The waitress seemed rushed and inattentive to my needs, which made the situation more frustrating. While the chef did apologize, we were still charged for the food despite the error and long delays. We were seated immediately and our waitress was prompt in taking our drink order and received them quickly. Their menu isn't very large but as we found out they run a large amount of specials that pretty much doubles their menu. They are a scratch made kitchen so everything is made to order, the reviews I saw that there were slow were sort of in accurate. Good food takes time! We ordered 3 pieces focaccia, penne vodka with chicken, veal sinatra and Lobster and ricotta stuffed ravioli in an Alfredo sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, shrimp and more lobster in the sauce. This was one of many special for the day. All the dish were rich and full of flavor! The portions were large and filling. I have to say this probably the best Italian meal we have had in a long time. We didn't have room for dessert but as we left we saw the case and all looked delicious. The only criticism I have is that it was on the warm side in the restaurant but I understand why. The restaurant has about 34 seats and four were occupied, plus us. She ignored us. When she finally came over, she did not say hello, did not introduce herself, did not say welcome. She said. "yeah?" We ordered. She did bring the food. She plopped the two Coke bottles on the table. We had to ask for glasses and ice. A big sigh and a huff but she did bring the glasses. When we were done eating, she came by with the credit card machine and said, "Cannoli?" We said no thank you just the bill. She walked away. Then she cleared a table (one couple left) and no one else came in. She straightened the chairs, made personal phone calls, walked around and finally brought the bill. We could not understand why she acted that way. We were nicely dressed, were polite, no complaints made. Nothing negative on our part. Even if she was having a bad day, there was no reason to be like that to us. There are so many restaurants in this area where you are treated nicely. The wife ordered the mahi mahi which was the special of the day and unfortunately was seriously overcooked. I figured this was a special and not something they cook regularly hence not having complete mastering of preparing this fish. Here are my only comments for why I gave a 4 star vs 5 star: 1. The portions are huge and normally this shouldn't be a problem but the chef would do better to cut the portions literally by 50%. By the time the entree came along I was already stuffed since everything was super yummy and I couldn't really stop eating. The sides were absolutely enormous for each dish lol. 2. Service was very good but I wish someone would've came around to clean up the crumbs on the table top. Also, the plates were large due to portions which made it very difficult to fit all the servings on the table. I would recommend using a plate riser to fix this issue or make the portions smaller and use smaller plates. We had a problem with having enough room on the table. 3. Our server was super nice and awesome. It must've been a shift change and I saw her leave and didn't let us know so I wasn't sure how best to tip since I really appreciated her service. I would hope next time to let patrons know this so we can take care of staff accordingly during a shift change. Also on another side note, I love lamb chops and unsure how the chef prepared it but somehow was able to mask the full taste of lamb. This is neither a positive or negative just an observation and personal preference. I tend to enjoy the taste of lamb while others may not. I have to laud the skill of the chef for their skill in doing so since this was a 1st time experience for me for not being able to taste distinct lamb flavor in lamb chops. Altogether a memorable experience and my critique is based on attention to detail which I feel this restaurant would've been perfect if these 3 items fell better into place for us.
