I've seen flyers, and door hangers in my neighborhood with FBC roofing. There is a picture of a surfer dude, by the name of Ben Cordeiro which I still have a door hanger I found in my front. At the time, about 5years ago, I was not ready for re-roofing my home, cause I was informed that my roof asphalt shingles were still good. and decided to postpone it. I also walked around the neighborhood and see FBC trucks doing my neighbors houses, in Kapolei. Fast forward in 2025, I decided it was time to re-roof my house, cause I seen asphalt granules on the ground, and I know it came from my roof top, when it rains heavy. I gave them a call and asked for the surfer dude, Ben, who's on the cover of that flyer left on my doorknob, many years ago. Right away, through the power of advertising, they know who i was talking about. Unfortunately, Ben has moved on to open his own roofing company and was referred to Kyle. Due to work conflict schedule, I met him on a Sunday midmorning. Kyle to his ladder and climbed on my roof, to take pictures, take measurements and do a quick assessment. Afterwards, he gave me his verbal summary of what he saw, and took pictures, which he shown me and appeared very knowledgeable about roofing. Later, he emailed me his proposal, in which I could see was very reasonable and competitive with the other guys. Sorry FBC, but I'm going to have to deduct a star from my initial review. This is due to finding out, through recent heavy rains, that my gutters and drains have been clogged. Clogged by a lot of grit and nails from the roof replacement. Again this has to all do with the demo and clean up I addressed in my initial review. Then a few days later a pleasant young "surfer dude" appeared in my driveway offering to inspect my roof and possibly have his company, FBC Roofing, replace the roof and have the project paid for by my homeowner's insurance policy. Needed help replacing a 46" x 46" skylight. This was a simple lift and replace effort bc the manufacturer had provided the replacement window. I needed someone with tools and manpower as could not do this in my own. The initial bid provided by Tyler included line items for things which I questioned if they were not needed would the price be reduced and I also note he had the window measurement larger than it was. Tyler asked if he could send one of his reps out to take a look at the roof. I agreed, and insured someone was available for a time that would fit his coworker's schedule. Following the onsite visit, Tyler and his coworker and I chatted by phone. Tyler agreed FBC could proceed with the job. He shared concern about the types of screws provided by the manufacturer, and Tyler wanted to replace these with stainless steel. Important note here: the existing skylight had been on the roofline for seven years. The screws were not the problem with the window, but rather, the motor on the window failed and the entire unit had to be replaced. Tyler also expressed concern about the weight of the window on a one inch thick by 6 inch high frame and proposed adding a 2 x 4 around the top part of the existing curb mount. Important note here: this would have **added weight** to the existing curb mount because the 2 x 4 would not have been resting on the roof line. The new quote for this was $400 higher. When I question why this was $400 higher, Tyler said he had forgotten to incorporate the cost for staff. The obvious question: what is the $800 quote cover if it didn't include staff? I asked Tyler to go back and review his numbers and noted this seemed quite unfair. At this point Tyler's coworker dropped from the call. I also shared with Tyler the new quote of $1200 was about $600 less than what I was charged seven years earlier to have a total of eight skylights installed on my roof line! Tyler then proposed not doing the job at all because he could tell I was not happy with the new price. I told him I wasn't happy with the new price and he needed to re-review it and confirm it was in fact justified to be a $400 increase. I also noted we needed to move forward with this and I would like to have a new quote. He said he would get me a quote the next day, which happened to be a Saturday. I reached out to him on Saturday around noon because I had not received the bid and I did not hear back from him all weekend. I tried multiple times on Monday to reach him and could not. Then I used a different phone number and Tyler - e was noticeably surprised to hear me on the other end of the call. He said he did not provide the bid because he thought I was upset and he didn't want to get a bad review for the company. I told him I still wanted to have the bid because his company had been the only one, so far, who had been willing to provide a bid to replace the skylight and we needed to have it replaced. He promised he would get the bid to me. After a few more days with no response, I reached out to the owner through social media. I also reached out to the owner through multiple business numbers I found online. An office receptionist told me she was being told the owner was going to call me. He never responded to my social media outreach and he never called. This was horrible customer service. If I could rate this company with less than 1 star, I would. read more

