This experience left a lasting negative impression and raises serious concerns about guest safety and how such situations are managed. They offer a golf cart ride down the street to drop you off. When you are at the beach house you let them know you're staying with the Bahia and entitled to certain discounts. So the staff is attentive and courteous. The pool looks good but it was primarily empty. The food looked good - we had breakfast there and it was very good. The beach house has an open area to sit down inside with shade, and there's a small sectioned off area on the beach in the sand. You get waitstaff to get drinks for you. At times it can get really crowded, but then again it was busy there - right after Spring Break. It is quite loud and noisy there - with music and crowds. The rooms - were very nice. The bed was king, it was firm, it was comfortable, it was clean. There was also an extra small bed aside for guests - we never used it. It is spacious. The bathrooms were nice and clean too. The doors are heavy and secure, so make sure when you leave they are completely closed and locked because one night we thought so - but it did not latch. We came back and the door was open, we freaked out, but all was good and safe. We were lucky. Just make sure the door is secure and latched and you'll be fine. But overall I thought this place was great and I would recommend them. The rooms are very nice and clean. Staff was accommodating. If you're okay with it not being exactly on the beach then you'll be fine here.

Upon checking in, they will take your bags for you and offer you a welcome drink. They'll also scan your passports. The rooms are very pretty! A classic Spanish, almost Greek style - there's beautiful tiles all around and lots of colorful flowers in every corridor. The rooms all have a couch, living room area, kitchen with microwave and small fridge, and a small dining area. There's free coffee and creamer and they give lots of water bottles. Restrooms are very modern and pretty. There is hot water. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, soaps are all provided. Towels are changed everyday. There are also robes in the closet + hangars if you need. The service is pretty great here. We asked for multiple things throughout our stay (like a wine opener, straws, etc) and they were super accommodating. Everyone is very very friendly and nice. There's a pool area which was very beautiful. No jacuzzi, but its so hot anyway. You can order meal service by the pool - alcohol, smoothies, cocktails, you name it. We also got a hotel add-on for a picnic - picnic blankets under large beach umbrellas on their grass so you're not sitting directly in the sun. They serve charcuterie, a few bottles of wine, and some delicious chicken sandwiches. The meals here are ok. For dinner, I got the pork belly tacos and the pulled pork tacos. Both were ok but the price is hefty (about $11 per taco)! The free continental breakfast in the mornings is not bad. There's a buffet area with lots of fruit, granola, pastries, and some hummus/chips. You can also order eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. Overall, I'd give their meals a 3/5. The next time I'm in Cabo, I would want to try an all-inclusive resort. But for non-all-inclusive, it was nice to stay here. I recommend it!

My husband and I both got sick after eating their fish tacos. And the resort next door had the loudest live entertainment that kept us up all night. I Gave them two stars, because the breakfast was good and the views were amazing! And overall the property was pretty clean. I just wish more people were honest with what I should expect. I wouldn't have booked our wedding anniversary here if I had proper expectations.

The only thing that was slightly outdated and the staff was consistently a bit loud as early as 8am the morning when one might want to try to sleep in a little longer while on a vacation. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind staying here again.

The beach area is lovely, also lacking shade unless you grab a beach side cabana, although we never had trouble finding a few free ones. The ocean here is brutal, even at this "only swimmable beach" in Cabo. My 6'5/300lbs husband and other friends were getting tossed around. There's a spa that definitely has some high priced services, but as a reserve member we were able to use the spa sauna, steam room, and pool area with a reservation. Entertainment at the resort was good . Jesus had the mornings activities and the DJ was ok during the day with some current tunes and some oldies. The resort had different activities every night. (Like karaoke)...This is not a party hotel, if you want to party, you need to head out to Cabo San Lucas for that. We loved that fact that it had enough activity but not all night. Instead, floaters are only permitted at the main pool--which is filled with children and noise. For a hotel at this price point, this feels very restrictive and not guest-friendly. If you're expecting a relaxing pool experience, this policy makes it difficult to enjoy your stay. I have stayed at multiple Montage properties and this one has been extremely disappointing. I do not recommend this hotel. There are far better ones in the area such as the Esperanza and the Four Seasons.

Complimentary guac with choose ur own mix-ins was really cute. The beach is public but Montage is one of the few resorts in Cabo that has a swimmable beach. It was pretty busy the day we arrived but was less busy afterwards. We came in September so it was off-season. The resort was pretty empty in the daytime; like 10 people max at the pools. The Mezcal restaurant was our favorite spot we tried on the trip (on and off resort). The food was amazing and the gym was nice too. They even have a reformer pilates machine. Concierge and front desk were super helpful. Such an amazing experience for my first time in Mexico. Came for my birthday and would come back to my room everyday to see something special. We booked a private beach dinner for our last night and it was so gorgeous; including torches and a bonfire. Everything was so gorgeous from the landscaping to the rooms and views. So grateful.
