almost always stay here when we come to Lincoln City. We have found the condos fairly comfortable and close to most of the things we like to do on our visits. Unfortunately on this trip we have had people staying above us with kids that stomp around non stop the entire time we have spent in the condo. It has gotten to the point of shaking the light fixtures. Very loud and annoying. So unsettling. We may have to ask next time we come not to be placed below a family or choose a different place to stay. read more

We stayed in room #4, this was our second time staying there (in the same room, the "seahorse" room. The views are spectacular, picnic tables out back are very cute and nice to use, and beach access is VERY steep but still doable with our child. Very nice to have the full kitchen. However, we have serious complaints about the mattress in this room. It was sooooo soft, almost like it was broken in the middle, as it just sunk right it and we rolled to the middle no matter what. Our previous stay here was fine and we even stayed two nights last time, so not sure if this is a new, terrible mattress or what. Also we had to hookup the DVD player ourself in living room, which wasn't too difficult to switch cables around. But also had to go move the same cable to bedroom to watch a movie in there at night, since there was nothing connecting it to the TV in there. Only other complaint is a serious lack of seahorse decor, in what is a "Seahorse " themed room. Literally one tiny sea horse figurine in bathroom . Will attempt maybe a different room with hopefully a much more comfortable mattress next time. read more

We stayed in unit 38 my only complaint is that they do not advertise this part of the building only the one that has porches facing the beach which kind of sucked but was still nice and clean. We loved having the heated pool, sauna, pool and ping pong tables. I wouldn't come back and stay in the same string of units but would definitely come back to stay in the ones with the actual beach view. read more

We decided on an impromptu beach get-away for my birthday weekend for my family of 5 this weekend (Yes, I know...the beach in March, but we have so much fun in Lincoln City and Newport regardless). I did some online surfing for decent hotel rates, and remembered that my parents and I stayed here as a kid a few times and it was good times. There are quite a few appealing things about Ocean Terrace. Firstly, I have three kids...so the fact that they have rooms that can hold 5-6 people, AND have a separate sleeping quarters for the parents is awesome. Secondly, it's literally right on the beach, which is very nice for the kids and early morning strolls. Thirdly, the price. In the off season, you can get a room from between $90.50 (non ocean view) to about $140 depending on if it has an ocean view and the size during the off season. With three boys, that's a great deal when we would otherwise have to pay for 2 rooms at an average of $120 each room a night elsewhere. So that's the pre-visit pro's. Here is our experience. Check in was fine. We stayed in #37, which was cute and cozy. It had dated decor, but it seemed appropriate as this was the older part of the building (in the back, non ocean view). This portion was probably built in the 30's and had the charming old features, with a couple important updates like newer hardwood floor and carpet. It had a kitchenette which had a newer stove, but a fridge from probably the 60's. Everything was clean and we were pleased to see dishes were provided. We were sold the room however with the expectation that it slept 5-6. The only difference from the more expensive room being that this had a queen bed, and no view...fine by us. What we actually got was a queen bed, and a murphy queen bed. The third, fold out sofa bed we were expecting had 2 issues. One, the way the owner had laid the living room out, physically prevented the sofa bed from being opened while the murphy bed was out. Second, the sofa bed was broken anyway. We found this out after we tried to improvise and have my younger two sleep on the leather couch and love seat, and discovered it didn't fold out at all, AND the bed had no sheets on it (which we were going to use on the couches, P.S. No extra linens but an extra comforter). This was VERY irritating to find out at 9 PM when all we wanted to do was go to sleep. The office closed at 9 PM, but opted to not bug the night manager since it wasn't an emergency. Our bed in the small bedroom off the kitchen however was thankfully very clean and surprisingly VERY comfortable. I also loved the fact that they had the full direct tv channel package so I got to get my HGTV fix while drifting off to sleep. (Don't judge lol) Another oddity, which is probably unique to the older back portion of the condos, is the entire unit was at a slant as if it was tilted to one side. I felt like I was on a boat! The bathroom was old fashioned and SO tiny, but very clean. The shower was one of those super old type where you feel like you are standing in a dark, enclosed tile mausoleum with no light and only a manual vent window inside to let steam out. Great water pressure but if you aren't 5 feet tall or from the 1930's it hits you about in the chest. The walls were paper thin, you could hear everything going on...but thankfully the complex was rather quiet. We took the kids to the pool to swim, and it was the same exact pool I remembered as a kid. It's decent sized, and goes to 7 feet. There is no hot tub however, which I was bummed about...but they do have a sauna, pool and ping pong table. All in all though, I think for the price we got it was pretty decent. As I understand it, the units are individually owned so this can both work for or against you if you have a favorite unit, or a least favorite unit as style, decor and consistancy vary. This particular one was clean and decent, but the bed situation was a major downer. It would not however, prevent me from selecting a different unit in the future. read more

Bed bugs!!!!! I was laying in bed reading my Kindle and felt a tickle on my arm. I swept it off and minutes later felt something on my leg. I used the light of my kindle to look and it was a bed bug. We had to leave in the middle of the night and find another hotel...without bed bugs!!!! Forever grossed out! read more

Found this place through Tripadvisor which had many good reviews and this was exactly what we were looking for. This is like a 1 Bedroom apartment for the price of a hotel room but it is well worth the price, very spacious and best of all it has good oceanfront views in every room in the building. The room we reserved on the website had a description that this was recently renovated and it did look pretty new and not outdated. They had granite countertops in the Kitchen and the kitchen was well stocked with all cutlery, utensils, toaster, microwave etc. The room had a spacious king bed and enough cupboards for storage. We didn't make it to the beach behind the hotel but it was within walkable distance from the property. They do provide towels in the bathrooms but there is no maid service for short stays that are less than 4 nights. I think if you stay for a week or so they have maids clean up the room once in 3 days or so. You could also get towels in the front desk if you need them. Definitely looking forward to staying at this place again during our next trip. read more

We stayed in unit 5 (or 105 technically, I think). While the unit was VERY clean, it smelled horribly. Old, musty, moldy. So gross. Everything we brought, including our two pack n plays, had to be cleaned thoroughly when we got home as the smell was so bad. The bed was old and dingy, terribly uncomfortable. The pool was out of service, which was a bummer as we weren't notified when we reserved two days prior to arrival. The view of the ocean is top-notch! We would totally visit again, just not in that specific unit. read more

All the units in the front have wonderful ocean front views thanks to large sLiding glass windows.We always have a wonderful time when we stay here. Can walk to Mo's on the beach.
