This review is long overdue. Before the pandemic Dan helped us find our perfect dog. He took great efforts to find the perfect dog for my autistic son and then train all of us, and the dog, so that he would be able to be a service dog and companion animal for our boy. I'm crazy grateful to Dan. He did a great job and we have the perfect dog. Literally everyone who sees our dog realizes we have a special dog. He's not a guard dog, because he's a companion animal. I think that our dog is our family's most prized possession. It's the only thing we are worried about getting stolen. Dan was instrumental at helping us find and train the dog. We wanted to rescue a dog, and we even checked some of the rescue dogs out. But Dan said that for a companion animal, we should go to a breeder. He picked the best superstar breeder who had a bunch of kids around the dogs so that our dog would be used to kids. Dan was 100% right. I wanna be Daniel Ross when I grow up lol. I am in school for dog behavioral and dog training. I ended up with a Doberman Pinscher on my doorstep who was abused. I have four dogs of my own and trying to complete school. I took this 2 year old Dobie in, and decided I would try to train him and make him adoptable. Well this is a strong, fierce breed. He has worked two times so far with my Dobie, we have a ways to go because we are taking this Dobie ALL the way to service dog training. I rescued a dog, half Border Collie, half Australian Cattle Dog. Shortly after we got her, she started showing signs of aggression - particularly towards men. She became very territorial and would growl at everyone who came to our house (except for my kids and me) and would try to bite men. I thought I was going to have to get rid of her because of her aggression. However, she is a rescue, and I wanted to give her every chance to stay in our home. I want to start off by saying there are some weird reviews about Dan and I can personally say he is not what they state. He is so genuine, caring, and knowledgeable. He is a dog TRAINER not a therapist for the dog owner. Our 1.5 Year Old Bruno who's a Rescue "Stray" from San Bernardino is a better dog today because of Dan and all his training. He taught not only Bruno so much in just 3 1 hour sessions but taught us so much about him and even provided us with step by step documents to continue his training. Bruno is not aggressive, loves humans, but has 0 socialization meaning he LOVES dogs but has NO idea how to play yet. He's a high energy breed and I can confirm VERY stubborn, he's tenacious and that can make training complicated, but not for dan. He typically whines and cries and lunges out of pure excitement and I felt so ashamed. Thanks to Dan we are that much closer to a happy friendly Bruno who is confident with other dogs. Bruno learned down in 10 minutes. You can't make this stuff up. Thank you Dan so much! If anyone has doubts cause of other BS reviews. PLEASE READ MINE! I'll admit I was a bit wary at first, but not long into our first session I realized Dan knows his stuff. If you have a dog who needs some tough love, you won't be disappointed. Once you start to work together, you'll find that he has a deep fondness for dogs, an uncanny sense of how they think, learn and behave, and a gift for leveraging those into actions and explanations that can help you and your dog. We have rescue dog who had some behavior challenges regarding other dogs and people. Dan asked our needs and then suggested strategies that should help. When he learned we could not apply all of them, he had other techniques that were doable. An action plan in place and in motion, wiithin a week our dog had changed markedly. Within two weeks things were even better, and she had learned basic commands that prior she totally ignored. Within three weeks we could walk her with little or no aggression toward strangers and other dogs. As of today, she still has a way to go, but is overall well behaved and continuing to improve. And, thanks to Dan we have what we need to finish the process. During the training process, Dan followed up with at home and then at location meetings, emails and contacts. His methods require some hardware/accessories that he told us he could sell us, while openly volunteering that we could get them elsewhere a little more cheaply. That said, nothing was that expensive, we appreciated the convenience, and we realize that earning income by having exactly what's needed in the moment allows him to keep his other fees lower -- a win-win in our opinion. read more

I sent two of my puppies to Dan for board and training for 3 weeks. Before I sent them, they did not listen very well and were just all over the place. The worst part was the constant nonstop barking when they were not being played with or when they were separated even if for a brief moment. After 3 weeks, it is like I have 2 brand new dogs. They follow commands and the barking is down to a minimum (only when they need to be let out or when someone comes home). I'm very pleased with Dans training and appreciate that he kept me involved every step of the way and even provided me with an ample amount of training materials that I can read, as well as his own handwritten notes to summarize the materials. He even threw in a ball, a bone and a couple of other toys for the girls when they came home which I thought was very nice. Daniel helped us with our 8 year old Aussie. He's a good boy but was extremely difficult to walk on the leash. He's so strong and the constant pulling was exhausting to the point where I really hated to walk him. I have a young, very energetic 90 lb dog & just going for walks was an adventure. I was literally peering around corners & thru bushes always on the alert for anything that would over excite or spook him causing him lunge. Dan is a great trainer. First off let me start by saying this is our 3rd dog trainer for our 3 year old German Shepherd. It will also be our last because he has become a balanced dog that will no longer has the urges to bark, jump, or lung every time someone comes near my wife or I.
