This was our second time staying at this property and both times we have been very impressed! The sunset views from each unit we have stayed in were both amazing! (Last time we stayed in the "Seacliff Loft"). We really enjoyed being able to relax while listening to the calm sound of the ocean at night. We especially appreciated having a full kitchen that allowed us to prepare and store our meals as needed. The property is well maintained with very comfortable, modern and clean condos. The reservation and check-in/check-out process with Keystone was simple and easy. We are already looking forward to our next trip along the beautiful Oregon coast and definitely plan on staying at The Village condos again as we make our way down the coastline!

However, the experience with the property management company left a negative impression. Several basic items commonly found in comparable rentals--such as coffee, adequate soap, napkins, and other simple kitchen or bathroom essentials--were either missing or insufficient. When I reached out with constructive feedback, the responses were dismissive and at times unnecessarily argumentative. I also asked for clarification on their stated "policy" regarding consumables, but no meaningful explanation or documentation was provided. What was most disappointing was not the missing items, but the tone and lack of customer-focused service. In the hospitality industry, professionalism and responsiveness matter. Unfortunately, that was lacking here. While the unit itself was good, we would not choose to book through this management company again.

The good: I like that they have designated smoking machines that help keep the majority of the floor clear and lower smoke. As someone with allergies, this is a HUGE improvement. I also like that they had free soft drinks and teas available at all times, I do not remember this being a feature at other casinos I've visited. Every staff member we interacted with was nice, polite, and helpful. We were there in the evening (11pm or so) and there were still plenty of options for food available. There were MANY machines to choose from, along with table games. The not so great: I hate that there is no buffet! I loved the old buffet they used to offer but it seems that went away during pandemic times. There was also not a lot of seating for the sit down dining options like the sandwich shop or taco bar. It would be helpful if there were cleaning supplies, even wet wipes, so that people can wipe down the tables before sitting down. We had to use water and napkins, which weren't the most sturdy but worked in a pinch.

The property itself is beautiful, and we were genuinely excited to experience everything it had to offer. Unfortunately, our interaction with one employee, the pit boss named Lolly, completely overshadowed what could have been a wonderful first visit. We were directed by the casino cage/cashier to speak with Lolly regarding guest incentives and whether any fees or promotional offers were available. We frequently visit casinos throughout the country and have received similar accommodations elsewhere, so we simply wanted to ask what was available. The cage staff specifically told us that Lolly was the person we needed to speak with. From the moment we approached her, she made it abundantly clear that she didn't want to talk to us. Rather than greeting us or taking a few moments to answer our questions, she appeared eager to rush us away and treated us as though we were an inconvenience. While I completely understand that every casino has different policies and that the answer to our request could have been "no," there is a respectful and professional way to communicate that. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. What was especially disappointing was hearing her describe Chinook Winds as "just a small tiny casino" that couldn't offer very much to guests. That statement diminished the very property she represents. This is a beautiful casino and resort, and its employees should be proud ambassadors for it, not leave guests with the impression that it has little to offer. I truly hope I never have another interaction with someone who feels entitled to treat people with the level of rudeness we experienced. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to engage with someone like Lolly. Her attitude created an unnecessarily negative experience and reflected poorly on an otherwise beautiful property. That said, I also believe exceptional employees deserve to be recognized, because several members of your staff completely restored our faith in the customer service at Chinook Winds. Danielle, who paid one of our jackpots, was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, thoughtful, personable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Heather was another standout employee. Her positive energy was contagious as she walked the casino floor. She cheered us on during bonuses and celebrated with other guests who were winning. You could tell she truly enjoys her job, and that enthusiasm made the casino more fun for everyone around her. I also want to recognize Dianna, who was working at the floor bar. She was incredibly warm, compassionate, and sincere from the very beginning--even before I shared that we were simply passing through on our way to medical appointments for my husband. After learning why we were traveling, every time we walked by she would smile and say she hoped everything went well with my husband's doctors and that we would win big that night. Those weren't rehearsed customer service comments--they felt genuine, caring, and heartfelt. Danielle, Heather, and Dianna are exactly the kind of employees every organization hopes to have. They went above and beyond simply doing their jobs--they made people feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued. They are outstanding representatives of Chinook Winds and the reason we left with at least some positive memories despite our unfortunate interaction with Lolly. I sincerely hope management recognizes the incredible work of Danielle, Heather, and Dianna while also addressing the level of customer service we experienced with Lolly. One employee should never have the ability to tarnish the reputation of an otherwise beautiful resort, especially when so many others are working so hard to create a welcoming experience.