Was washing the car one morning and Julian (FBC salesman) walked by and asked how my roof was after the storm we had about a month ago. "I never thought to look", was what I told him. Our solar tubes were leaking and FBC did our assessment for insurance and did everything to try and get it covered. It ended up not qualifying but they gave us a great price to remove 4 solar tubes and close up those sections of roof. Caught them during a busy time so it did take a couple follow up calls to make sure I got a spot on the calendar, and that would be my only note for improvement but not worth losing a star. Nakota Valentine, the sales tech professional, was my point of contact back in December 2022. He was cool, informative and explained to me the benefits of getting a new roof. Throughout the 4 month process, he kept in touch and apologized heavily for the extensive delay of the project. The inclement weather, backlogs due to supply or staffing issues was probably the reasons and I understood it completely. I must say Nakota is truly an asset for this company and glad I had the pleasure to work with him. Just this past saturday, April 22, my new roof was installed and it looks wonderful. The crew started early in the morning and by 3pm, they were done. The only issue currently having is the solar panel, which is leaking small kine water. After wind incident FBC canvassed our neighborhood of homes 20+ years old and assisted many homeowners, like me, with insurance claims for roof replacement. This part of process went smoothly. Everything following has been a test in patience and civility. There were many calls over project start. When roofing proceeded it was after two delays due to FBC and another due to weather. During this time my project manager changed 5 times and the company's scheduler changed and the GM left. Finally the work day arrived. Crew was on time and remained until sunset to complete the job. However, the lead person was missing and the results were telling. Their manner of work throughout the day was haphazard, messy and the completed job was far less than satisfactory - irregularly placed roofing material, nail holes, broken gutter, missing roof vents, unapproved modification to roof vent, burnt grass. FBC has addresses most issues except roof vents. There were 4 rectangular "turtle" solar vents on roof. I commented on and was assured that workers would be mindful and careful when working around the vents. Three vents were located near roof ridge line toward back of house and one vent was nearer to front of the house. The front vent was modified and replaced with a round metal whirlybird type vent. Workers explained that this was less expensive than the solar vent and insurance didn't provide enough to cover cost. Needless to say I raised concern. FBC replaced whirlybird fan with solar attic fan since FBC did not get prior approval for modification from HOA or the homeowner. The three vents near roof ridge line were completely ELIMINATED!! Initially, this went unnoticed by me because of their position on roof. I discovered their absence while reviewing before/after pictures furnished by FBC. FBC did not obtain homeowner approval but determined on their own that one vent was sufficient. Further, FBC asserted that what they did was to code. The three vents were previously approved by HOA aand was required equipment to operate a whole house attic fan. The fan was contracted and installed several years ago as a safety measure to vent the accumulated hot air and to cool the house during long, hot Kapolei days. Based on FBC assertion about code, I followed up with attic fan professional. He noted that the NFA (net free attic venting) was 4 square feet and a 1600 sf house (like mine) could have more than four vents. Further, he noted the necessity for the vents to release the hot air out of house and are absolutely necessary to operate whole house fan. FBC eliminating vents have effectively made the whole house fan inoperable. FBC irresponsible decision and cavalier attitude disregarded and negated the homeowner's individual choice, efforts, time and expense to create a safe, comfortable dwelling. It's high time for FBC to take responsibility and fix their mistake. read more

I only will give a one-star review because I wasted a lot of time calling and texting the salesperson who never returned my calls or texts. Keas came to my house twice and seemed to be helpful but when I tried to follow-up to get an actually proposal for a new roof, I got no reply. I contact the company to see if he still worked for them and they said they would leave him a message but I still got no reply. I guess they're all too busy! read more

Owner Dave has finally contacted me. Let me know that the blow through are common on older homes and should have been noted to me by his representative at the time inspecting my house and blamed him. For the mishap and told me I should have been charged an extra $1500 for the extra felt they used to prevent blow throughs. Not sure how that works. He then Informed me his technician would be in touch to fix the issues within 2 days. Today is day 2 with no contact still. I have texted Dave himself along with Tommy. No reply. Paint droppings have yet to be repaired or even scheduled to be repaired. Yelp won't let me upload anymore videos or pictures atm. Will update as the situation ages. read more

