The look of the salon is very clean and well laid out and they have a rather large selection of nail polishes that are organized by color making it very easy to choose. Had to ask twice for my big toe cuticles to be cut better. Had dry skin hanging off the tip of my big toe. Asked for it to be fixed, they didn't want to until I asked for the clippers to do it myself. Still have a dry skin peeling spot on tip of my big toe. My feet are more dry leaving then when I arrived. read more

I had made an appt for a pedicure and manicure. I ended up just having the pedicure. The girl doing my feet was in a hurry, in fact she finished the pedicure in about 20 minutes. After she cut my nails I asked her to cut them shorter...her response was " I already cut them" ! She reluctantly made them shorter but I could tell she was upset. This was my first trip to Oceana and it will be my last. read more

I went with friends to get a pedicure and we were disappointed in the service. They tried to upsell us constantly which was odd. When we went to pay, the woman checking us out had the audacity to tell us that our 15% tip was not sufficient. We felt that, given the mediocre service, that tip was appropriate. The manager berated us as we left, challenging our poor tipping. There are more than enough easy spots to get a quality manicure in Southampton- do yourself a favor and try somewhere else! read more

The pedicure was average. After we paid the woman told us that the tipping was 15-20%. We already tipped 15%. We were offended that she thought she could tell us the gratuity we paid. We will not be returning. Get some manners. read more

I had a great gel manicure and basic pedicure here. I was rushing and so two women helped me, one doing nails while the other did my feet - it was like having my own pit crew!! They did a really great job and I got great service from a friendly staff! Oh, and I agree that they try to upsell but that doesn't bother me - I stayed firm on what I wanted and they were very nice about it. Can't hurt to try :) Overall, a great experience and great value. It's frustrating when you go to a nail salon to get a simple manicure/pedicure and the ladies try to up-sell you to a different pedicure, insistently, telling you that it's only a few dollars difference, when the final bill is twice as much. If I wanted to get the 'oceana spa' with it's huge poster in unintelligible english, then I would've asked. The woman who did my manicure was rushing so much it made me feel stressed; half haphazardly filed my nails and sloppily applied my nail polish. I don't like being scammed, pressured or falsely informed to, especially at a nail salon. I'll stick with perfect nail, thanks. read more

I work in the area and have been getting pedicures at the other salons for almost 15 years. After going to Oceana last summer I will never go anywhere else! They are clean, polite (unlike Perfect Nails which I walked out of once because they were awful) and do not harass you into getting anything you don't want. They are very reasonably priced for the area and I never have to wait when I go in. My only complaint is that last time I went I picked a color off the wall, like I always do, and suddenly there was an up-charge of $3 for the Essie polish I picked. For a few bucks more I could buy a whole bottle! read more