During a multi-year search for a second home on the coast, we worked with several agents before finding Nadine and she raises the bar for real estate professionals! She knows the area and alerted us to issues we didn't even consider. She was responsive and responsible. We recommend her highly and would not buy or sell a house in the Lincoln City area unless she was on our side. We adore her!

I called and spoke to Dustin Hankins ("Dusty") and was impressed with him immediately over the phone. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We decided we would take a trip up from California and Dusty lined up a number of homes for us to see in the 4-5 days we would be there. He was super responsive via text, phone calls and emails and really helped us narrow down our search to the properties which best met our criteria. When we arrived in Lincoln City and met Dusty, he was just as nice and helpful in person as he had been from afar. Dusty was always professional and always punctual. He was very accommodating, and was happy to add additional homes onto our list once we were in town. After finding the home we wanted, Dusty was willing to go to bat for us, negotiating the deal we wanted. When we signed our paperwork, both Dusty and Nadine were so accommodating with our one and two year old boys .. entertaining and feeding them in the office! Once we returned home, Dusty continued to go above and beyond helping us with many different tasks, even after we closed. He even helped us move in once we came back to town!!! Not only is Dustin Hankins a great realtor, but he is the nicest person you want to meet .. and someone we now consider a great friend!

I liked how they offered lots of little branded aneminites such as shower packs, kitchen packs and hot tub cleaner. The only thing that I didn't care for was the very strict check in/check out times. Check in is at 4 and you get access by text only. Check out is promptly 10 AM! That seems extremely early especially for the prices you are paying. I asked for either an early check in or late check out and was denied which is fine but if checkout were a little later it would've been extremely helpful.

There was hair in the bed, stains on the sheets and comforter, visibly dirty floors, stained rugs, and a kitchen sink that drained very slowly. We were told laundry detergent would be provided, but there were no pods available. The home also lacked basic cleaning supplies, which was especially concerning given its condition when we arrived. The BBQ was clearly not properly cleaned or maintained. It had so much buildup that it caught fire inside and produced enough smoke to set off the home's fire alarms. The dryer also took an extremely long time to dry clothes. The hot tub was another major disappointment. We contacted the property in advance because of concerns in previous reviews, including reports of bacterial infections, yet it was still disgusting and had a strong fishy smell when we arrived. Someone was sent to "clean" it, but the solution appeared to be little more than adding chemicals. We still did not feel comfortable using it, and it did not appear to be thoroughly drained and cleaned between guests. The game room and kids' areas were also poorly maintained. Games had broken nets, missing pieces, or were falling apart, and some children's chairs were broken and unsafe. Several remotes either didn't work, had dead batteries, or were missing, and promised replacements never arrived. The listing also significantly understates the walk to the beach. It is definitely longer than a two-minute walk and includes a substantial hill--important information for anyone traveling with young children or elderly family members. We were also disappointed by the lack of flexibility with early check-in. Even 30 minutes early would have been helpful, and there did not seem to be a meaningful reason it could not be accommodated. Ultimately, you are paying a premium primarily for the view, but the home itself is not worth the price. It needs better cleaning, maintenance, and basic upkeep. We left feeling that the listing overstated the property and that a major advertised amenity--the hot tub--was unusable. I would strongly recommend saving your money and booking with a private host or smaller rental company that may provide better hospitality and take better care of the property.