Working with Fullmer Brothers was a breeze! We were denied a wind damage claim from my insurance company a year ago due to our roofs age. Rob from FBC went up on the roof to inspect some loose shingles after another high wind event a couple of months ago and said I should file a claim with my insurance, and that he would work with them to show damage from the high wind. Sure enough, insurance approved the claim, all we had to pay was our deductible. They filed for our H.O.A. permit after we selected the shingle color, and were put on the schedule for full shingle replacement including tear off of the old shingles. Their timing is impressive! 7:30 arrival, 8:00 begin scraping old roof off, 9:00 rubbish bin arrived to start loading the old materials, 10:30 rooftop delivery of new materials, and begin laying vapor barrier, and new shingles, done by 4:30 the same day including a thorough cleaning of the yard, and street of rubbish, and nails. They coordinated the plumber to come and remove the solar panels during teardown, and reinstall them after the job was completed, and had the deteriorated foam pipe insulation replaced upon re-installation. All plumbing, and bathroom vent outlets were replaced with new ones, they even pointed out some rotting wood on one corner of the fascia behind the gutter and replaced the piece for a nominal charge since they were working on the roof anyway. We are very pleased with the service provided by Fullmer Brothers Construction, and would recommend them without hesitation. read more

FBC Roofing is one of those companies that send people around the neighborhoods looking for roofs that need to be replaced. Ours was 26 years old, and definitely needed replacement, but I knew that it was going to cost a lot. Ben came to our house to look at our roof and said that he saw signs of wind damage and he would get our homeowner's insurance to pay for it, less our deductable. He walked me threw the insurance claim submission, and we got the roof replacement approved by our insurance. The total cost of replacement was going to be $26,589, but we only had to pay $500. We upgraded from the standard shingles to thicker ones with a lifetime warranty and we also had some wood rot behind our gutters that needed to be replaced, and we had 15 PV panels to be removed, so we had to pay about $7,900. There were some glitches along the way. Ben was new to the business and was learning as he went along. We were given samples of GAF shingles to choose from, and picked the ones we wanted. When we got the approval from our association, the brand of shingles was Certainteed instead of GAF. We were caught off guard by this switch-a-roo. After calling FBC's office, they admitted to the error, but now a new approval had to be submitted to our association which caused a delay. Once we got the approval from association for the GAF shingles, Cheryl said that they could do the installation the following week. Little did she know that our shingles weren't in stock. So now we had another delay, until the shipment came in, which was about a month later. The crew that did the installation were awesome. They cleaned up after themselves with the leaf blower and used a magnet around the perimeter of our house to pick up any stray nails. We were going to get new gutters, so they removed the old gutters to be thrown away. This is where their work ethics fell. Instead of removing the old gutters neatly, they just yanked them out, which caused the screws that attached the gutters to the wood to strip out from the wood. This made the wood pucker out from each screw that was yanked out. We paid extra to get the wood facia that had wood rot, and Ben noted all of the areas that needed to be replaced. When they were done, only about 75% of them were replaced. One area had a big hole from the wood rot and could not have been un-noticed, and it wasn't replaced. I told them that I wasn't going to sign off on the completed job until they were fixed. But FBC was so busy doing a big job for BYU that they didn't have any carpenters available. Eventually they had 2 guys finish the job and all was good. Overall, the roofing part of the job was outstanding. But after the job was done, I'm sure that they must've had extra unused shingles. We paid for the shingles, so the unused shingles should have been left with us. Extra shingles are important to have, just in case of unforseen circumstances. From the guys who did the roof replacement, to Ben who was our salesman, to the people in the office from Cheryl and Erika, and David who's the owner...everyone was easy to work with and did everything possible to make sure we were happy with the job. read more

