I had to remake a whole entire bed in one of the rooms because it was covered in animal hair so there was no double check or cleanliness check. I don't think in that room. It was totally obvious as soon as I started to rearrange the pillows on the bed I noticed all the dog hair all over and I had to rewash my sheets. They did bring sheets to us later, but still that's not what I wanted to do as soon as I already paid a $30 fee to get us in one hour earlier, which I've never really heard of and if you rent Airbnb from him, mom and Pop, then I don't think that they would've done that either. It's all about money to corporation so if you want to not experience a personal stay, do not stay with Meredith lodging

Our party stayed at Sandpiper Retreat in Waldport and after getting settled in we already noticed there was some leftover trash in spots of the garage and crumbs in various places of the house. Not going to ruin the trip and we didn't care, however, 4 hours later we were hearing strange noises around the house and then what did we find? A family of RATS in the garage, Eeeek!!! Reached out to Meredith and they have a very firm "no refunds" and "cleanliness is never 100% guaranteed" policy. Needless to say our trip was completely ruined, waste of money, and we high tailed it out of there and found a hotel nearby. The one funny thing is that one of the neighbors was walking their dog and asked us as we were leaving, "Still got critter issues going on?" (while chuckling). I don't know if RATS are that common along the Oregon Coast but I don't think it's appropriate to rent out a property unless there is complete assurance that the rental is pest free. We deal with enough raccoons when we go camping and this was not expected when booking a "classy" rental. Seems high quality pictures are used for the rentals, and then maintenance and upkeep take a back seat because the way this company operates is taking in bookings, no refund policy, deliver low quality service and send you on your way. If you book with Meredith, you'll never book with them again and quite frankly......they don't care! :)

Olivia Beach is the dregs. Constant construction by loud workers and trucks. The houses are pseudo cape cod that are so close together, a person has no privacy, and your kids can jump from roof to roof. Upon checking in to the property to find a homeless tarp shelter with trash scattered everywhere directly below the house and deck which was extremely obvious. This was immediately reported to the property management company who knew of the homeless shelter along with the property owner and claimed they could do nothing about it and "not to be concerned about it". I did not pay this type of money to have a homeless camp built directly adjacent to the property. I contacted the police to find out the homeless shelter had been there since October 2024 and nothing had ever been done to remove it. I tried reasoning with the property management company via VRBO and was told there was nothing they were willing to do to resolve the issue so I filed a claim with my credit card company for the charges. I was lied to by Oregon Coast Beach Vacation Rentals and will never use them or VRBO again for any rentals.

I host a short term rental myself And When my future guest have a request I do what it takes to accommodate - free!!! after looking at the calendar no one had been in the place for 5 days so I asked for early check in. I was told it would cost $50. I was insulted with this response. I'm spending $5k and they want to charge me for this request. it's Friday afternoon I'm expecting guests for my final weekend- we had a menu for all 5 meals for 5 people. it's 5:30 , we start to cook and the propane runs out. I Call the office, they have nobody to come fill up the propane tank until Monday. No fireplace and no cooking. i was disappointed- we ate most of our meals out- thank goodness PC has some great restaurants- I asked for late check out - again $50. The cleaning staff was parked in the driveway watching us pack out. I asked for a credit for next year. The response " it was only three days". No accommodating for the hardship. It also has a great beach access with an amazing overlook. 10/10 and this may be where we stay for all future Lincoln city visits.
