By far the lowest quality gel pedicure I have EVER had. Thao did my toes. I had old gel on my toes that needed to be removed and she removed the old gel BY USING A CUTICLE NIPPER TO RIP ALL OF THE GEL OFF. Gel needs to be SOAKED OFF. That should have been my first to clue to get up and leave right there. She filed my toes so roughly I had little cuts on my skin. Cuticle work was nonexistent. She filed my heels so carelessly and fast that she rubbed the skin on my ankle or foot more than my heel, which of course HURT. Massage lasted less than 30 seconds per foot. The gel on my toes is uneven and has bubbles. One week later, it's lifting at the edges. They had the audacity to charge $53 for this garbage. Avoid this salon at all costs. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon every 2 weeks for the last 3 years. I've been getting manicures every 2 weeks for 5 years now and I'm very particular about who does my nails. I'm lucky to have long, natural nails but some nail salons in the past have damaged them or thinned them to the point that I had to took vitamins! Lan, Lou and Julie and the rest of the staff are great. They familiarize themselves with their clients very quickly and remember details. What really got me hooked here was their quality of work. I did end up spending $15 more for the same service here, but it was worth it. I'm not sure where these negative reviews are coming from. I think a lot of people forget that manicures don't last forever. Rarely do they even last 2 weeks, depending on the type (gel, dip, regular.) When I've had a nail chip or polish chip, they have always fixed it for me at no charge and they have always been good about that with other customers too. This place is clean and they sanitize their equipment. They even sanitize their pedicure area after each wash. I will continue going here for as long as they're open! read more

This is my go-to nail salon. I am always helped and seated within the first 5 minutes of my appointment. The technicians are professional and personable, making the experience comfortable and familiar. I've been going here since before Covid, and they have always given importance to the safety and cleanliness of the salon, themselves, and all customers. My nails always come out looking the way I expect and ask, and I love when they put their own twists abs character into the final touches. Lan is my FAVORITE technician. A box marked clean tools is where my manicurist pulled clippers from then after using th hem on me put them back. Then the scrubby used on my feet was washed and put back to use again on some one else. My experience started great as I was able to get in right away. The lady pushed a few options for gels on me, even though I was looking at some different colors. I didn't understand if the polish was better or what. She ended up making my pinky finger bleed. Besides that she did a decent job and the massage was nice. I'm a long time customer of Ocean's - it's nice and convenient. Most of the staff is very gracious. I'm sadly writing this because I've been disappointed with my last few appointments. There is no consistency with the nail techs - some do a great job, while others - well not so great They've lost a few employees - Leah and Angela with no replacements hired, others taking weeks if not months long vacations leaving them short staffed. The staff is tired, when they are overworked (working hours without breaks) they become crabby, and do sloppy work. Additionally, the inability to speak English with some of the tech's is difficult, trying to tell them - my nail is split (for example) and it's not understood, it's frustrating. I'll continue to be a customer - convenience and price. But, my tolerance is swaying. I hope they get it together. read more

Some of the women's English wasn't perfect, but I would give the job they did on my nails a 90%. The interior really played out the name. It felt like an ocean inside: a fish tank, some blue paint. Used to go here for the quality however after leaving on Saturday with now 2 infected toes from a regular pedicure I'm not sure I trust this place to change my color. Little to no communication from the tech other than hovering over me while I try to find a color and asking me how much of a tip I was leaving her. I got nothing even in the remarks of "Yes your nails are dry". Now I have to go to the doctor to find out how bad the infection is from a simple pedicure. The woman who did my pedicure was very sweet and did a fantastic job, but unfortunately the experience was ruined by miscommunication from the woman who was working the front desk. She quoted me a price for a manicure and pedicure. I had said that I wanted gel. At the end of my pedicure she came by and told me a price that was 33% higher than she had quoted only minutes earlier. She claimed she assumed I only wanted gel on my hands, not my feet. At no point had I told her that I only wanted gel on my hands, and she watched my pedicurist give me a gel pedicure and didn't say anything until the end. When I expressed my disappointment at the error, she not only refused to honor the price she quoted but was also very short with me. My poor pedicurist was very apologetic (it was not her fault). This was a rare treat for me and I ended up having to skip the manicure altogether due to cost. I will not be back. read more

I had a very pleasant experience at Ocean's Spa and Nails. I walked right in and was in a chair within 10 min. However, I paid $35 for a gel manicure that is chipped and peeling within 7 days of my manicure. Not worth the price. Wish that they would offer to fix it for free. read more

Honestly, I loved it. I just moved here from California and have been to every sort of salon. This is definitely pricey. 35 for a gel mani, but they massage your back and your arms - unreal. The gel does look like it may peel sooner than two weeks, so I will follow up, but the massage was so good that I'll be back. First time I've ever skipped the pedi with my mani because they were slammed. I've never seen so much foot traffic in and out. Well the staff was very nice. She held conversation and was very easy to talk to the entire time. However I called ahead and made an appointment and still had to wait twenty minutes when I got there. I've been going to Ocean's Spa for the past couple of years, and love the environment and the nail stylists. They are professional and the quality of their work is consistently excellent, with very few exceptions. I love the Spa itself--very relaxing and the giant fish aquarium is wonderful to watch as I get manicured. This is a great group of people, with very little turnover in staff, which tells me it is also a good place to work. The location (near Starbucks) with plenty of on street parking make it very convenient, even if you don't live near Excelsior and Grand. read more

The name is misleading, it is a drive through service. Their manicures/pedicures are terrible. The lady (sorry forgot her name) gave me a 15 minute pedicure, spent 2 minutes removing the cuticles (snap-snap) and scrubbed my feet for a minute. At first I thought it was a joke and thought she'd come back and do some more scrubbing. I realized I was wrong when she started applying the nail polish. I walked out upset with a terrible pedicure (if you can even call it that) and w/out a manicure. I ended up giving myself a pedi/meni at home. Avoid this place! read more