Five stars for FBC Roofing! Due to recent heavy rain and winds, we had missing and damaged shingles. I kept procrastinating looking for a roofer. It was a God send that Daniel C. was in the neighborhood. He was very knowledgeable about roofing and educated me on what would work best. He provided me with samples of roofing materials, took measurements, and gave us an estimated cost. I live in a neighborhood with an Association so he assisted me with getting the permit for approval. At first, the Association denied my original color choice. Through this entire process, we continued to have strong winds and rain so I felt discouraged by the minute, wondering if we were ever going to be able to re-roof. Fortunately, Daniel had a positive - don't worry - can do attitude that helped me move forward. I am happy to say we met our scheduled appt a day earlier because they were ahead of their schedule. I give all the credit to Fullmer Brothers Construction (FBC) for giving us a new roof. It was a huge blessing to get our roof done via insurance claim that FBC brought to our attention. Honestly, it was too good to be true and skeptical at first when we got approached by FBC. But hey, there is no hurt in trying right, and so, we gave it a try. FBC rep Mr. Daniel Lopez was very professional and helpful in helping us putting together our claim and was there every step of the process. The process was for me, i submitted the claim to my insurance. Upon receiving the claim, the adjuster from the insurance called to schedule an appointment to come out and inspect the damages to your roof and FBC insist that they be there too when the adjuster comes out so they can help make a case/fight for the homeowner. Which is exactly what happened, Mr. Daniel was there when the adjuster came out and i didn't have to be there. To my surprise, almost immediately after the adjuster came out, i got a call from Mr. Lopez that the claim is approved (unofficially) but it will be official as soon as the adjuster calls me. A week later, i got the first check in the mail. FBC submitted the permit request and all the required documents to our Association on our behalf. Like I said, if it wasn't for FBC, we would not have our new roof done at an extremely affordable cost called "deductible". We have solar PV panels and solar water heater panel. FBC took care of taking down all the panels and putting it back. They hired the electrician and the water heater guys to come out to turn off the PV system and water heater; talking about getting the right man for each of the jobs to make sure it's done correctly and systems are back online. FBC did a great job with our roof repair. Their roofing guys did a great job and they worked hard. They also did a great job cleaning after the job especially with all the old nails that came off the old shingles. They also helped me installed my 6 vents on the roof for my whole house cooling fan for free. Thank you owner Dave. I strongly recommend to give FBC rep a chance when they come knocking on your door to inspect your roof. And if you're looking for a roofer to do your roof, I would strongly recommend FBC. And if you refer someone to FBC and get a business/job out of that referral, they'll credit you $250 for it. I referred a friend to FBC while my roof repair was going through the paperwork process, and my friend got their roof claim approved as well. So from referring my friend, i was given a credit of $250 that was deducted from my roof job cost. So by the end of my roof job, i got an even sweeter deal; only paid $314.50 out of pocket for a $16, 753.63 roof job that was covered by my awesome FICO insurance. FBC is legit. They did an excellent roof job and exceeded all my expectations. read more

I had some damage to my roof from high winds. I called FBC and Robert came out. He took a look at the damage and said that my home owners insurance might cover the damage. I put in a claim with State Farm and they covered the whole cost (minus my deductable) of a new roof that was professionally installed. Literally the worst experience. Complete and utter lack of professionalism. Multiple roofs replaced on our property. 1st large home. They did not put the proper cover over the entire roof and it rained heavy that night. Multiple rooms POURING rain. Destroying our library with all my childrens homeschool and charter school materials. Company did not replace or offer nor did they repair the ceiling damage. I was told by the owner at 630am to file a claim with my insurance. Wow, really. 2nd home had something large dropped through the ceiling. Which the foreman (owners brother in law) laughed off and said they wi get someone to repair. It took almost 6 weeks of me pressuring Fulmer's before they would repair their mistake. Roofing nails everywhere INCLUDING in my dogs paw. My children were picking up roofing nails. It took 3 calls to get the 'foreman' out to pick up. Years later still finding them. We were overcharged for material out of contract that was not approved or signed for. Now come to discover their terrible workmanship (reflects their behavior)- we have leaks. We have leaks in a roof that is not even 2 yrs old. Wow, just wow. Of course no return call from Dave, the owner or an associate. This company is absolutely disgusting. Colin acted like a representative of Fullmer, and he assured us that a specially trained crew would install the new roof, but when the roof was completed it was pretty obvious that the Fullmer crew were inexperienced. For example, in several places, the crew had lapped the Gaaco upward onto the shingles, with the result that water running off the shingles collected beneath the Gaaco. One does not have to be a roofer to understand the absurdity of such work. Some days the crew showed up, some days they didn't. In the first heavy rain, the roof leaked in four distinct places, and it is still leaking in two places. I am now in the process of looking for another company to re-do the work that Fullmer Brothers was paid $40,000 to do.
