Nick came to my home to give me an estimate for a new roof. He emailed me a couple of estimates, and he even followed up with me after I took my time to review the bids, to see if I had any questions. After I informed him that I was going with another contractor, he texted me back to thank me for the opportunity to provide me a bid, and said if I have any Roofing needs in the future, to feel free to reach out to them in the future. One of them said it wasn't possible to repair my 3 tab shingles with the new architectural shingles, so I should get a new roof. After meeting with my insurance adjuster, he basically vanished once he realized insurance wasn't going to approve a new roof....leaving my roof unrepaired and uncovered for almost 2 weeks. Another roofer scheduled to come out the next day, but then didn't show up for the appointment. Johnny was God sent...he was honest and said it was ok to do the repair with the architectural shingles as long as I was ok that it's going to look different. We went ahead with the roofing patch and Eddy came out. Eddy did an awesome job on the repair and the patch actually matches well with my old shingles. They re-roofed my entire house, so it took almost a week to finish. I was expecting a walk through after everything was complete, but I got no call after completion and had to assume everything was done. When going on the roof, here are a couple things I noticed: (1) old roofing material all through out the gutters (2) 75% of my gutter clips were all broken (3) lots of loose nails throughout the yard, gutters and roof (4) rusty razor blade laying on the roof Unfortunately, Revolusun uses them as their exclusive roofers so you don't have a choice. But if you do have a choice, think twice.

I had hired MRC to fix my back roof to my Manoa residence in 2013. MRC matched the color scheme of…read moremy middle roof as close as possible. I was so pleased with MRC's workmanship and color selection that I hired MRC to roof my new recreation room in 2022 to match the rear roof and again I found the workmanship and the color match to be superb. Recently in early 2026, my hip and ridge cap were damaged and when I contacted MRC again and I met a salesman named John Vaughn who I had never known or dealt with before. I instructed him to try to match the gray front roof and he assured me that the shingles would. The contract specified Resawn shake to match existing roof and ridge as closely as possible. I did not choose that color and was told that Resawn was the only matching shake MRC had and I had no choice. He never showed me the different color schemes MRC had but insisted that Resawn was the best color. He did insert a note that the Resawn shake (tan) would match the existIng gray presidential shingles as close as possible. When I asked him if that was the closest he said that there was no other gray shake that MRC had that could match and assured me that the Resawn shake was the closest they had. When the workers came they questioned me as to why the gray shake was not selected because the Resawn was not even close in color. When I brought this to the attention of the supervisor, he admitted that Resawn was not the correct color and that gray colored shakes should have been used. Subsequently John Vaughn returned to inspect the job and when I confronted him about the color match he feigned complete ignorance as to whether MRC had any gray colored shakes. In response to my question as to whether he was fully aware of his company's product line, he flippantly said that maybe he was "stupid" and drove away without attempting to resolve the dispute. I found the workmanship to be great. My issue concerns the color scheme that John Vaughn selected for me and the misrepresentation that salesman John Vaughn made to me. I am still hoping that his supervisors will still work with me to correct this. I think that consumers should be extremely careful when dealing with John Vaughn or any salesman and not trust him or others to select a matching "color scheme " for you. Rather require all salesmen to show you a brochure of all shake colors and obtain an actual shake sample before signing a contract.

After initially setting an appt date using their mechanized system, it was more than 2 mths out, I called back again an actually got a 'live' person who moved it up a month earlier. Carson came out on a Saturday to do the estimate. Explained our timetable to him, and he said he would have the estimate to us in 2-3 days. After a week, I called, got their answering service, and asked when I would receive the estimate. They assured me the message would be relayed. NO CALL BACK. Another week passed, called again, and requested same. AGAIN, NO RESPONSE. Its since been nearly a month and I've yet to hear from them. Even sent a message on their online site, still NO CALLBACK OR RESPONSE. This has been a totally disappointing experience and a lack of courtesy. So sad for a local 'family' business. Its not possible to get anyone at the company on the phone, they dont return messages left, their email on the site comes back 'domain not found'. It seems Murakami roofing does not want to have contact with customers. Finding this out now may be a blessing, what if there was a roof leak later?

He then made an appointment to come out and view the roof line in person. After reviewing the roof line, he committed to providing a quote the next day. We did not hear back for two days, so on the third day I called the main office. The receptionist said the rep was in the office and she could connect me to him. Upon answering my call, and learning who I was, he interrupted to advise the job was not something his company would be interested in doing. Why could he not have let me know this when I described the job to him over the phone or after visiting the house? Why would he waste his time and the company's money to pay him to visit our house if he had no intention of taking the job anyway? All great questions. Proceed with great caution.
